We came here for a weekend matinee. This is certainly a more luxurious movie theater experience... move over, Regal and AMC! There's validated parking right next door. You must park in the garage (not in the outdoor lot or street parking). They had a machine to validate the parking ticket at the guest services counter, and we were covered for the full three hours. It was easy to find the theater. We took the escalators up and found the kiosks parked right outside the movie theater entrance. They had multiple kiosks in the hallway where you can buy your tickets and order food in advance. Once you enter the theater lobby, there's even more kiosks set-up. There was even extra lobby/lounge seating if you want to enjoy your food and drinks outside the theater. (Note: this is for the movie theater food, not your own - outside food and drinks are not allowed.) There's another bar dining area and additional theaters (9-14) on the upper level. Reclining leather seats have become the norm at most movie theaters. But LOOK raises the bar with heated seats AND buttons to adjust the headrest. We are living in the future here! But wait, there's more. They have swinging trays attached for a "movie-dinner" experience and QR codes on said seat trays to scan and have the food delivered right to your seat! You can also order at the concessions stand, but it's just not as fun (though there is an 18% service fee tacked on... call it a built-in gratuity for the door-to-door service). Brunch items are served before 2pm. They also have alcoholic beverages for that adult dining experience. We ordered popcorn and a soda and one of their brunch items - Chicken and Pancakes! The popcorn and soda were brought directly to the seats within five minutes. The chicken and pancakes came about 30 minutes later, while the movie had already started. We actually thought they had forgotten about the chicken and pancakes because there was no acknowledgment of the order being worked on when the popcorn was delivered. Several other people received their food items throughout the movie (the staff have little flashlights and will make their way to you). It can be a little distracting, but it winds down as most people will be watching the movie instead of ordering more food on their phone. People ordered pizzas, bowls, chicken tenders, burgers, etc. Instead of the movie theater smelling like popcorn, it smells like a restaurant (primarily of hot fried foods). This can make you hungry during the movie and might make you want to order more food. I was tempted to order fries during the movie, but I opted to keep my phone away and enjoy the movie. At the end of the movie, four giant trash cans were near the exits and they were overflowing. Good for the theater for making all those concession sales, and good for the audience for cleaning up after themselves. We sat in Row D and I did find the sound to be a smidge too loud. Some scenes in the movie were a little pixelated. I'm not sure if that's due to me sitting in the fourth row (too close to the screen) or if that's more on the movie studio. Restrooms were okay... generally clean, which I would hope since we were one of the first screenings of the day. I will note that the sink water pressure wasn't great and some of the sinks didn't seem to work. But overall, this is a nice movie theater experience if you're looking to indulge, kick back, relax, and enjoy the show. read more

Ordering popcorn, drinks, and other food is easy thanks to their food delivery service via QR code. Note: One glass of wine is about $18, but the pour is extra, EXTRA, extra generous. Good cinema experience, this cinema is in the Tyson Mall at the Tyson Corner and is quite swanky. Has several auditoriums, all with reclining seats; have the facility of ordering from within the cinema hall (a server takes food and beverage orders before the movie begins). Lots of variety of dining, lots of sitting place to hang around pre-post the movie. Also has Tuesday deals on movie tickets. Would recommend to try the place. read more

Came to watch a movie during dinner hour so tried the chicken quesadilla. I wasn't able to use my regular cell service to scan the qr code so resorted to using the theatre wi-fi. I still could not get the page to load so had to ask my partner to place my order for me on his phone. I got the chicken quesadilla with regular crinkle fries. The chicken was too dry. The dish also did not come with the standard sour cream and guacamole that you would get almost everywhere else. I really had to rely on the small condiment size salsa to defuse some of the dryness in the chicken. The fries were great. They were not soggy and had a good crispness. I did not like that the meal was placed in disposable containers. I also did not like that the mandatory living wage service fee attached to my meal. Of course I believe workers should get a living wage but that is the responsibility of the company. read more

