100% convenience - a supermarket located in the PATH can't but be overpriced. They have a limited selection of fresh foods, but they do have quite a few packaged foods. It's like if you took a regular sized Longos and removed the fresh foods section. Their salad bar is fantastic. Amazing. Insanely overpriced, yes, but their selection is awesome. Probably has 6 different varieties of quinoa, avocado, and all sorts of grilled veggies. You pay by weight, and it's quite expensive compared to the other places - especially with a pretty good salad place across the hall. I like the fact that despite the crowds during the lunch crush, there's always a cashier that will get you in and out in no time. So I'm here at the salad bar pretty much 3 - 4 times a week. I'm completely addicted to the kale salad, with some chicken or a hardboiled egg thrown on top. Its not the cheapest thing on the path but damn its good. I occasionally also grab a piece of fruit or something. I can't imagine ever buying actual groceries there. I'd have to take out a 2nd mortgage. Besides the prices, my only other complaint is the consistency. Like no kale salad now for 2 days. And no eggs, no chicken, no tuna or avocado. Come on. My favorite to-go grocery place. It is simply because I work nearby and it is located inside the Path at First Canadian Place! It is much smaller comparing to other Longo's but it still gets almost everything I need like pre-packed meal, salad bar, hot food/soup bar, diary products, frozen food, fresh fruits, bakery, deli, flowers and plants, etc. etc. The cashiers are very efficient and mostly friendly at this location. There are always line-up during rush hour (mostly lunch hour), but it moves fast. I come here to pick up my lunch, my dinner, some light grocery, and even some pantry supplies for my office during my break from work. It just saves me a lot of time! No complain. read more

Wow. I went there to grab lunch. Bought three items. A panini, a brownie, and a lemonade. The lemonade was fine but the brownie was dry and old and the panini had a strange food all packed to one side with the meat on the other side and the top of the sandwich was not even there so I could not even eat it like a sandwich. A Longo's at work... brilliant. Longo's has always been my fav. grocery store so very pleased when a "mini" version opened in FCP. As as an FYI, there is also one in BCE place. This is what I like about this Longo's: - Fire oven Pizza made to order, very good. I tried veggie, chicken, potato and all dressed. All are great except the potato pizza. - Deli counter for fresh sandwiches. Turkey and Corned Beef are great and massive - A good place to get fruit. I can pick up enough for the week and keep in the office. Doesn't get all bruised in your bag on the way into work. I hate bruised banana's! - Excellent salad bar but watch out... you pay by weight, I had a few $20 "accidents" - They have a fresh cooked food area, also pay by weight. I get the salmon or chicken breast, veggies and some potato / rice - Good for office snacks - Covers breakfast, lunch and dinner needs. Great for people who work long hours. - Many more healthy or near healthy options vs. the typical downtown food courts. - They are fast. Even the Pizza is baked in a few minutes. Line's are long but move quickly since they have many cashiers. - I also pick up some items to bring home on occasion. I encourage everyone to give it a try and skip the standard food court options. It's the perfect location for me to pick up whatever I need, whether it's pantry staples for a dish I'm making for dinner, fresh fruit/veg, or lunch at their hot food bar. I'm a fan! I work in the financial district and I love to come to Longo's for their hot buffet bar! Wow, is it good. You have to get here early because it sells out fast. Sometimes they have good sales on also. I often buy bagged salads and fruit to take home with me. Good selection. read more

