We are road tripping and needed a place for lunch off of HWY 24. Loopy Larry's sounded intriguing, and I am so glad we stopped! They have a variety of soups, salads and sandwiches. I had a grilled cheese and tomato dill soup and the soup was honestly some of the best soup I've ever had. Okay, let me start by saying this- stop what you're doing and get yourself to Loopy Larrys. Don't cook dinner, don't go to your usual spot. Matt at Loopy Larrys is a food god that makes a tomato soup I'd drive all the way from Atlanta to have it again. They added fresh dill and I now question who the fool was that said basil is the herb for tomato soup (damn you Italy!). Tomato dill soup is a flavor bomb! I had the 1/2 soup 1/2 sandwich (Thai chicken) to be honest- its more than I can eat in one sitting. I don't know the eating habits of the reviewers that said it's small portions, but I'll tell you this is a large lunch! I'll be back. Keep up the great food and fantastic customer service. I've had their fried baloney sandwich before, but I finally had the opportunity to stop in for an actual in-person lunch. I had the Cobb salad and a cup of French onion soup. There was quite a lunch crowd, but we were still served fast and with pleasantness. The portions are really big! I ordered a half-salad, but it was still a lot. It was a basic Cobb salad, nothing remarkable, but still fine. It came with a vinaigrette dressing that was good, but I should have asked for bleu cheese. I guess I forgot, but still a little surprised that they never asked about a dressing. The soup was also good, but not amazing. The feel of the place is very strip mall-ish, but clean and bright. This is a tiny gem totally worth checking out! We ordered the half sandwich, soup and salad combos, with one sandwich plus soup and one sandwich plus salad. It was all amazing! The absolute bomb! We were driving from Gatlinburg to Kansas City, and Paducah was the right place for lunch. There are many restaurants around town, but not that many reasonably close to the interstate that are not fast food chains. Larry's is counter service (not table service), but the food selection is very eclectic and the quality was phenomenal. My wife loved her down home Grilled Cheese Sandwich and her specialty Tomato Soup, and my Phat Thai Salad was enormous and fabulous. If I lived closer by, I would eventually try every single item on their menu. read more

Figured I'd try this local place instead of subway. I wanted a fresh and crisp leafy club for a healthy lunch. Ordered the ham club, got a plain greasy dripping wet Philly looking thing that made me feel sick after I ate it. Service was great, establishment is clean. Had the BBQ bologna sandwich. It was excellent. You don't get thick bologna like that every place. We also had the thick smoked bologna sandwich with mustard, cheese, and lettuce. It's a little off the beaten path local sandwich place that serves up all different kinds of sandwiches. Their specialties are soup and salads as well. read more

All the reviews that I saw were great. It had a minimal sitting indoors. It had a moldy smell when I walked in. I still wanted to try a sandwich my pastrami was extremely salty. My husband got the roast beef, it was served cold. No place I have ever been served roast beef cold. $4 for a portion soup and most sandwichs are between $8-12 in cost. Do yourself a favor and drive past it to the subway across the parking lot. In fairness I didn't try a soup. read more

Stopped here on the way home from a soccer tournament after a quick glance at yelp. Fun, bright decor, and great food! My daughter and I ordered the chicken tortilla soup, and I also had the sriracha chicken sandwich. The sandwich was very good, and the kid loved her soup and had mine as well. This was a random stop on a road trip and the food was amazing. I got 1/2 a Cobb salad and 1/2 a Cubano. The salad was ginormous and beautiful with fresh sliced avocado and hard boiled eggs. Very tasty. The Cubano was on the sweet side, but still really good. My three fellow diners were similarly impressed with their food. Definitely will be back if we run through Paducah again. read more

Anyways after we said yes, he immediately told us to get out and come to the window because the food had been ready. His tone was rude and confrontational, as if we had been sitting there for a long time, even though it had only been a couple of minutes. I asked if there was an issue because I was genuinely confused why someone felt the need to come knock on our car window. There was no reason to approach our vehicle, especially while we were taking care of our infant. My fiancé then went to the window, and I followed. At the window, the employee changed the story about how long we'd supposedly been waiting and pointed to the order on the screen as if she already knew exactly which order it was. Then, immediately after showing us the order, she asked what was in it, which didn't make much sense. The entire interaction felt unprofessional and unnecessarily hostile. We understand that restaurants want orders picked up promptly, but being only a couple of minutes past the pickup time does not justify employees knocking on customers' car windows and speaking to them disrespectfully. A little courtesy and professionalism would have gone a long way. This place needs to really reconsider how they treat drivers/customers. I would've gave 0 stars if that had been an option.

Perfectly crispy and moist inside. It was easily cut with the plastic knife I had. The rice was just over the line or too salty but when mixed with the chicken and veggies it all worked. It was a delicious meal. The food comes out pretty quickly, especially if you get the special since it's sitting up front on the line. I don't live nearby so don't get to come here as often as I'd like but I definitely want to try more of their specials. So much of what they post looks amazing. I love that the students are learning and we benefit!
