I ordered for take out twice in two days. The tomato and brisket noodle soup was a bit sweet but tasty. I like that noodles were chewy just about the right texture. The brown sugar sticky rice dessert was crunchy on the outside and soft inside, which was great. I came back to order more food the second morning when it just opened. The cashier wasn't there. The kitchen staff came to help me. They were friendly and apologetic and offered us water and extra food while we waited for our order. I liked popcorn chicken. The pan fried pork buns were juicy. Overall, the food and the experience were great. I'd come back to try more food.
A hidden gem in my neighborhood. A solid 4.5/5 It's tucked away inside a nice plaza that also has some great food options. Parking is plenty and there are no real issues finding a spot. The ambience is cozy and the servers are extremely friendly. When we entered, we were told to sit anywhere we wanted and the servers came right away to serve us a pitcher of water and some cups. After perusing the menu, our choices were: -Spicy Shrimp Wonton -Roast Duck -Braised Beef Noodle Soup I believe the wonton and the duck were the best dishes. The wonton had good flavor and the spicy oil that the wonton was sitting in was a great complement to the wonton itself. The duck was perfectly salted with the perfect texture with every bite. There was a good amount of meat on the bones with no effort to chew. Absolutely delicious. As for the beef noodle soup, I've been noticing that a lot of restaurants have been missing the mark with the noodles. It can be bland and the flavor of the broth (which is delicious btw) isn't "absorbed" into the noodles as it used to be. Otherwise, the beef has great taste and texture, while the broth is flavorful. The servers were attentive throughout the whole dining experience and were really accommodating to all the diners in the restaurants. I will definitely be back to try the other dishes, especially the XLBs. A+!
Stopped at Long's a little before closing and ordered the pork xiao long bao, Yangzhou fried rice, and pan fried pork buns. Loved the texture of the bao and buns! The fried rice was a great size, definitely going to order it next time I'm too lazy to cook (which is often). I want to go back to try the beef roll, minced pork rice, and beef roll! Service is friendly and attentive! Food came out quickly, plenty of seating in the restaurant and plenty of parking in the plaza.
A good spot for noodles on the border of Lake Forest and Irvine. The parking lot has a good amount of spaces that are shared with the plaza. The restaurant is indoor seating only. The menu isn't too extensive, but they have a QR code on the table that you can scan in order to see pictures of all of the menu items. The service is decent and quick. We went about an hour before closing on a Friday night and by then they had run out of xiao long bao. My favorite items that we tried were the braised beef brisket with tomato noodle soup and the glutinous rice cakes. The noodle soup had really good flavor and the noodles were cooked well. The glutinous rice cakes had a good level of sweetness that wasn't overwhelming and had a perfect crunch on the outside. Everything that we tried had really good flavor. The beef rolls had a very good crunch on the outside. The fried rice had a generous amount of shrimp in it. The pan fried pork buns do take a little bit longer than the other items, but they came out freshly cooked and piping hot. They were extremely juicy and had a good amount of meat in them. The potstickers and the steamed dumplings were not quite as good as everything else. There was a a smaller amount of filling compared to the skin for both.
We are back to the neighborhood Chinese noodle house for a quick lunch. They have implemented a new system since our last visit. Gone are the QR menu on the table and the iPad ordering at the table side. Everyone has to go to the counter to place their order and pay for it right away. Any tips for the server essentially is cash only and placed on the table. It is probably easier for the owner, not so much for the waiting staff. It is as busy as ever. We were lucky to be seated at the only open table available when we walked in. Several new items appeared on the updated menu, including the crispy duck noodles ($14.99) we ordered. Its beef roll ($11.99) and seaweed salad ($5.99) are tasty as ever. I wonder if I can add noodles to its wonton soup to make it into a meal. Until the next time...
