I also enjoyed an appetizer featuring melted goat cheese with a wonderful tomato sauce and arugula paired with delicious crusty bread. I was a skeptic but wow! I also tried their chicken satay and it wasn't my favorite but everything else was fantastic. What an incredible find, amazing place to sip a cocktail crafted by Grace and enjoy some great food.

Very disappointed to get my espresso martini served in a water glass versus a martini glass. Ask the server about a martini glass and was told they were out of glassware due to how busy it was as I saw several other drinks come out to tables including martinis. Brunch/Lunch Review! It's been years since I've been to…read morePlank Road but always enjoy their food offerings, outdoor patio, and overall atmosphere. When they started offering weekend brunch, it felt natural to revisit and try their new menu out. To start, I got the Espresso Martini which was definitely more Bailey's cream than anything. I didn't get a caffeine kick like I was hoping for. A lot of their brunch food items have a spicy element that deterred us from wanting to order. We ended up waiting the 15 to 11am so that we could order off the lunch menu. We started with the Combo Basket and Spinach & Artichoke Dip. I love that the dip comes with both fresh pita chips and toasted garlic bread. This is a must have appetizer! The Combo Basket was an array of fried food: chicken tenders, french fry medley, pickles, curds, onion rings paired with three sauces (bbq, ranch, honey mustard). If you go with a bigger group, this is an easy app to share. For entrees, I got the Garlic Parm Boneless wings. They were perfectly sauced and came with quite a few for the price. My husband got the Smoked Duck Salad which was tasty having fresh lettuce paired with the smokey, cold cut duck. My friends got the House Salad and Bourbon Bleu Burger. Sadly, the burger barely had any cheese on it which is my friend's favorite part. While the food overall was amazing, we sadly had a lacking experience in the service department. Courtney was our server and often missed revisiting our table for water refills, ordering food, or getting another round of drinks. She did mess up one drink order and rather than giving us the drink, she took it back which is fair. She lacked a pleasant demeanor and we left feeling off about the encounter. The kitchen also took longer than normal to push food out. While this may have been a bad day, it was notable by our whole group. I hope this element continues to improve as Plank Road overall is a great neighborhood spot right off the expressway! Tip: Weekend Brunch menu seems to be offered all morning but lunch food menu starts at 11am. Pro Tip: The bar has pull tabs for cash purchase.

They have ample bar seating and table seating. Decent amount of parking. The elevator right when you enter takes you down to the bathroom, I didn't use them so I'm not sure on cleanliness. The actual restaurant itself was very clean. Service: They have a method set up where you have multiple people assisting you throughout the entire experience. Someone to bring waters, someone to take your order and bring the check, people to bring out food. Everyone was friendly and we had our water glasses refilled once. Food: The food was okay. I'm really torn on the experience because some reviews said the food was over seasoned but ours was a weird mix. Appetizers- The cheese curds were so tiny (they were smaller than my thumb nail) that all you tasted was batter and salt. The lobster bisque was really over seasoned and it needed acid (fresh lemon wedge on the side would have been nice). It was super rich which is expected but it needed something to break it up. I think they tried doing that with the creme fraiche on top but it didn't work. Entrees- I had the lobster cobb salad and my partner had the lobster rolls. The lobster rolls were super tiny so they were still hungry when they left and there wasn't much flavor or filling. The french fries were decent, probably the best part of the meal. The lobster cobb salad was so bland. Whatever dressing they had on the lettuce tasted of just avocado, which doesn't have a lot of flavor. The lobster itself was sweet in flavor but the cooking of it felt off, it was stringy? I ended up leaving most of the salad on my plate. I'm thinking we just ordered the wrong items off of the menu based off of other reviews. But it's quite a long drive for us to come here so I can't see us going out of our way to come back.