bartender is very rude. I ordered mango lemonade on computer then with printed ticket went to retrieve it at food drink station. I was told that I had to go to bar to get it. bartender was rude right away : as I was starting to hand over my little printed ticket he said I can't do anything with that , not even trying to receive it from me and rudely said in a rude voice What do you want? I answered may I please have the mango limonade , (which was printed on ticket) And he thought a little and said rudely as if I was bothering him. I can't do it , see guest service station. I went there but no one was at guest service station so I asked an employee standing not too far if I could just have something to drink . This employee was very nice and gave me 2 bottles of water. Went here for the first time for a 6:30pm movie on a Thursday night. It looked like they had a massive event going on at the same time, but our theater was pretty empty. The movie watching experience was great, no complaints there. Audio worked well, seats were pretty comfortable, etc. However, since this place is a dine-in theater, I have to compare it to Alamo Drafthouse. The "dine-in" part of the experience left a lot to be desired. Ordering was done on your phone, which was a little clunky but worked ok. In comparison to Alamo, I was really unimpressed with the menu. Nothing really appealed to me so I just ordered popcorn and a lemonade and figured I'd have dinner at home. Lemonade came slower than expected but in a still reasonable time. I had ordered right at the start of the movie, and my popcorn showed up about halfway through. It was cold. My friends' food was also cold and took a long time to arrive. I wouldn't eat here again, but could see a movie here. My preference is 100% still Alamo! read more

Manager was indifferent that food was slow, i was missing my movie, etc. When I looked in the kitchen it looked dirty, kitchen workers had no hair covers, workers were sweaty... just not a good look... Burger and fries were just ok.... look adds an 18% " living wage service fee" on every order... along w tax that adds 25_30% to the food charge....... I'll pass.... My expectations were a little higher than regular theaters because of the price and reclining seats. However, a lot of the seats were dirty/sticky. The cookies here were pretty good, warm and soft. The milkshake was smooth and delicious with lots of oreos, easy to drink. Maybe my service was decent because the theater was almost empty. However, I do not like how the servers keep coming around during the movie (at least 5 times) after I finished eating. They really want you to order more than just snacks or desserts. I also wonder if the servers get paid hourly here, since they only come to drop your food off. read more

It's a nice facility, food wasn't too bad. We were first timers there and it was really confusing as for what to do if we needed to check in or not. There's a lot of staff lingering around if you do need them but everything was pretty much self serve! Unfortunately, the movie we purchased tickets to see the theater forgot about the movie and it was never set up to be shown on screen. Movie theatre and seats are great but after watching Gladiator II for 2.5 hours, our food NEVER arrived. We ordered when we arrived and the system told us the food would be delivered to our seats. After 30 mins into the movie, my date left the movie to go check on our orders only to be told that "if your food doesn't come, you can get a refund after the movie." Wait, WHAT? Went here recently with a movie and the service was terrible. 1. Everything was very disorganized, many people didn't know how to get food, or where to get it. The staff there did not seem able to help anyone. It seemed there were about 3 different systems to order food. You couldn't order real food on the concessions kiosk, and you couldn't just go to to the counter to order food like in other theaters. You had to order real food from your seats, butt when we got to our seats, we couldn't see a food menu, but had to call a server (which we did, but they never came). Only after the movie was over, did someone tell us we could order food from staff. We asked this before the movie, and were told we had to order from our seats. 2. Staff seemed disinterested and lacked training. I had a question about food, as the QR code wasn't working. I went up to an associate to ask for help. At first they tried walking away from me, but I flagged them down. I know they saw me, since we looked at each other right in the eyes. They said "Just scan the QR code." When I informed them I did and it still wasn't working, I just got a blank stare in return. Luckily another person answered. They told us the kitchen was closed, and they weren't serving food anymore, which was incorrect. So we didn't get food until after the movie 3. I wasn't the only one with issues. After the movie, I ran into several customers who were very confused about the whole process of getting food, and lots of people had problems getting food and drink. 4. The food wasn't good either. Not that I expect a gourmet meal, but I expected edible food, as that seems to be known for. On a positive note, the actual theater was pretty nice. Comfortable seats, better than AMC/Regal. The screen was very clear. Overall, it seems the staff were very poorly trained, didn't want to help customers, and seemed very overwhelmed. This was not a pleasant experience for myself, or the people I was with. I doubt I'd ever come back to this theater. read more

