I am very unhappy about the attitude and services by Loomis Express. I just had a chat with customer support representative Franca. I was asking her whether they would call me when they deliver the item. She said their driver didn't have a cell phone to notify the customers that he is delivering the item. Seriously? In the age of technology? Well, he will buzz the unit number. What if the buzzer is connected to the other member of the family? Should I wait on the street whole day waiting for a delivery? She didn't give me any solutions claiming it is written in their terms & conditions (to have a buzzer). Franca refused to send me the terms & conditions and she closed the chat on me. That was pretty rude and unprofessional. The worst customer support ever! I found the terms & conditions on their website and it says that they do EVERYTHING to deliver the item to the recipient. In a professional view, this company really is bad. They misplaced your packages and most of the time they don't know where the hell they are and they have to investigate it first which is a total waste of time if you don't like to wait. I would avoid this courier as much as possible. read more

My and my husband's new cellphones were shipped to us using Loomis. What a disaster. They claimed to have attempted to deliver twice but no delivery notices were left to allow me to either pick up the package or reschedule. They finally phoned me and we agreed to a deliver date. Needless to say, I waited all day and no package showed up. I assumed they had returned the package and I would hear from the shipper in due course. Nope. They showed up 4 days later. In this day where online shopping is the norm, I have no idea why Loomis is in business. read more

Absolutely awful. No attempt to deliver, just says bad address, people at the call center and online chat were dismissive and rude to me. Now for some reason it is being sent out on a truck again even though I requested to just pick it up myself from Burnaby. I will never order from walmart.ca again and will never use Loomis again. This company is terrible at every level. They cannot and will not fulfill the basic functions of a delivery company and when they are called out on that fact they become rude and condescending. I don't believe I've ever dealt with such an awful and braindead shipping company. They told me to pick up my package which they failed to deliver. And when I arrive at the pickup location they tell me it's at another location. They can't even keep track of the packages that they are responsible for delivering. I've been trying to get my package for several days now and still no success. I'm honestly surprised that this company is still in business especially with their braindead employees. read more

Worst service. I ordered a package for delivery with ETA Nov. 27th. No delivery. I waited until Dec. 3rd and called in, after 45 mins on hold the rep advised she would call me back - no call back. I called again today, Dec. 4th and waited another 30 mins on hold and was advised my package is large, they're busy as it's peak season so no ETA. Then why initially give me an ETA of Nov. 27th? I would of just made other arrangements. I've dealt with FedEx & UPS - no issues ever and great service, first time dealing with Loomis - hopefully last as well. read more

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a courier. I ordered something online. The delivery guy posted a delivery notice on the mailbox inside our apartment building the first time , I signed it and gave Specific instructions to leave it at our apartment door for the second attempt. I gave the number he should call and somebody was home that day he did the second attempt. Second attempt, the guy left a second notice, stuck it to our apartment door but did not leave the item.When I called customer service, I was told that it would be at the depot for pickup for the next five days. My husband came to pick it up on the third day only to be told that they have returned it to the shipper. Of course we were upset. So we called customer service only to be told that it was in the depot according to their records. I was still at work then so I asked if they could give me the number of the depot so I could talk to whoever myself and this agent said that they dont have that number. They are the central calling center for Loomis and they dont have the number of their location in Burnaby. Then the agent even insulted me by saying that my husband should have taken the number himself since he was there anyway. When I asked for her name she put the phone down. If ther was a no star button I'd give them no stars they don't even deserve a 1 star. For starters if gotten the run around all week. I paid my duties and taxes online over a week ago and loomis never received my recipet and continued to leave me a slip saying I owed money when I did not.... I was also at work and gave them authorization to leave my package. Driver again never received anything. The final slip said I have to go pick my package up but there's is no location in for available anywhere! I called and they keep telling me they are gonna sort it out and redeliver my package and I am still waiting Iv gotten the run away all week and they have waisted so much of my time. My mom actually ended up running into one of the Loomis drivers and stoped and got out to speak with him and ask him what's going on and he replied YOU THINK I CAN HELP YOU!? and turned his back and walked away. My mom standing there shocked said to him this is the worst company I've ever seen! He replied with Thank you! And got back in his truck and actually sped off so fast my mom couldn even get his licence plate number. This is hands down the worst company ever they do not even deserve a 1 star! read more

