However one of my friends, who happened to live in the area, started telling me what not to expect here, which included a hip and trendy pub that serves craft beer. The thing was that they way he describe the place made it sound like a dump, so when we walked through the door we were quite surprised that it wasn't as bad as it sounded. It doesn't mean that it was good, it just wasn't as bad as it made it out to be. We ended up having lunch here, and as is typical when I'm in South Australia I decided to grab a Schnitzel (while my friend grabbed a bruscetta). Well, the schnitzel was nice, but the offerings in the salad bar were pretty sparse, but then again it was the early afternoon and we had got here just before the kitchen closed. However, he was right about one thing - they didn't serve craft beer.

Okay, it was a bit tacky in places, but they seemed to have given this place a complete make over and actually made it into a pub that I would have expected to come from one of those pubs near the beach. There is a pretty nice outdoor area, and they even had some craft beers available, which certainly means that it is going to give it a better score.

Like most of these pubs the beer selection is quite limited, but I also found that the atmosphere, well, the atmosphere is rather stale. Bathroom smelt odd and the fan was so loud and annoying I couldn't stand being in the bathroom for long and you could only turn the light on with the fan as well. The reception staff were friendly and made sure everything was perfect for the buffet breakfast. The breakfast was nice and there were nice seating areas inside and out. Didn't really like how we had to walk through the pokies to get breakfast. The bar closes at 1.30 and the bar staff were friendly.

Room smelt old, light switch hanging out, door handle broken, bathroom looked filthy.. and that was just our room The wedding venue also could do with a spruce up! The toilets were disgusting! And the cubicles are so short you can almost watch each other pee Food was actually alright :) But the wait staff is another story! We where given a broken jug and I returned it as it had open cut glass... only to have it returned to our table 2 more times! The female waitress was rude and took full glasses from our table and leaned over us to clean ect The bride and groom had an amazing night But I wouldn't recommend or use myself after last nights experience