Just validate your ticket inside the theater and you're golden. Free parking always feels like a tiny win in Northern Virginia. Bar Area We arrived around 12:30 PM on a Sunday, and the bar was already poppin'. I waited patiently like a well-trained Labrador retriever hoping for snacks. When I finally got the bartender's attention, I wanted a cocktail from the menu that they didn't have the ingredients for. So then I ordered a margarita. What I got was a sad, boozy lemonade impersonator. They were "out" of ingredients--translation: no one seemed to know how to make a real drink. I tried ordering the Thai coconut shrimp to kill time, but after another round of bartender hide-and-seek, he said they were out. Plot twist: they weren't. Once inside the theater, I ordered the same shrimp on the app and--surprise!--it magically appeared. So either the bartender forgot to put in the order or decided honesty was optional that day. Food & In-Theater Service The shrimp was great! Hot, crunchy, delicious. Ordered the deluxe nachos with guac. When they arrived, the server kindly told me they were out of guac. Great. Just nachos now. The nachos were fine--nothing to write home about unless you're writing a letter titled "Mediocrity in Cheese Form." The quesadillas were also meh--more like a lightly toasted tortilla with stage-fright cheese. On the bright side, ordering food from your seat is still pretty awesome. And the theater servers? A+ humans. Friendly, fast, and probably dealing with way more nonsense than we'll ever know. The Theater Experience This is where LOOK redeems itself. The seats are massive, cushy, and recline like your dad's old recliner that no one was allowed to touch during football season. You get a rotating tray for your food, and there's enough space that no kid can karate kick the back of your seat. The sound system? Chef's kiss. Explosions, whispers, epic scores--it's all crystal clear. Final Verdict: Come for the luxury seating and top-notch movie vibes. Skip the bar unless you're craving weak drinks and broken promises. The food is hit-or-miss, but the convenience and cozy theater setup make up for it. read more

90% of the women's toilets were clogged (and there were at least 12 stalls). I came at 7 pm (clogged) and then went to the bathroom after the movie at 10 pm (all still clogged). I tried to tell an employee as an FYI and saw him do nothing or tell anyone for 10 min. Also, not the fault of the movie theatre itself (I think), but this parking garage is ridiculous. The machine doesn't work so every single car gets stuck for 3-5 minutes trying to figure it out, causing a major backup in the garage. It's a nice theatre (besides the service and the bathrooms) so I think they could do better. read more

We had a corporate event here. We brought the movie and the cupcakes. These guys provided the theater and the food. I ordered a Coke and chicken fingers. The movie started and a guy walks by and practically drops a Diet Coke in my lap (thank god I was paying attention). 30 minutes later I look around and notice that everyone else is finished with dinner and I hadn't even received mine.... Chicken Fingers guys. Fry them, put em on a plate and deliver them! Almost no work involved. read more