I bought an Arctic King chest freezer from Walmart (just across the road from where I live but oddly Walmart shipped it from Calgary?!?) and it arrived several days early and in perfect working order - no dents. Free delivery and courier moved it right up to my apartment! No complaints at all and was easy to track online. read more

Ordered something from Walmart online and Loomis was the courier. The item did not show up one week after the expected delivery date. When I called Loomis they told me that 3 "attempts" had been made and I would have to drive to their center in Burnaby to pick up the item. I told them that I have security cameras and no attempts were made but they insisted my only option was to pick up the item and pay a $10 non-delivery fee. I went to Loomis the next day and they did not have my item at the depot. They told me that it appeared that each day the item went out on a truck for delivery but my address was never reached so the item returned back to the depot to be put on a truck for the next day. They tried searching the depot for an hour while I waited and couldn't find the item. They told me to COME BACK THE NEXT DAY to try again. At this point I was given the phone number of upper management in Ontario and had a 1 hour phone conversation explaining my situation and told them I refused to drive back to Burnaby everyday to see if they had the package. The next day they found the item and express couriered to my location. This much effort should not be needed for a parcel delivery from Walmart. read more

I came here to write a negative review but obviously after reading the other reviews here, mine is just going to be another drop in the bucket. I've been waiting for my shipment from Walmart (darn Canada Post strike-I bet Walmart wouldn't use them if not necessary) and I have no idea where my package is. The driver came to my door to yesterday (Dec 4) with an attempt notice that was dated Dec 1. The website tracking said they tried to come to my door on Dec 1 but the 'business was closed' when we're in a condo with a 24 hour concierge. These people obviously make zero attempts to actually deliver. I waited 30 minutes to talk to someone on the phone who just ended up arguing with me about the drivers attempts. Someone was home or at least at the concierge desk the whole time. Now reading the other reviews are making me very nervous, as I still don't have my package. I'm worried that it will be lost, stuck on a truck for weeks, or damaged. Why would anyone still try to use Loomis? read more

The worst shipping company I have ever used. If I could give a negative review I would. A full month of them wasting my time only for them to return the package to sender after I paid extra to have them deliver it a third time ( eventhough they never even attempted a delivery) the customer service is TERRIBLE!!!! loomis is the worst company, they 'delivered' my package, somehow got into my apartment, i was home both times, i left instructions on my mailbox to drop it off, and still they could not drop it off. i spent hours on the phone with these people, no one knows what is going on, a supervisor called me with different information the same day of. i have been waiting for my package for 3 weeks from loomis, their home base is over an hour driving from where I live. no one knows how to help, no one answers my emails, i will NEVER use this service again. read more

Loomis made a feeble attempt to deliver a small package on Friday Nov 9th., we were home at the time but the delivery person didn't take the time to call as requested nor knock loud enough for us to hear. He/she left a half filled no access card without any details as to another delivery date. I had to call several times to their call center and she says that the delivery will take place before noon on Tuesday Nov 13th., Waited until noon, no delivery person, called several more times with the reassurance that I would be updated via a call, 3 times I talked to 3 different people at their call center and 3 times no call or update! wasted the entire day waiting for these incompetent non caring individuals. If this company is the same outfit as Loomis armoured car services I wouldn't trust them handling 10 bucks!! How can they compete with real deliver companies like Fedex/UPS etc.? Loomis Express employees promised to deliver a very important package within 2 days, via a direct flight, then promptly shipped it indirectly via two additional cities, so that it arrived a day late. When I reported this outcome, and my resulting considerable business loss, a sequence of three low-level employees apologized and indicated that I would be refunded my fees immediately. The refund didn't materialize. Eventually, a Manager angrily asserted that all of the junior people were wrong about the refund, and wanted me to provide their names so that they could be disciplined for having offered to assist me in that regard. Her explanation why there would be no refund was, and I quote her: "there is no guaranteed delivery". There is no guaranteed delivery ?! It seems to me that, when a delivery company cannot guarantee delivery by the date whereby their staff guarantee delivery, they should cease business. I will certainly never use their services again. read more

