My kids loved the fountain play area, lazy river and water slides, dad loves the lap pool and hot tub. There's a nice variety of paid and "free" classes for both kids and adults, as well as community activities and access to physical therapists and personal trainers. I'm an amateur kettlebell sport athlete and use the facility 4-5 times per week. The staff is generally friendly, helpful and accommodating, they keep things reasonably clean and in good repair and they have a wide variety of cardio equipment, free weights and weight machines to choose from. It can get crowded evenings and weekends, but there's seldom a long wait for equipment. I love ending my workout in the steam room or sauna and a nice hot shower before I head to work. I've had memberships at chain and franchise gyms as well as private gyms. If you're self-motivated and have your own training plan, this is a great budget-friendly option! So grateful to have access to this great facility supported by our community!!

This one is close to home so I checked it out on a Sunday afternoon and for $4, it wasn't a horrible waste of money. They have a regular pool with a slide and kiddie pool and a lot of lifeguards, like five or so for such a small space! I really hoped that they would have chairs to lay in but no dice, only a few picnic tables and some seats that area little low to the ground and go back a little. I stayed for about two hours and went on my way and by the time I slept there were about 12-13 people there. It's basically a no frills, which is what I was expecting, but think I will check out other pools in the hood the next time.

They're dated and if you want to increase or decrease your speed quickly, well you're out of luck. They just seem to have some of everything... Rower, elliptical, bikes. But you can't beat the price, if you're in Aurora resident it's crazy ridiculous and they have monthly memberships plus 10 pass deals which land you under $4 a visit. I mainly go for the weight area and equipment but they have an array of group fitness classes so maybe one day that will happen. This place is very kid heavy so if you're looking for peace and quiet, go elsewhere. Picky nit? The facility faces west and has amazing views of the front range yet they have automated blinds that go down each afternoon taking away those gorgeous views. Why don't Aurora Southeast Rec Center want us to see pretty things?

Next to the pool is an 18 hole golf course that hosted the 1961 PGA Open Invitational & inside is a clubhouse grill . The pool is open everyday from 12-6pm, the cost is as follows: ages 2-17 $5, 18-61 $7 & over 62 $5. Note, parking is shared with the golf course & can get very crowded. I've been to Meadow Hills Pool twice now, once on a Tuesday & another on a Sunday, both in the late afternoon. On Tuesday I counted nine people there & on Sunday even though every chair & table was occupied there was plenty of room in the pool. This pool is made for kids, it was warm, relatively shallow & they allowed small floating toys when I was there. The main pool has a gradual walk in (like the ocean) & cement seating along the sides of the pool. There were lots of lounge chairs, grass & shade trees. Friendly lifeguards & staff too. Once an hour they have an adult swim as well. Great place to cool off on a hot summer day!