We got dirty seats, ordered dinner and it never came. We asked wait staff several times. Nobody knew, nor did they seem to care. "I deliver what they hand me!" Was the common asnwer. Fire the management team now and bring in managers that actually walk around and monitor their staff and business. They did refund our dinner... and had the nerve to act like they did us a favor. To cut to the chase, you are much better off seeing a movie at either of the two theaters in Tyson's: either the CMX CineBistro at the Tyson's Galleria or the AMC at Tyson's Corner Center. The theater manager is a nice lady who means well and really does try to help put out fires. But to extend the metaphor, boy does their operation have a ton of fires to put out. Their calling card as a business is ostensibly to cater food to you during the movie through their app, and yet as most users have reviewed about this place already, everything about the experience is horrible. The app to place the orders is horrendous, the quality of the food and drinks was quite bad while being quite expensive, and the service was mediocre at best in 2 of the latest 3 viewings I attended here. To me, it shouldn't take 30 minutes to deliver a small cup of wine (that came in a plastic cup, by the way) and popcorn during a movie, especially if you're branding yourself as a "dine-in" speciality cinema. To top it off, the last movie I tried attending had to be cancelled, because the file they were supposed to use on the projector was corrupted and deemed unplayable. Of course they refunded our tickets, and I don't know how common this is, but in all the years I've attended movies, I've never had this be an issue before. The old company that was operating in this place just over a year ago, Showplace Icon, is definitely missed. I cannot see how this theater manages to operate for more than 1-2 years, given how subpar their business model seems to be compared to the other 2 major theaters just down the road. This is a terrible movie theater, what is going on here. First, prices are outrageous. For one fountain drink and one small icy it was $21.90. In what world does that make sense? Additionally, their found drink machine was out of tons of options they had available which nobody told me ahead of time so basically wasted money. Movie ticket price of course is high but so are any movie theaters probably why not ton of people are going. Movie seating was ok and comfortable. There were the usual suspects creating problems in the back by yelling at each other and trying to get into a fight during the movie. Bathrooms were disgusting. This is an embarrassment to anyone going to this place. Not sure how this place is staying open, but this place I would consider complete trash and not worth your money. There are two other theaters close by, look there instead. So disappointing. read more

After seeing a promotion for free movie tickets on Instagram, I was able to secure a ticket to see a movie on a Sunday. One caveat was that the coupon code did not work on their website, so I called in to redeem it and someone from guest services was able to help me. They have two types of theaters - a "regular" theater and an "upgraded PX" theater. I opted for the regular one and was able to pick up my tickets when I arrived for my movie. They have a public parking garage next to the theater and make sure to keep the parking ticket with you to validate it at the cinema. You go up the escalators and there are ample kiosks to pick up or buy a movie ticket. I went to guest services and was able to have a staff member to help me pick up my ticket. You can also use your ticket to order food at their kiosks ahead of time and they will bring it to your seat. I did have to pick up my drink from concessions but the burger and fries would be delivered to my seat. I also used the bathroom and it was very clean (unlike other theaters). It was easy to find my theater and the seating was clean and plush. The seats even have seat warmers. After a few trailers and about 20 minutes, I received my food and the staff gave my hand wipes and utensils alongside my burger. The theater also has international movies and past movies they will play which is unique. The burger and fries were tasty and it felt like I had the whole theater to myself. I'd recommend this theater if you're tired of the bigger chains and looking for a nice and clean theater to watch a movie. read more

I really wanted to rate this higher bc my first couple of visits were great BUT lately the service has been awful and the food very mediocre, even for a theater. The last two visits my orders weren't delivered. The first occasion about an hour after I ordered I went to the front to ask about it. The manager's response was that the ticket fell behind the stove and so they just decided to forget about it. They ended up bringing the order later no apology or comp. The next visit I ordered food and a beverage. The food came out and again an hour after ordering I had to go to the front and ask about my order. They ended up making it and again no apology. The fact that twice I've had to leave the theater, missing part of the movie to retrieve an order I should've gotten is very frustrating. Again, I wish I could've given it more bc it's a good theater, convenient and the price isn't too bad. read more

