What a magical experience! Everything about this place is amazing. You can tell that the animals truly come first and are are well cared for. The entire team is extremely kind, patient and knowledgeable. We stayed in the Giraffe suite for 2 nights. All I can say is WOW! Our guide Kaci was so sweet as well. She was great with the kids and very accommodating. We are already planning our return.

Amazing experience! We didn't stay here but we came for a visit. It was great. Totally worth the drive from Austin. We got to meet and pet Justin, the Rhino. Then we got to feed 3 giraffes. These animals are so beautiful! If you go later in 2024, you will also get to meet a sloth. The guides were great about taking pictures, they will get all the angles! The facility is 2 years old and looks so comfy and cozy. We had a group of about 12 and the ages ranged from 80 to 4. Everyone had plenty of time to interact and take pictures. We learned a lot about the animals, where they came from and how this facility works with others to help with conservation.

Longneck Manor was a fun and interactive experience, especially feeding the giraffes and rhinoceroses! So glad we peeled ourselves from our group before the winery visits for this tour - totally worth the 90 minutes! The tour started on time and was very informative, giving us ample time to feed & interact with the animals. It is worth noting that it's about a 7-mile drive from downtown Fredericksburg, so plan accordingly but it's worth it for the chance to hang out with the animals and learn from the friendly, well-informed team. I do wish there was a restaurant or refreshments option available; it would have been nice to relax in the lobby area before or after our tour. Overall, a great experience!

My husband visited Longneck Manor when we were in the area a few weeks and had a great experience. What is it? Longneck Manor is a conservation agency that houses giraffes and rhinos just outside Fredericksburg. They are a luxury hotel/B&B (if you stay, you can wake up and see giraffes from your cabin). But they also offer conservation tours where their staff will teach you about the animals they care for. (I learned a lot about both rhinos are giraffes from our Noel and Chloe, the staff for our tour!) You can safely touch a rhino (Barney was the rhino for our tour) and feed the giraffes (from a short distance away on a platform, but directly onto their tongues). This was a really amazing experience, and it seemed as if the staff really cared about the safety and comfort of the animals as well as of their guests. I hope that people who visit Longneck Manor take the experience at Longneck Manor to learn about the dangers that face these animals in the wild and become inspired to help in a way possible for them. That's what the experience did for me. This is a really unique experience to have in Central Texas! And the money you spend at Longneck Manor goes to support these animals and conversation efforts worldwide. If you or anyone you know is interested in animals and might be inspired to help or support wildlife conservation by seeing a rhino or giraffe up close, I recommend Longneck Manor!

Great experience staying in giraffe suite. Private tours and feeding opportunities were outstanding. Staff very helpful and engaging, including Jess, our guide. Bruno the sloth was a no show for our visit, too tired. The giraffes, including ms Betty were outstanding. Close up feedings will have me appreciating romaine lettuce more. Well worth the price and I would highly recommend visiting. Barney, Fred and Justin the rhinos will appreciate your coming.

This place was/is phenomenal! Such a cool experience to be able to feed giraffes and touch a rhino in a small group. The staff is incredibly amazing. Each and every person we met with you could tell was informative and passionate about what they do. The owner is also incredibly nice pleasant to speak with and talk about his self and team's passion. Toast to the Towers is a great experience to participate in if you are staying on property! Overall, a fantastic stress free, decompression session of a vacation. Oh! And if you stay in the giraffe suite, there are super comfortable chairs to sit in and view the giraffes once they come in for the night.

Had such an UNFORGETTABLE stay here! This place was booked out over a year to get into but definitely WORTH THE WAIT and WORTH THE MONEY! Staying in the beautiful giraffe suite got us private tours throughout the day! From meeting all the caretakers I can tell they truly love all the animals and have a special bond with them! They are expanding and adding 4 villas on the property which I plan to stay in the near future! The only thing I would suggest is guest robes and slippers for the stay. :)

My friend Jackie had one wish when she came to visit Austin, and that was to see the giraffes! So we drove out to Fredericksburg and made it happen! It was such a spectacular experience! The groups are limited so you get a more intimate, specialized visit around the area. They only had the giraffes and rhinos at the time, but upon talking to the owner, I learned that he was planning to add more animals to the place. It was such a cool experience getting to touch a rhino and also feeding the giraffes! Seeing them walk out of their stables (?) to go outside was so majestic - all the way Lion King vibes! Go visit if you have the chance but make sure you reserve your spot online!

Wow! It was an experience of a lifetime. This conservation park allows you to get up close and personal with giraffes and rhinos. The amazing staff are so knowledgeable and love what they're doing. You can either have a day tour or stay in one of their stunning villas. A must visit for anyone in or near Fredricksburg in the Texas Hill County.

