Nearest 7-Eleven is in the Kurtistown and glad that I am not that kinda high maintenance woman and I am just okay with cheap bites from 7-Eleven. LoL. So we got there, ad we're greeted upon entering. Pretty decent convenient store and it's pretty clean. Got carbonara spaghetti and sliced cantaloupe fruit. Cold water to wash out my food down and some sweet treats to reward myself. And I am settled, ended my tummy so full at the end of the night and happily leave the store. Convenient store like this saved a lot of people from hunger like me. The encounters I've had with their cashiers have been okay - no issues. I suggest they improve customer service by opening up another cash register when you see more than 5 people in line. This would lessen the wait time, especially for those who need to get to work. So when there is only 1 cash register open and there are other workers just stocking shelves and doing other things it was a bit frustrating. I also suggest they improve their inventory. They always seem to run out of coffee stirrers, hot cup covers and hot cup sleeves. I recently noticed they have many hot coffee pots with flavor (coconut, hazelnut, macadamia nut, etc) rather than the plain dark, medium or blonde roasts (like they have at other locations). Not all coffee drinkers like flavored coffee. I would likely return in the future and recommend to others due to the convenient location.

The katsu was perfectly made. Lightly crusted, but most importantly, not soaking in oil. My wife's BBQ chicken was very flavorful. No overpowering saltiness. The rice was SPOT ON! Perfectly moist! Since then, several Minit stops have popped up all over the Big Island, and the Minit Stop I went to in Hilo (most recently), I must stay this convenience store was quite spacious, and beautiful. Located just across the street from the KTA Super Store along Puainako, you can easily find this Minit Stop. The Minit Stop convenience store has your standard stuffs like - drinks, fast food & snacks, toiletries and of course their FAMOUS Frrrrrrried Chicken! Stopped in for a 3 piece box, where you get a drumstick & two thighs. With the 3 piece box, you also get some giant deep fried potato wedges. What can say about da grub?