Second time coming to LOOK in Tyson's and it was a second poor experience. LOOK really ruined this theater. Everything was amazing when it was ICON. Theater and space looks the same but the customer experience is horrendous. The first time I came, my food came an hour late. Bathrooms were atrocious and there was no toilet paper in multiple women's bathroom stalls. I had to tell random workers about it. This second time was my last time coming. They don't even check for your ticket proof. We came almost an hour early and ordered our food around 9:30 pm. Our movie Thunderbolts started at 10:10 PM. The entire movie we waited for our food and it never came. Towards the end of the movie I literally got up to check on the food WHILE missing the movie. My boyfriend had ordered our food so he had the receipt. The manager told me that he couldn't guarantee he'd be available by the time the movie ended to provide us with a refund for our food orders. He gave me two rain check tickets but then promised to set an alarm on his phone for 12:30 AM so that he could give us a refund. Once the movie ended we went to him for the refund of food and tickets. He couldn't give my boyfriend a refund for the tickets ($44) because they were purchased on Fandango, but he proceeded to refund the food orders. The bathrooms were still atrocious this time around. At least there was toilet paper, but the bathrooms are a mess and looks like no one cleans up at all. Paper all over the floors. Napkins and toilet paper. Shout out to the amazing bartender we had, Fini, she made sure we had drinks before and during the movie. I'm super disappointed because when the theater was owned by ICON, we never had a problem with getting our food quick in the movie theater and the bathrooms were always good. So sad that I can't come here for a great experience anymore. read more

This was my first time and I actually liked the atmosphere! Very clean and the bathrooms were posh. Wanting your hands and drying them at the same sink was so dope to me! Menu for regular food was with the QR code on your table, this informs them where you are sitting so don't just scan any code lol I had a shrimp salad and my boyfriend had burgers and fries. Prices were okay, of course it's not going to be cheap. Food came out in 15 mins but the bottled angry orchard took 30 mins. We had to ask two servers for the drink.. which sucked! We enjoyed the food. Wish they had another option for water other than Disani for $4.00. They do validate your parking though as long as you park inside. Parking in the small lot outside is an app or site that you have to use. Give yourself time if you have discounted tickets, we were not able to book our seats online. So we had to go in and pick our seats before the show. No pictures of the food since it was dark. I think regular concession food had to be picked up before you go to your seat. Most of the staff has remained, and the theater itself has not changed significantly. We have taken advantage of the $99 annual movie package, which offers exceptional value. By attending just five movies at regular prices, we have already recouped our investment. This review pertains to Look Cinemas at the Boro location. PROS: *The seats are designed to recline and can be adjusted for optimal comfort. They are equipped with heating features, although their functionality can be inconsistent. My husband often finds himself dozing off within fifteen minutes due to their comfort. *The theater is well-maintained and newly constructed. *The $99 annual fee for unlimited movies (one per day) is an outstanding bargain! CONS: *The theater employs a significant number of younger teenagers and adults. The quality of service can vary, as many staff members do not seem particularly enthusiastic about their roles. Customer service is often lacking, and some employees appear irritated when approached with questions. *The enforcement of rules is inconsistent. On one occasion, sharing trays, bags, or any items was prohibited. When we inquired with an employee at the counter, he merely shrugged and walked away. Our interaction with the manager was similarly unhelpful; he questioned why we could not simply pass a bucket around. I explained that we had two buckets for five people, and passing them around would not be enjoyable. He rolled his eyes and seemed annoyed but eventually instructed the young man at the counter to provide us with an empty bucket. I expressed my gratitude, but he dismissed me and walked away. *There is a lack of quality control. The consistency of the offerings seems to depend on the individual employee's discretion. One day, the popcorn may be excessively salty, while the next, it is tasteless and reminiscent of cardboard. For many, popcorn is a crucial component of the movie experience, and it is essential that it is prepared correctly. I would hesitate to visit a theater if I knew the popcorn was subpar, and conversely, I would choose a specific theater based on the quality of its popcorn. *They switched up the food and menu so now you can only order from your seat. The staff brings your food to you, and there's no option to pick it up at the counter. Unfortunately, this delivery service comes with a mandatory tip of at least 18%. The food quality has really gone downhill. We're done eating here. The meals are super basic and just not great anymore. For example, the hamburgers only come with a patty and cheese--no lettuce, tomatoes, onions, or any kind of garnish. They're dry and not appealing at all. It's such a disappointment! We used to love the truffle fries, but they changed the recipe, and with that ridiculous mandatory tip, we won't be ordering from here again. I really hope management steps up and makes some positive changes. They should focus on serving tasty food, making tips optional, and allowing counter pickups. Quality control is essential. Staff shouldn't be able to prepare food, popcorn, or anything else based on their whims. Consistency is crucial. Get rid of the mandatory tip. This isn't a full-service restaurant. These kids are just dropping off food in a bag and leaving. There's no refills, service, or assistance beyond that. This doesn't warrant an 18% tip at all. It's just ridiculous. read more