A small Chinese restaurant with big portions for the price point. I came with my family, whom have been here before, and we got a table fairly quickly for 4 during lunch on a Sunday since it wasn't busy. We did family style and split multiple dishes: - Shrimp Fried Noodle: This was quite oily and lacked a bit of flavor to be honest. Shrimps were quite small. - Pork Wonton Soup: The soup was quite comforting, with veggies and wontons. Portion size is great for sharing amongst multiple people, with each person getting around 2-3 wontons each. - Xiao Long Bao: These came out HUGE and stuck together.. which ended up being a bad thing because it made it hard to pick up the soup dumpling without accidentally breaking the one next to it. As a result, almost half of our soup dumplings lost its soup before we even got it into our spoons. If you do get your hands on one without popping it, you do get a good amount of soup in it. - Spicy Shrimp Wontons: Not really that spicy (mainly chili oil). A bit bland in taste but fine once paired with dipping sauces like vinegar or soy sauce. - Shu Mai: Decent shumai and quite large for its size. Overall, I think the portions are great for the price and you're bound to leave full without paying too much. However, I think some of the execution on the dishes could've been better. Some of the dishes lacked flavor but they do have saucers to make your own dipping sauce with either soy sauce, vinegar, and/or chili oil.
Food: 4/5 We ordered a couple of dishes, the pan fried pork bun- was quite bread-y, the beef noodle soup was pipping hot and amazing, and the beef roll- was a little disappointing due to the size and flavors. Overall good, I would definitely recommend the beef noodle soup if I come back here again! Service: 5/5 waiters were attentive and quick with the food as soon as orders were placed. Ambiance: 4/5 Typically Chinese restaurant.
I don't write many reviews anymore--even as a former Yelp Elite--but this place genuinely left me confused about how it has more than 4 stars. I've eaten at countless dumpling and beef noodle soup restaurants, and this was honestly the worst experience I've had. I almost always finish my food, even when it's mediocre, because I don't like being wasteful. But this meal was on a different level. The beef noodle soup was completely bland, with chewy beef and a broth that tasted like hot water with something missing. The soup dumplings were just as disappointing--the broth inside had no flavor, and the wrapper was so overcooked that the meat tasted off. If you've ever had over-steamed dumplings, you'll know exactly what I mean. Even the popcorn chicken, which is usually a safe choice anywhere, was strange. It tasted like chicken that was meant to be used in a saucy dish--almost like orange chicken--rather than actual Taiwanese-style popcorn chicken. Service was also questionable. They had two servers, but both spent most of the time behind the counter. They were friendly when approached, but you definitely have to make an effort to get their attention. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I genuinely don't understand the high rating. This was a miss across the board.
Excellent food and service! Fresh delicious meal. Clean and bright restaurant. The food is delicious. This time we got free ice cream! Props to Long's!
What a gem! Long's noodle has the best xlb I've ever had. They're huge and juicy. The shrimp wontons are also another favorite dish of mine. They are packed and have a thin wrapper. The workers are helpful and nice.
Wow, how did it take me so long to try Long's Noodles? Fantastic XLB and fried pork buns. Fragrant and rich braised beef noodle soup. I am a fan. First review of 2025 and starting my year off right!
Delicious food and good friendly service. My friend and I were surprised found this restaurant after hiking. We ordered beef roll, tofu, veg, and famous juicy dumplings. Great flavor. The manager is friendly and asked us how the food tastes and if we are satisfied with the service. We are very happy to be here and this is our 2nd time dining here. Will come back again.
Reviews are largely positive. People highlight the flavorful noodle dishes, generous portions, and friendly and attentive staff. The space is also clean and relaxed.

