Chris was fantastic for my little girl's first haircut! My daughter wanted short shoulder length hair, and has always had very long hair. Sorry to have to report that Stacey's service has deteriorated particularly over the last 6 months. Have given up due to hair color that has just not been right and uneven cuts. Has failed to produce the same color I walked in with from the prior visit, leaving me to wait weeks for it to fade rather than having a return visit to fix it ASAP. Attempts to try new colors had similar results, such as blond that was brown or even gray. Seems she cannot predict what her products will do. There is nothing worse than having to look at a disaster every time you look in the mirror for several weeks after getting your hair done! Have always thought Stacey to be a very nice person so it seems she may have external issues that are impacting her performance. That she commented on other customers having problems should have been a red flag. Buyer beware! read more

Five stars, no question. I wish I could give more. Over the last two years, Stacey has been my guide on a Hair Journey. I've wandered through Orange, Red, and Pink hair with her, all of them beautiful and vivid. She used to cut my hair into awesome A-lines, but she's also helped me tame the wilds while I've been growing it out and make the process as painless as possible. In addition to the work she's done for me, she's put blonde streaks in my friend's hair, cut and colored my Grandmother's mop, and helped my mother color correct when she decided that she didn't want to be grey anymore and wound up looking a bit like a calico/ginger cat. (I can't even possibly begin to describe how much better mom looked after she went and let Stacey work her magic!) Basically, there's nobody else I'd trust to cut my hair or my family's hair these days. I found this amazing woman though Yelp, and I can only hope that my review helps someone else find her too. I promise you, Stacey is wonderful with cuts and is straight up magic with color - both unnatural brights (like me and Gran!) and natural browns and golden shades (like Mom, or at least as natural as that gets when you're her age. wink wink nudge nudge say no more)! Today Stacey did my hair again. She gave me a cut that I like and some fun color while also making it look professional for my relatively conservative job. In addition, she gave my 9 year old amazing color. Purples and pinks in a way that it won't look horrendous if/when my daughter decides to grow it out. I have been taking my kids to see Chris for about 10 years now, starting when the company was known as California Kids Cuts. She has an amazing ability to make the kids feel comfortable and loved. Her haircuts are always wonderful. I have even witnessed her with children that refuse to be still (how many 2 year olds can sit still for more than 3 seconds?) and they walk out looking great also. The girls always get to pick out a special braid and the boys get to choose from a variety of fun (wash out) colors. They are always excited to go visit Chris as they consider her a friend. My kids are now 12, 10 and 7 and we drive up from Rocklin. We also have recommended her to friends and now 3 more moms are bringing their children to her from this area. Really only a 20 minute drive, no worse than driving across town. We had to move to Southern CA for my husbands job for 8 months. I always scheduled my haircuts with my visits to family, that's how great she is! I had been going to someone else to get my hair cut and colored. I had been becoming more dissatisfied and was looking for someone new. When my hairdresser did a color job that left my hair orange (after two tries to get it out and then telling me that she "thought it looked nice"), I went to Chris to see if she could recommend someone else. She recommended Stacy, who not only fixed the color, but also fixed the chunky cut I had received (big chunk out of the back I had not been told about and had been hidden in the style). It took about 2 cuts to get everything back to normal, but I have been extremely satisfied with both the color and the cuts that Stacy has provided. Always exactly what I ask for. Stacy and Chris are not only experienced and professional, they are friendly and warm and fun. They genuinely care about their clients. The shop is amazingly clean, compared to most shops I've seen. It's bright, warm color scheme is very relaxing, and the Rock n Roll theme is fun. Bonus for me is that I can have my hair done at the same time that my kids are getting their hair done! No need to make two trips or hire a babysitter while I get mine done! Love it! read more

Stacey (the owner) is amazing! I had dyed my hair a pretty bright shade of Auburn and decided I wanted it more back to my normal brown color with some highlights. Stacey did a GREAT job without making my hair too dark to cover up the red. She also does updo's as well and is going to be doing my hair for my wedding day! This place is awesome in the inside. After a horrific incident with a friends stylist that lied and ended up dying my hair almost black and have bright red strips in my hair. She took the time to make sure to get me in asap and even gave me steps to dye the red streaks so I could get by before I saw her. She made me feel gorgeous and back to normal after she fixed my hair! All the crap the other person put in my hair to make it heavy was gone and she colored the streaks to look much more natural than I ever could! She's such a lovely person and has a passion to make people feel beautiful when they're are feeling down. She even helped give me tips and products to try to get the copper tone back in my hair. I am a local photographer and worked with her on a shoot and saw what she could do. I decided to give it a chance and had her cut my hair. It was one of the best hair related decisions Ive made.