This is a nice theater, close and comparable to the AMC in Tysons Corner. I prefer the seats at Look Cinemas though and the heat function is very nice. Look Cinemas has big screens and a nice sound system. There is free parking for 2 hours in the garage below and validated (free) parking for more than 2 hours. They start the movie about 15 minutes in. The popcorn is average. They have a really good sign up deal for only $99 for a whole year's worth of movies (up to 1 per day). A lot more affordable than movie passes from other theaters! read more

Our family went to see Wicked tonight and I wanted to mention how great an experience we had. The movie theater was so clean and nice. The seats were so comfy. But the highlight of all was an employee there named Ella. She was so accommodating and personal. Helped me with a popcorn for my family when I had a question and just overall super pleasant. In fact, my husband went out during the movie and came back and mentioned he had met the nicest employee named Ella! Goes to show how she makes customers and people feel. Wanted to order a milk shake. They didn't have them, even though it was on the menu. I ordered a coke from the server in the theater paid for it with my credit card, but it was never delivered. I went to guest services after the movie and received a refund. Others in the same movie were in line at guest services because they did not receive the food they ordered. First time here overall. I didn't manage to come when it was still Icon so I don't know how it compares to its predecessor at the same location. I can compare it to the local CMX (Galleria) and AMC (Tysons Center), or even Alamo in Crystal City. This location has kiosks on the 2nd floor (escalator accessible, not sure about elevators?) where there is a sit down restaurant, bar, and concession stand. The movie we were seeing was on the 3rd floor where the concession stand is closed. We had some confusion on when/how to order food. It does apparently have to be ordered in-person (waiting in-line) or online. Hot food can be delivered to your seat (one order at a time, mind you), but concession orders (aka your popcorn, drinks, hot dogs, candy, etc) cannot. You have to pick those up at the 2nd floor. You also have to pickup your alcoholic beverages at the bar and take to your seat. What this means is that it's actually pretty challenging to get a full meal from your seat. You really have to pre-order and take everything you need before you sit down. Just FYI. The theater was great. Not as large as AMC, but really good surround sound quality, pretty large for a dine-in theater, and comfy reclining seats. The seats don't recline all the way, but can be adjusted. Also, they have heat, which is nice when it's cold. I did take issue with the limited air ventilation, which you can definitely smell when you enter the upstairs (like a sweaty gym), which makes me wonder if they wipe down their leather seats...? I hope so. It also meant whatever food people ordered could be smelled down the row, which isn't always ideal if you're not eating too. The food was good though and reasonably priced for the area. They have less-fancy foods than CMX, more similar to AMC offerings with loaded fries, poke bowls, pizza, pretzels, etc. Overall the location is convenient so i probably will be back, but maybe with children for their cute $10 kids concession sets (with kinder eggs!) rather than a dine-in experience with alcohol. read more

The Good: nice, clean heated seats that recline. Clean theater overall, with nice bathrooms. The Bad: the menu ordering process and the quality have gone seriously downhill since Look replaced Icon. All of the more interesting options are gone, and many of the very basic items that are left are frequently unavailable. I had a ridiculously overpriced cheese pizza today that was nauseatingly cheesy, and the subpar chocolate chip cookies. On top of that, the ordering process is ludicrous - order drinks from the kiosk, and order food at your seat, with a mandatory 18% tip, since clearly the theater isn't paying its employees a fair wage. Don't think for a minute that you can order your water along with your food - they'll just send you down to the counter to pick up your drink even if your movie has already started. Aren't theaters supposed to make you want to come back? We'll be trying out Cinemark Bistro at the Galleria for our next movie. read more
