It was my first time getting a Russian manicure. I had issues with their online booking, I booked the wrong location and it wouldn't let me cancel! I was afraid I would get charged a fee...the place was nice high ceilings, clean and big. I noticed no one working made any small talk with the customers. I had Laura, she didn't talk at all so I decided to make small talk, she was nice told me how she took classes at her home town then came to SF and took more classes and got licensed here. She was very precise and did a perfect job with my nails. I was honestly a little scared of getting cut after seeing some photos of other people's injuries on Yelp. Also having to sign a consent form before getting a manicure done made me nervous. But Laura didn't cut me! It was also interesting they have you go to the bathroom to wash your hands after they finish cleaning your cuticles. At other places you would soak your hands in a bowl to clean it. They offer a free drink, which is nice, but I wish my sparkling water was cold and not warm. It was $100 and tip. read more

I got my lashes and nails done here. I was pretty happy with both services. The receptionist is really nice. The place is clean and I liked the music playlists they had playing both times I was there. Pearl did my nails. She's really sweet and helped me come up with a look I really liked. I wish a hand massage came with the manicure though. My lashes turned out nicely as well. My only complaint is that there were a couple random stretches of time where I was left waiting with no explanation. They switched my nail tech suddenly with no explanation as well but Pearl did a good job. read more

** To clarify, this review is more of a 3.5 ** The ambiance is clean and modern. I observed they offered clients beverages which nowadays nail shops typically do, so that's a nice touch. I visited this location to receive the pedicure service. I scheduled my service with a Top Tech -- which originally I was a bit confused by this concept but everyone must start somewhere so I appreciate the idea of them offering training and room for growth for their techs. However, for the price point I do expect my service to meet my expectations (clean, quality, long lasting, precise). The pedicure was decent. I always give kudos for techs not hurting me / cutting excessively. No pain! The reason for the 3.5 rating is that the French itself was crooked and inconsistent (on nearly every nail). Despite feedback the tech couldn't quite get it right, which was unfortunate being that I booked a top tech. The pedicure itself showed signs of lifting around the base around 1.5 weeks after the pedicure. In the past all of my Russian pedicures have been long lasting and do not budge. I actually went into this establishment with my previous Russian pedi that had exceeded 4.5 weeks and was still immaculate, although very grown out. "Luxury" treatments are cute and all but quality is my priority. I would consider revisiting the Look at Me businesses as there isn't a variety of genuine Russian mani/pedi services in the area, maybe it was just an off day for the tech read more

Today I came in for a brow wax and tweeze. I was able to come in for a walk in and got lucky to be seen right away. I got checked in right away and received my service right away. Nura is who I got my service done and she did a very thorough job with the process. She took the time to map my brow before the wax. Especially taking the time to tweeze any small hairs. The over all experience was really well and the salon was very clean. I enjoyed my service so much and will be coming back to Nura! read more

The space is really nice and the staff is super friendly but i had a bad nail experience. I got my first Russian manicure here and i felt the tech was rushing the entire time (i was there for less than an hour) and i had 3 different cuts on 3 nails (painful). My nails were also sore for about 24 hours after getting them done due to the excess drilling. The manicure lasted a long time but it was getting grown out so i went in today for a gel removal. The tech only used a drill to remove them, removing layers of my actual nail. My nails are now extremely thin and bending backwards. It's extremely painful and very annoying considering the price :/ read more

From the moment my cousin and I walked in, we were greeted warmly. We were even running late to our appointment and they still accommodated us with so much kindness, offering tea and water while we got settled. I was really excited because it's nearby my job so it's very convenient and I was happy to have found a new place. I was willing to compromise on the fact that you're just sitting in a chair that's not very comfortable and don't get any of that luxurious massage chair, jet pool vibe, and exchange for the good artistry and friendly service. I went back to get another gel manicure here, three days ago. Immediately, after leaving, I noticed that the polish looked very warped, kind of cloudy with almost like a purpleish, bruised looking appearance swirled under several of the nails. I've been getting gel manicures since gel came out, and I've never seen anything like that. Also, that night I got a chip on one of my nails just out of nowhere, which has never happened. Anyway, they were really easy about getting me back in for a fix. When I got there, I assumed that I would pick a new polish color because obviously somethings off with this particular polish and they told me that that would be half price. I am on a budget and had just spent $60 after tip and did not want to pay another $25. I told them my concern that it was just going to happen again because it seems like something's weird with the polish and they kind of brushed me off and said it was fine. And then after "fixing" it - it's still warped and splotchy. Very disappointing. If they had been willing to change the color as I believe should have been done because clearly something is wrong with this bottle, they would've had a loyal customer, but instead, I will definitely take my business elsewhere.

I hadn't done gel-x before and she was patient while I chose the style and color. I got a cat eye French tip. It looks so good! Based on their menu prices it seems like I got charged a little more than it should have been..but everything seems to be dynamic pricing these days, so I let it go. I really wanted to find a new go-to nail salon and the reviews promised amazing things. I scheduled a dazzle dry Mani-pedi for 4:15 and started late at 4:30. Honestly, not an issue for me since it was after work on Friday. I know it gets busy, and the owner seemed friendly. I was really looking forward to a little pampering since I've been too busy to get my nails done lately. Everything felt so rushed though and I had to ask the nail tech to clean my manicure better. Now I really wish I checked my pedicure as well, because it is straight a mess. I want to be kind, but it's just so sloppy-- the polish isn't even, there's some on my pinky toe skin, and the second toe is looking insane. Check my photos for receipts. After I was left for my nails to dry, the nail tech had new clients and just didn't come back to check on me after 15 min lol. I've never left a salon without a quick service of lotion or just an inspection. I had to keep asking around until someone helped me out so I could leave for my dinner date. As this was happening, the owner was happily chatting with another client who seemed like a regular, and then was on her phone for a while. It was a really striking comparison to see how I wasn't given the same attention and respect as the other client. I still tipped because I know the service industry is hard, but I do feel taken advantage of now seeing my nails in the light.

I had to pivot from my original design but she was really skilled and I honestly let her have full reign of the new design, but they turned out beautiful. She put a ton of detail into making sure my nails were perfect to the very last minute. FYI a gel manicure with design and gems/pearls (self provided) was $65 pre tip, which is more than they list on the site. They prefer cash but venmo is also accepted. Very peaceful vibe inside, with a restroom and water provided. They don't rush you at all which is nice :)

They tend to switch off a ton and it's just kind of weird having to explain to many people what I want. 2. A refill for Gel-X has consistently been a 2.5+ hour long appointment. I think it's because of all of the switching off, there's so much repetitive filing. 3. I've never had a set of Gel-X last more than a few days without at least one falling off. I once left the salon and the thumb came clean off within 20 minutes and then I had to wait for almost 45 for them to glue it back on again. Another nail popped off within a day. I really wanted to like this place but can't come back, it's very inconsistent and honestly just a waste of money if I have to keep getting my nails redone before 2 weeks.
