Billy's on Main hits the nail on the head in all four of these categories. As for the drinks, the old fashioneds here are top notch, so are the amaretto sours, and their ice cream drinks are to die for. I didn't get a chance for any other drink, but I'll be coming back. The service was by far the best part of the experience. The bartenders were super friendly and extremely nice. Super welcoming and personable, it was a lot of fun chatting with them at the bar. Once seated, I couldn't believe the prices! Ribeye for $31?? Tenderloin in the $20's?! What a treat. And as for the vibe, this was classic supper club. Someone to bring waters, someone to take your order and bring the check, people to bring out food. Everyone was friendly and we had our water glasses refilled once. Food: The food was okay. I'm really torn on the experience because some reviews said the food was over seasoned but ours was a weird mix. Appetizers- The cheese curds were so tiny (they were smaller than my thumb nail) that all you tasted was batter and salt. The lobster bisque was really over seasoned and it needed acid (fresh lemon wedge on the side would have been nice). It was super rich which is expected but it needed something to break it up. I think they tried doing that with the creme fraiche on top but it didn't work. Entrees- I had the lobster cobb salad and my partner had the lobster rolls. The lobster rolls were super tiny so they were still hungry when they left and there wasn't much flavor or filling. The french fries were decent, probably the best part of the meal. The lobster cobb salad was so bland. Whatever dressing they had on the lettuce tasted of just avocado, which doesn't have a lot of flavor. The lobster itself was sweet in flavor but the cooking of it felt off, it was stringy? I ended up leaving most of the salad on my plate. I'm thinking we just ordered the wrong items off of the menu based off of other reviews. But it's quite a long drive for us to come here so I can't see us going out of our way to come back.

It must be because, whoa, amber is the color of Three Eleven's energy. I could tell, as soon as I entered Three Eleven, that is was my type of place. The lighting was muted, there were white tablecloths on the tables, as well as fresh flowers in small vases. I just respond to those types of things. Then I found out there's a great wine list, the menu is pared down, the food offered is well-thought-out, and the service is excellent. All this before I even had a bite or a drink. I visited for lunch, so I ordered the Roasted Beet Salad, which is mixed greens, beets, burrata cheese, roasted almonds and a citrus vinaigrette. You can get chicken or salmon with this salad, but I opted for neither: the burrata was enough, and frankly, that's the reason why I ordered the salad. (That, and the beets. I love beets.) The salad was cold and light and refreshing -- the type of salad that you can't stop eating because it's so satisfying. I also ordered a bowl of lobster bisque, which was thick and creamy, with big chunks of lobster. This, too, was so satisfying that I didn't want to stop eating it. It came with a piece of bread to sop up every last bit. My table also ordered a few things to share, including the frites (one order was plain, the other was truffle), calamari, and because we're in Wisconsin, we also got the cheese curds. I tried everything except the calamari (I am not a fan in general), and the plain fries were my favorite. Frites come with a sauce of your choosing. Three Eleven Bar & Bistro is located in downtown Algoma, next door to a bookstore and other cute shops. It's a nice place to stop in for lunch or dinner while you're in the Algoma area.