Went searching for a breakfast sandwich near First Canadian Place and noticed that Longo's had their hot food bar open this morning. They had an egg mixture quiche-ey thing with onions and peppers that looked great but actually was terrible (threw it out). I also got the ham&egg breakfast sandwich on an english muffin and it was dry and tasteless (finished it though since that was the point of my search). The 'good' part was that they had mushrooms and they were alright. Also in the hot area was french toast -- I'm not sure I'll try it next time.. I have been to other Longos for the salad bar and have been reasonably impressed (even for the EXORBITANT pricing) but I'm leery to try this one any time soon, or their breakfast bar ever again.. This is an excellent spot for lunch and for picking up a few emergency groceries if you're in a serious time crunch. Otherwise, the selection here for groceries is pretty limited and I'd head over to a real grocery store instead. Lunch highlights are the fresh-made pizzas (great value at $8, made when ordered, but there are only a few configurations available). Interestingly, this and the sandwiches might be the only non-overpriced options in the store. Wait time for this can be a little long at times though (~15 minutes during busy periods). The salad bar is also excellent with many options, but just be careful because the price adds up quickly. There's also a hot food table -- looks decent but I've never tried it. And a sandwich bar. But honestly, for both of these I think there are better options in the PATH. For a sandwich, it's hard to beat Fast Fresh. For a hot food table, I prefer the one at Olly Fresco's in RBC Plaza. Better value, more selection/variety. But of course, it all depends on where you're located and how far you are willing to walk. And Longo's is an excellent do-everything spot if you don't want to go too far. The store gets crazy cramped during lunch hours so expect long lines. The good news though is that they do process the lines fairly quickly. read more

Think McEwan is expensive?? Visit Longo's! The salad bar here is more expensive than McEwan which claims to have organic items. McEwan, in turn, is more expensive than Marcello's which has two locations nearby (the one to the East on the way to the Sheraton does not even have a line-up). Now the salad bar is good, but it is inconsistent. Sometimes there are mushrooms, sometimes not. Sometimes they have crab meat, sometimes they do not. Sometimes they have ... etc etc. Sample conversation last visit: Me: hello, do you have mushrooms today? She: behind the salad bar: no, of course not (laughs)! Me (this time to myself): well, I like mushrooms, you are the most expensive salad bar in Toronto and I am outta here... The sandwiches are also pretty bad here, although I admit I tried them once and only once. They also have consistently long lines at their cash, which are a turn off. Finally, Longo's is supposed to be a supermarket, but unless you are buying chips or Oasis juice or chocolate bars the description does not apply. This Longo's is a lunch take-out spot. read more

Now that I have been to Longo's a few more times I have decided to give it an additional star. In addition to the paninis, which are amazing. They also have pizza that is made to order. You get a whole pizza (I would call it a medium) for $7 and it's really good. As for groceries, the prices are quite reasonable, I would say on par with Loblaws. It's in an office building so it's not a full service grocer, but it's great for the kind of one off stuff you want to pick up on your way home. read more

Go to grocery store while at work. Their fruits are fresh and offer a good supply of organic items at reasonable prices. You forget your breakfast at home, no problem because you can pop in here and purchase a bagel for under $1.00 with peanut butter or jelly on the side. They have a variety of breakfast food items to choose from. Lunch time they have these amazing spinach and cheese pastries which are freshly baked in store! They have long lineups during lunch but all cashiers are working hard to ensure service is provided quickly. read more

This Longo's is close to my workplace, and I drop by every now and again for breakfast supplies, a quick soup for lunch, or to pick up a quick snack. They have an extensive salad bar and hot counter, although it's quite expensive and the costs certainly add up quickly. On that subject, the food at the salad bar is OK, but the meats in particular taste quite synthetic and over-processed. I can't escape the feeling that everything comes from a bag as opposed to being prepared in-store (which it should be, considering the price). There are other lunch options available such as soups (which are very good), pizzas (also good, cooked in a stone oven) and deli sandwiches (only OK). Longo's is a good spot to pick up a quick lunch or grab some groceries on the way home, but you will definitely pay for the privilege. read more

Dropped by Longos to check it out. It is closer to the lake and you have to go under the bridge so it is a little out of the way. The store is very new and super organized and bright inside. It reminded me of Whole Foods or Capers back in Vancouver. Lots of quality ingredients and fresh fruits & vegetables can be found here. They had huge hot foods section as well as a salad bar- apparently the place gets super busy during lunch time with everyone wanting to pick up a bite to eat. I've learned that they have small slices of cake. Price measured by how heavy it is. It's perfect to satisfy that sweet tooth craving. I normally can find a slice under $2.00 which is a pretty good deal considering longos cakes are pretty good. I've also discovered their soups aren't bad. There's enough choices, very hot, comes with crackers and the price is a lot more reasonable compared to soup nutsy. read more