Love their XLB! So juicy and flavorful!! Good size too! We also like their spicy shrimp wonton and pan fried pork buns. Their noodles dishes are ok... I have had better ones elsewhere. Big parking lot, lots of parking spaces. read more

Free parking lot, plenty of spots. Next to a pizza place. Stopped by here to get some Chinese noodles. There were only a few other tables occupied so we were seated right away for dinner. Many of the patrons were Chinese, which was great because they actually come here to eat so you know it should be good. The food comes timely except Xiao long bao can take a while. You'll be given a pitcher of water for the table. The cucumber salad was excellent, especially if you like raw garlic- there was a ton of it. The cucumbers themselves looked chewed up though, not sure if it's the way they mixed it that made the cucumbers look eaten. The beef rolls were ok. The onion pancakes were pretty good. The chicken noodles were extremely oily but very good. The pork and pork and shrimp XLB were good. There was beef XLB on the menu so we wanted to try it as well but they said they don't carry it, it's only listed on the menu. Service is ok- minimal, just get what you need. Overall glad we stopped by and good to know there's a spot in the local area. read more

Came here with family for dinner on a weekday. Restaurant is nice and open; tables not crowded together. The food was really good! The Xiao long baos are huge compared to other places and super juicy! The pan fried buns were also very juicy. The combination fried rice had good flavor and actually had bits of chewy pork skin in it in addition to shrimp. I was expecting chicken and shrimp but I don't think I saw any chicken. It was really good fried rice though. The beef roll looked really good but I didn't try it because it had cilantro in it as do all beef rolls, but my husband sad it was really good. My 4.5 year old loved the Xiao long baos and the fried rice. The spicy shrimp wonton were really big and stuffed full with shrimp and pork. They're not actually spicy though. The cucumber salad was nice and refreshing, but a little on the blander side. Everything was really good and all the dumplings and baos had very generous amounts of filling. The service was nice and attentive. The food does come out a bit slowly, but I think that's because of the longer cooking times for the huge dumplings. We will definitely become regulars here! read more
The Chinese food here is very good! They have xiao long bao (soup dumplings), shrimp shu mai, chow mein type of noodles, mushroom noodle soup, spicy beef soup, beef rolls, hot & sour intestine noodle soup, shrimp wonton soup, and more! The service is very kind & fast. The environment is a family friendly establishment with lots of seating and parking. Many options for everyone who likes different things. It was my first time trying beef rolls even though it's such a popular delicacy. If you really enjoy beef, then you'll like it - crispy exterior, sweet/savory sauce, lettuce, and beef. The noodles are soft and plentiful. The shrimp wonton soup is good. I would try the pan style/chow mein looking noodles next. The portions are big which is always a great thing! read more
I'm not sure if they're fully open or were having a soft opening but I quickly went there after my dentist appointment to get something to go. I asked if they had garlic noodles and they didn't understand what I meant. I just went with the combination fried rice. I sat at a table while I waited for the food and it was very awkward since there was no music and it looked like the staff was trying the food out? As for the fried rice it was a nice and generous portion and it tasted great! I had leftovers for like 2 days! I may go back and try their dumplings. Hopefully they will play some ambience music so it's not so quiet inside. read more
We got seated right away on a Friday night around 6:20pm. There were like 4 other tables at the time. We ordered the following: Braised Beef noodle soup Beef pancake Pan fried pork buns Spicy shrimp wontons Pork xiao long bao Sesame balls The braised beef noodle soup came out quick. Noodles had the perfect chew, beef was tender and broth was flavorful and felt like it was made with love. Beef pancake was tasty. Pan fried pork buns were delicious and juicy with hot piping soup on the inside. Spicy shrimp wonton was like a burst of flavor. The pork xlb was bigger that most dumpling places. It was yummy and filled with hot soup also. The sesame balls was a good ending to the meal. It was not overly sweet. Everything was good and service was decent but the food came out slow. I hope they can speed up the order as they get more situated. read more
We love this place! What a shame that we took so long to visit. Well 2 days in a row should make up for it. The rest of the reviews pretty much cover it so the only thing I would add is take home is a better deal for us. Since most everything is family style and some large portion sizes, it's better to take your time at home, spread everything out and enjoy. We've done so far... fried noodles , chicken and beef. Combo fried rice Combo chicken fried rice. Spicy wonton Shrimp shumai Beef pancake All were excellent! read more

