Something like a three a four. I don't know why all the bad reviews but I thought they were pretty good so far as the Keys go. Was eyeing them for months before running out of things to do and give them a shot. Place looks cool from the road. They're usually pretty busy so it looks like people love to hate this place. I don't know, looks like lots of locals come here. Prices were very good. Old school happy hour. Friendly, helpful, bartender worth over tipping. Solid wings and onion rings. I mean, so much better than half a dozen places we've been to in the Keys. I just don't get it. Maybe when they're busy they suck. I don't know. Honestly, was very surprised. I was here for lunch a few days ago and it was good. I stopped in today for lunch and it was absolutely terrible! There were two guys sitting at the bar, I asked the server what time did they open for lunch. She stated they were open. I went back to my table and sat down. The server then yells across the room "You have to order here"! I had no problem ordering at the bar but I do t appreciate being yelled at informing me to do so. She could have, and should have walked away from the bar and come to the table and let me know. It was absolutely disrespectful and condescending. Came here for a quick snack and a drink after an afternoon dive next door. Onion rings hit the spot for me, and my friend said her Rum Punch had a good kick to it! MOST IMPORTANTLY: 5/5 service. Our server Shelby was bubbly and upbeat, and even though she was busy and running around, anything we asked for was delivered swiftly. When leaving the restaurant, I accidentally dropped my wallet. Went here on Jan 1, 2022 and it was okay. Lots of people drinking themselves to death at bar. Men's Bathroom had red vomit I assume it was from the night prior. We ordered 2 lbs of shrimp. Then we're told they don't have that. We got the Cuban and macaroni and cheese- good serving size, but not worth the money. If you want to drink to get drunk, this is your spot. Always known for a local hangout, however staying for a nights rest to get some business done, I was kept up by the loud ass music because the stage is so close to the rooms. There is no over night staff in the lobby so if you feel unsafe just call 911 because the emergency number only listens to your calls. People starting fights at the bar, rude bartenders ignoring you, bikers not letting you use the restroom (seriously, a guy stood in front of the men's room and said, "You're not going in") Last time there was a drunk woman in the parking lot screaming at people as they parked. Growing up in the keys I have spent my fair share of time at the looe key tiki bar... and have had wonderful memories. However, I am very disappointed that it doesn't seem to be local friendly anymore. Personally I think the 8 televisions that are wasted on music videos 24/7 need to be turned off or put on sports TVs so customers can all watch their sports games. I go regularly for football (mainly college) and I had watch one tv that wasn't working properly because the other tv's were playing other games and the bartenders are not allowed to utilize the 8 TV's in the middle of the restaurant for anything other than movie videos that no one pays attention too! read more

Came to the restaurant after a half day snorkeling trip. The Snorkeling Trip was amazing and deserves 5 stars. They take you out to a wildlife sanctuary at Looe Key (a submerged key and coral reef) which takes about a half hour. They stop for an hour at one location, then motor to a second location. Both stops the visibility was great with lots of underwater wildlife. We saw: Reef sharka Barracuda Huge Groupers Rays And tons of colorful fish They give you a free drink ticket to hit the bar/restaurant after. We happened to go on Wed with $0.50 wings. They had several flavors, but we went with Teriyaki, Garlic, and Hot wings. Very plump juicy and flavorful. We also tried some Oysters from the raw bar which were just OK. The Stone Crab Claws with their special Key Lime Mustard was very tasty, but I asked for some drawn butter too like the tourist I am. They obliged. It's a casual bar and grill filled with locals and typical bar food. Burgers, sandwiches, onion rings, etc. It's a casual place to go still in your bathing suit, with family, or with friends. Or you can even sit at the bar and have a drink with the locals who will entertain you with their wacky stories. Why did I knock off 2 stars? First, I think it's a bit overpriced. A mahi sandwich was about $15 (not too bad) but it was pretty dry. The fish dip was $10, which is very expensive for what it was. Small portion and just "okay".