This place was just AMAZING. The workers here are so knowledgeable and you can tell how much they care for these animals. Usually I am not a fan of supporting places where the animals are "trapped" but this place was very educational and the animals are well taken care of. They even live longer here than in the wild so that's really awesome! The 2 girls working here (ahhh, i forgot their names) were awesome. They taught our group so much about rhinos and giraffes! The tour is an hour and a half and i was really just expecting a walk thru of some sort. Maybe getting to pet them or something but was def not expecting the amount of information we received during this tour!! Extremely interesting, my 10 year old loved it. It was small group, just 10 of us which was a great number. Not too crowded and everyone got a chance to be a part of everything without having to rush. The property is extremely clean, the office area, the restroom, the areas for the animals, the barn area, very very clean. It didnt even smell like animals! There are 3 giraffes and 3 rhinos here at Long Neck Manor. We got to pet Justin, the big rhino and boy was he a sweetie. I am a total rhino lover now. And you will not believe how soft his skin is!!!! No joke! His face skin is so soft, he guarantee has a great skin care routine haha!! His body area is rough but i was definitely surprised at how soft his face and the area by his legs were. We didnt get to pet the giraffes but we did get to feed them! After spending some time outside with the rhinos and the 2 giraffes, they took us inside the barn area to see the pregnant giraffe whose name is Betty White!! Yes! After the actress! So, Betty was due to give birth pretty much any day now and i was really hoping it would be in the next hour or so while we were there but it did not happen. But she was so cute! We got to go on the top floor so Betty didnt have to bend down like the other 2 giraffes to get their food so it was really cool to see how tall she was! Lots of opportunities to take photos with these incredible animals so you can have these pics to remember what a great time you had here! There is a gift shop inside the office where you can even buy paintings that the animals did. Booking this experience is super easy. Just go online and choose the day and time you want to go. There are 2 tours a day. If you are lucky enough, you can even book the giraffe suite to stay in!! They are pretty booked into 2024 but you can find a random day here and there if you keep checking. It is pricey but im certain that it will be a stay you will never forget!

We visited this business back in February and wow what a dopamine booster. We were able to meet and pet one of their Rhinos and feed 3 gorgeous giraffes, two females and one male. At the time we went they were thinking one of the females was pregnant. You can also rent a room here that has a view of the giraffe nighttime quarters and small doors you can use to feed the giraffes while staying in the room. However, when we visited it was booked through 2023. The tour alone is a joy to experience. Part of the proceeds go to preservation efforts. This is a great experience for anyone looking for a highly interactive animal encounter.

Just the most amazing experience. Feeding the giraffes and rhinos is such a once in a lifetime adventure. A must do. The staff is terrific and the experience so personal.

Set in beautiful Hill country, Longneck Manor is a perfect getaway. Staying in the luxurious Giraffe Suite and waking up to the three giraffe, Kifele, Betty and Tana was amazing. Stunning landscape provides the perfect backdrop and large pastures for the animals. The suite is well appointed with a full kitchen and beautifully decorated. Everything was available to make you feel cozy and right at home. The animal experience was up close and informative. This special experience is highly recommended!

First and foremost I appreciate the professionalism shown by Cadye with her prompt emails and answering all of my questions. She and Clint put together an awesome itinerary, our only ask was to tour Slate Theory. Everything else was suggested and curated by Cellar Rat. Second I appreciate Clint, for the whole experience the day of the tour. We paid for a private tour and it was just that. He sent a text the morning of the tour to let me know when he was set to arrive. He arrived 1 minute early in the SUV and greeted us when we came out. He had a cooler in the truck with ice and water. He is well versed in all things vino and super down-to-earth. We started the tour at Texas Wine Collective where they rolled out the red carpet. We were doing the tour on a Monday so we pretty much had the whole winery/tasting room to ourselves. Sandy at Texas Wine Collective was awesome, ask for her if you visit. While we did our tasting, Clint went to grab our lunch from Fresh Pickens. The food was AWESOME! It hit the spot definitely after all the wine and cheese Sandy gave us! After lunch, we took some photos around the property then hopped in the SUV and on to the next winery, Kuhlman Cellars. Where we were met by Malachi. Malachi served us a flight of 5 wines, 3 selected by Kuhlman and 2 selected by my wife and me. We took a couple of photos out near the vines then headed on to the last winery, Slate Theory. Slate Theory's tasting room is by far the best experience. Words can't explain it. By the time we got to Slate Theory we didn't really want to learn about the wine, we just wanted to drink; and that we did. We hung out there for about an hour before heading back to the Airbnb. Great day of drinking! Met some awesome people and got to enjoy my wife on our anniversary. Clint knew everybody by the way, definitely makes the difference when you visit because you feel like family at each location. The only thing I would change about the tour would be to add an actual tour of the facilities and vineyard to the experience. I'm a visual learner and it would be cool to tour the distillation area and barreling process while learning about the wines. All in all, I give Cellar Rat Tours 5 STARS "A+++". PS: Slate Theory charged us for the wine tasting and Clint stepped in and handled the situation and orchestrated the refund to our credit card. This guy does it all! He's our main man for real. Thank you, Clint and Cadye! Many blessings to you and your business!