New Chinese restaurant in Foothill Ranch, located at the Auto Center Plaza, replacing Flame Broiler. It's a noodle place, so the menu consists of noodle soup and dumplings, bao/bun ... we had the braised beef noodle soup, shrimp wonton soup and steamed pork bun. Very thing was tasty, we especially enjoyed the wonton and steamed pork bun. Six pieces run about $12-16, which is typical of the going price these days. If you like small bites, this would be a perfect place. Casual atmosphere, and service was good, when we ordered pan fried shrimp, we were told that it would take 20 minutes, beef noodle is medium spicy. Things like that help us better to decide what we want, everything is upfront so they don't fall short of expectations. Long noodles only been here for a month. So if you haven't try it yet, I strongly recommend. We will be back to try more of those dumplings and such. read more
Good Taiwanese food in Lake Forest? I've been calling that this area is going to be something of a hidden gem for great Asian food in the next few years and that we're gonna get an H Mart in a few years (H Mart corporate hit me up please come here), and Long's Noodle is a great addition to the burgeoning food scene. No longer do you need to drive over to Irvine for Taiwanese beef noodle soup as they make a fantastic hearty bowl here at a great price. Anything you're saving a dollar here and there elsewhere you'll pay in gas, so come support an up and coming local business. They also have a fantastic stinky tofu. Not just fried tofu that's slightly preserved, but real stinky stuff. Try it if you dare. I look forward to sampling some of the dumplings, though I do wish they came in a smaller size, otherwise I'll over order and overeat. TIP: Beef noodle soup is a classic, but they have a great variety of options. read more

4 stars for food. They do need to work on their table numbers and service as we were brought the wrong dishes a couple times, didn't get our food quickly because this was happening to other tables too. They really tried, but missed the mark on service. read more

Ordered what I considered to be staples of Taiwanese cuisine experience and was extremely satisfied with taste, texture, and portion. Everything was delicious and comparable to best I've had in Taipei. The xia long bao soup base was just right, with slight hint of ginger. Skin was not too thick or thin enough to break away. Beef noodle had endless amounts of beef...I really could not finish; recommend sharing this with someone if you plan to order other things. Service was very attentive and quick. Very clean and tidy. We were in/out in less than 30 min. Overall, I'd go back in a heartbeat. This place is a gem and I highly recommend it! read more

Woah! 5/5 for the dumplings! Other dishes too. Dumplings were filled with lots of soup and were very good. We waited 30 minutes to be seated. Party of 4 Friday 6pm. And food started coming about 10-12 minutes after ordering. Ordering via app. Good came out fresh and hot. Every dishes made with fresh ingredients cooked just right. We were pretty happy with everything. Staff were friendly. Just a busy place. Parking was a breeze. Casual vibe. Not trendy. Just good food! read more
I usually have a lot to say but I'm gonna leave this photo of the beef roll because to those who know how it's supposed to be, this picture is enough of an explanation. This was takeout so cannot comment on service or ambiance. If anyone's reading my review confused, this is my first time I've ever had a beef roll with lettuce in it. Go somewhere else although options are limited in this area. read more
By far the best Siu Mai I have, and this is from someone who took it to go. The pan fried buns were very juicy and savory. I would still prefer little pan but this definitely hit the spot for me. I also ordered Green onion pancakes and they were quite flaky and tasty. I only wished that I had tasted the dishes while they were being served hot. If you like shrimp, then I would say come here because again the Siu Mai was the best I've had. I ordered right before afternoon closing so I don't know if that has to do anything with the quickness of my order or how fast my food came. It is a bit pricier for the dishes but again worth the Siu Mai quality and flavor. What did I like about the Siu Mai you might wonder? Well it was full of shrimp and tasted fresh and the wrapper was spot on. Yes it's not pork and shrimp and the detail on that is not missed but the flavor was distinctive and yummy. I would say that some hot chili oil and soy elevates it also. read more

I'm all for small businesses and I want to see this place do great. The biggest let down was it didn't feel super clean. The sauce bottles had finger prints and dust on them. I hate a sticky sauce bottle. Maybe they were going to get to it, I don't know. It didn't feel like fresh prints though. Still, I hope the owners take care to wipe down everything because it makes me think - what else is not wiped down? The food is decent. I liked the spicy XLB a lot. The spicy wontons were okay - a tad bland. The staff was very nice. And ordering from the barcode menu was easy. I will come back for more XLB but I'm really hoping the sauce bottles will be nice and shiny the next time. read more