Paid for them to deliver my luggage cross-province since circumstances transpired that had me without it. Today is the fourth day after they were supposed to have delivered it and it seems they have lost it and are doing an 'investigation'. Which is all very nice, but doesn't replace the shoddy mishandling and the near-constant problems since. We assumed since my family has used them in the past for business that they'd be professional and quick. Unfortunately not. We tried twice, to get my luggage, the first time the guy dropped off a slip with my partner at our home and then left with the promise of returning the next day. HE DID NOT RETURN!!! The second time, the package left and as I've said before it HAS NOT ARRIVED AND IT HAS BEEN FOUR DAYS! I am living off the generosity of my family and my carry on and that is it. DO NOT use this company if you value your stuff. They also make contacting them extremely difficult and they have no real way of doing it after hours, not even an email. The live chat is a joke. I got the worst ever service. I ordered 2 items from Walmart. First time it was delivered through canada post - prompt service and I was very happy with that so I ordered 2 more items and this time they sent through Loomis and I have not yet received my orders which I was supposed to receive on Nov7. I called them 5 times already and did chat with them. Got same answer - that they have given for investigation. I wonder for how long they are going to investigate this. A trace was opened and I spoke to one lady and she told me it is with the driver (for about 3 weeks) and if I am not okay to wait I can cancel it!!!!!!!! Its the first company which tells people "Hey this is a busy season. We will deliver when we can. If you cannot wait, just cancel it". If they are not able to deliver on time they should probably hire more drivers so that things go smoothly. But instead they make the customers wait indefinitely!!!!! read more

This company is terrible to deal with. Their first attempt at delivery was made on a Friday, an hour and 20 minutes before my store opens. My store hours are clearly posted on an 11 x 17 inch sign right above the door handle. They leave an "Attempt Notice" on the door stating that they will make the second delivery attempt on Monday. My store is closed on Mondays...which is also clearly stated in letters an inch tall on my 11x17 inch "Hours of Operation" sign that is posted right above the door handle. They only make two attempts at delivery (which I understand completely), but to make those two attempts at delivery at times and on days when my business is closed is just ridiculous. I filled out a "Reshedule a Delivery" request on their webpage after the first delivery attempt, and it stated that I would get a confimation email if they were going to reschedule the delivery for a day and time that I requested (on a day my store was open!). No email came, so here I sit, on my day off, in a closed store, with a sign on the door stating that "I am here, please knock for delivery", after calling their office to check on the rescheduling, and being told it was indeed coming today...despite me filling out the reschedule request. I also find it frustrating that the first delivery attempt was made early in the morning, so I made sure to be here very early in the morning for the second attempt (the person I spoke to on the phone said the drivers have a strict schedule for their daily route which they have to adhere to and they can't change it!), yet here I am, hours later, and still no delivery, while a second phone call now informs me that they have no idea when the delivery is going to be made (Wow, what happened to that "strict schedule" and "daily route" that couldn't be changed?!?). And if they somehow make the second delivery attempt and I'm not here, I have no choice but to hire someone to drive an hour to another city where the item will be held, because they will not make a third attempt, even if I offer to pay them, despite the fact that they have been notified of my business hours and they are chosing to deliver outside of the hours that my business is open. read more

well, i purchased something from walmart( yes its shipped from china ) and i live in vancouver area, dhl( mother company ) shipped it to loomis in ontario, and the packaged HAS BEEN "STUCKED" in mississaiga since 15 nov. the tracing started 21 nov...to this day...they have neither return any calls( and i have called them more than twice/day), btw these are their 18xx numbers: 1-855-256-6647-1-3 general num, press 1 for english, 3 to speak with some one 1-877-452-5856 and note their "tracers" numbers; and their burnaby #: loomis 604-415-8400 loomis transport 604-420-6029 but don't bother try to call them...as one press "*"...they said it was not recognized.. and hang up...isn't that "great" for local support ??? this message/review will be emailed to loomis' Vice President, Commercial (Sales and Customer Service JeanMarc.sager@loomis-express.com...as well as to walmart, but one point is this...the customer response persons from 1-855-256-6647 are very courteous ...its their trace group... and the local loomis are the "winners" you all, in future think it over if one should use loomis... peter read more