I love Longos! Yes, a little pricey but they sell great quality products. This particular location is somewhat compact, but they carry the basics. For a more extensive selection of salad dressings, canned items or specialty items I would suggest going to a larger grocery store. They carry a wide selection of prepared "grab and go" food, their salads are fantastic and they also have a salad bar of sorts to create your own. They have a small selection of cheese and charcuterie, lots of bakery items (including fresh pastries/croissants in the morning) along with a variety of fresh fruits and veg. They have a small meat/fish selection but also carry organic meats like Beretta Farms and Yorkshire Valley. Lots of yogourt/dairy options. I have a love-hate relationship with Longo's. I love the mere fact that it exists. I love how it's five minutes from my office. Why oh why are there not more grocery stores in The Path? (or in downtown Toronto in general, for that matter?!) I love how I can pick up some staple milk, bread, pasta, organic pre-sliced carrots, spicy salmon kebabs, an entire roast chicken, sushi or a giant red velvet cake straight after work without having to trek around in the rush-hour heat in search of a decent grocery store. Kudos for convenience. I love how, as noted above, they have a huge range of stuff on offer here, despite the small size of the store. While I wouldn't choose this store as my go-to if I were hosting an exotic dinner party and required specialised ingredients, it has absolutely everything one needs for picking up necessities after work. As well as the regular grocery store stuff, this Longo's also offers an impressive salad bar, bakery and deli counter - the latter giving the option of made-to-order sandwiches and pizzas! Add pre-packed sandwiches and sushi to that list and Longo's will make you re-consider ever going anywhere else for lunch in The Path ever again! (well, maybe not, but the lunch options are impressive!) Staff are nice and the lines always move rapidly. The bad stuff? The aisles can be really cramped. This store seems to be designed for people in a rush who just want one or two items. Heaven forbid you actually require a basket and encounter another customer in the same aisle as you; you honestly may never find a way past them. Also, prices. Longo's is overpriced, said everyone, ever. I won't bore with excessive price comparisons, but it's safe to say that, in general, you will pay more here for general items than you would almost anywhere else. Not a big deal if you're just picking up some milk on the way home, but doing a 10-15 item shop, with most items 20-50 cents higher than in other grocery stores...yeah, it adds up. A lot. I paid $4.30 today for a 218ml jar of pesto. There was no cheaper alternative. Annoying! In conclusion - handy for lunch or for just picking up a few quick items, but I'll stick to Freshco or even the pricier Loblaws for my weekly shop. read more

I'm here pretty much everyday. Not because of the friendly service, NOT, but for convenience. Most of the cashiers are rude. The one today, Sophia was especially rude. She was talking to another cashier in her language and completely ignoring me. I asked for a bag twice, at which point I got it myself. Mind you, she was still talking to her friend. This place is a hidden gem in terms of grocery stores. It is huge and there is everything in here including a Starbucks and beer bar. Great for buying a few gifts and grabbing just about anything to satisfy your needs. No alcohol though. That would be upstairs in terms of take out. read more

"Pay by weight" hot food and salad bar has to be the best invention since sliced bread. It means I can have as much (or more accurately - as little) as I like and only pay for what I want. Food options are healthy, which is surprisingly hard to find in the downtown food courts, and theres heaps of variety. Love it! read more

I love this store especially the one in Markham. Everything is fresh, very clean, organized and beautifully displayed. The clerks are wonderful and pleasant. You have me as a client for life. I was there yesterday to pick up some groceries and some Lindt chocolates. Apparently, the chocolates were not priced correctly on the register, so I had to return to the store the 2nd time. Without checking the price on the display, they refunded me the money and gave them for free. Which grocery store you know will not make a fuss, refund your money and even give them to you. I can tell you T&T won't, Shoppers won't and Loblaws won't either. They will yell at you for not reading the fine prints. read more