Idk what happened in the span of 8 months and now but the service is going downhill. We tried ordering the spicy pork xiao long bao, cucumber salad & spicy beef noodle. We got the noodles & cucumbers, finished the noodles and then proceeded to wait at least 15 minutes for the xiao long bao. My partner then had to ask where the food was and finally a server let us know they were "cooking [something] else so it'd be another 10 - 15m wait. Do you want to cancel the xiao long bao or wait?" We said we'd just cancel it. The server gave us the bill, we paid and they charged us for the wrong order that was $60 MORE than what we ordered. We went back they refunded us and then finally left. Just a sorry experience and disappointed with how slow service was. I get that they're getting popular but maybe they need to increase their staff and voice kitchen shortages prior to folks placing their order. read more
Really good food at Long noodles. Definitely better bang for your buck because the pieces are a lot bigger than your regular DTF. The store sits in a random shopping plaza but that is good because it's not crowded at all. I especially like the Xiao Long Bao. Ordered shrimp fried noodle, pancake, cucumbers, bean curd, sesame balls, beef rolls, 5x XLB. The shrimp and pork ones are amazing. We are full. Lol. And don't forget the bean curd phenomenal pictured below. read more

Friendly, fast service with a solid menu of various dumplings, noodles and other classic dishes. We tried the most recommended braised beef soup not realizing it'd be super spicy, so I cannot recommend it myself as I don't eat spicy, but I think I will try the non spicy version next time. The wonton soup was generously portioned and had high quality shrimp wontons. The beef roll is a winner for sure! Don't skip this dish. The cucumber salad was a bit too sour but still refreshing. The pan fried soup dumpling was a little too hard to eat but it was made very well. read more

Lunch time, not overly crowded, 30 min before I received my recommended but sad beef noodle dish. Given no reason for such a long wait & my own waitress never even made eye contact. The other waiter saw me waiting and looking at everyone else being served. Dish came, all noodles, no discernable beef, the tiniest pieces imaginable, few veggies. I pointed to the diner next to me who had the same dish, with beef & veggies I could actually see. The diner even pointed out my dish had nothing but noodles while his at least had some veggies. He also did not think there was much flavor. So I told the waiter who brought my dish that it was not acceptable. He asked if I still wanted it. Now it's 40 min into my lunch time. I requested & finally received a tiny bit more beef. I've never seen beef look like worms. Omg, no flavor whatsoever. Need to add lots of soy sauce, hot sauce & whatever else is available. Huge disappointment. I will bring it home to flavor & recook. Got 10% discount. read more

We ordered the chicken fried rice, beef noodles, spicy shrimp dumplings, regular dumplings and the pancake thing. Everything was soooo good! We brought our 3 kids ages 4, 7 and 9 and they loved it all. Quick service (they brought things out one at a time) and spacious table for us all. I would come back for sure. read more

We took a chance and tried this spot out, and I'm so glad we did! I no longer have to drive to Irvine to get my authentic Chinese food fix. They have a generous helping of beef noodle soup that my daughter enjoyed so much. You can control the heat of the broth- just let your server know. We also ordered the cucumber salad with lots of chopped up garlic pieces in it that I was very pleased with, the onion pancakes were good as well, and the shrimp shumai. Omg the shumai was freshly made and delicious! We also ordered sesame balls and those were fresh as well.. my daughter said those were the best ones she's had so far. The restaurant was clean and brightly lit with great outdoor light coming through. Our server was very friendly and came to check on us just the perfect amount of times. Overall the food was very tasty, the portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be coming back. I love that they're so close to us too. read more

A solid Asian food spot for dumplings and noodle soups. The broths were flavorful and good to drink. The pork buns were unique bc they cooked it crispy at the bottom. Service was quick and kind. Would recommend to visit if you're craving Chinese food and in the area. Inside there's plenty of seating and parking is part of a larger plaza. read more

Are the Shrimp XLB and Shrimp shumai shrimp only (i.e. no pork)?
Shrimp XLB has pork & shrimp. Not sure about shrimp shumai.
Are any of the dishes made with rice noodles/ gluten free, vs. egg/wheat noodles? If yes, which ones, or may any noodle dishes be subbed out? TIA
