I first contacted Good Faith Energy to help with solar planning for an all-electric house build I was building in Dallas, TX. While the house was still in the pre-drywall phase, I wanted to make sure that anything that could be added in the construction phase to help with solar installation later was done. Good Faith Energy helped me out, and for a nominal fee, they designed an electrical plan and coordinated with the builder on what components would make installation easier in the future. My original plan was to build the house and live in the house for a year to figure out my electricity needs, and then design a solar system around my usage. However, after moving in in early 2025, I decided to proceed with solar installation given my fear that the solar tax credit would be going away soon. I explored several solar companies, but ultimately picked Good Faith Energy. They were familiar with the products I was interested in (REC solar panels, SPAN panels, and Tesla Powerwall 3). They are very involved with the community and post very insightful videos on YouTube. You can tell that their owner and all of the employees are passionate about what they sell and install, and truly care about selecting the right solar system for you. My sales associate with Sammy, who was happy to provide different quotes, and he offered me very good suggestions about things I hadn't thought of. Joe was the engineer that worked on the plans, and he was also incredibly helpful and patient with me. He understood my desire to maximize the number of panels on my roof space, and tried out different ways with the design to maximize solar production. Samantha and Amanda were excellent project managers, who kept me informed throughout the entire project. My install was a bit more complicated than a typical residential system. My house is all-electric, and I have a 320 amp service powering two 200 amp panels. As a result, I ultimately went with a 28.5 kW REC solar panel system powering two separate sets of Tesla Powerwall 3 (5 total). Special shoutout to our electrician Ronnie and the site manager Shane, along with the rest of the Good Faith Energy install team, who battled some of the hottest days this summer to install the project on time. Their attention to detail was impressive, and the result is a very clean install. I live in a conservation district in Dallas, and as a result, I needed approval from the conservation district as well as from the City of Dallas. It took several months to get a permit, but Good Faith Energy had experience with this and knew how to handle it. There was one minor rough patch. We scheduled a city inspection two weeks ahead of schedule, but Good Faith Energy wasn't there where the city inspector came, which generated an immediate red-tag. However, this was ironed out by the next week, and we received a green tag after just one inspection the following week. Since the install, I've had a couple minor issues with the system, but Good Faith Energy was quick to respond and resolve the issues. I have been left with a feeling that this company stands behind their project. In the end, for such a complex and expensive project, I have had an extremely positive experience working with Good Faith Energy, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a solar install in DFW.

Getting a full PV system that meets all of the household electrical needs is a big project and I had quotes done by 2 other companies prior to settling on Solartime for my project. They were the most communicative and allowed the most flexibility as well as experience when discussing the ins and outs of brands, solar limitations, and my electric needs. I interfaced heavily with Jason on the front end and he was able to field all of my tedious questions right up until we scheduled the install. Once we got all the paperwork, permitting, financing, and equipment selection out of the way installation was quite speedy and I was informed and involved each step along the way. Gregory was the team lead for the onsite installation and has a real passion for solar and a wealth of knowledge to field any questions. However, the crew left a poorly patched hole in our roof during the panel installation process. We spent 4 months and thousands of dollars trying to find a leak in the roof and fix a problem we swore had nothing to do with NTS. Finally, after many phone calls, they agreed to remove some panels for the 4th roofing company to check the roof. The hole in the roof was directly under one of the panels. The roof was repaired and we have no more water coming in. We do have bills for roof modification, chimney caps, spray foam insulation, drywall repair, painting and will need some kind of mold remediation in the attic. We called, sent pictures and email. No response, totally ghosted. I can recommend the system, but not the installation. Now I'm worried we won't have any help if we do need something. Very discouraging.

They were very communicative at the beginning and did the unmount just fine except for some unprofessionalism by their workers ( literally playing with garden rocks and slamming rocks together while waiting for panels to come down, like children ) and dropping one panel. Once they were paid for the first half they abandoned the job. Even after promising in email that they would remount the panels in 2-3 weeks after the new roof had settled. My contractor tried every couple days to get responses from them but they seemed to have blocked him without reason. It left us to have to find another contractor and pay extra due to liability. It left my panels off for about 2.5 months after the roof was replaced. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE VERY SHADY.

I love my solar hence 2 not 1 star, but from start to finish Elevation slowed the process by having…read moreno sense of urgency, poor communications within the company and thusly to customers. In order, I had to call them to get them to send me an invoice(8 days), get them to update town registration for permits(14 days), 10 days after permitting to pay for permit. Then after getting the permits an Elevation tech red flagged the project and the project just sat for 2 months. Turned out the concern was not warranted. Took 5 months from signing to installation ALL due to elevation, poor communications within and a general lack of candor or sense of urgency. One supervisor, weeks after me trying to figure out the cause of delays, flat out told me the delays were caused by the town which was simply untrue. 2 -3 month job turned into a 5 month install. On top of the bumbling as to installation they designed my system poorly for efficiency. They married 400 watt panels with 295 watt micro inverters. Meaning over 25% of my panels are wasted at full sun and and my 8kw system maxes out at 5.9kw. An easy fix, smaller panels or higher output micro inverters. I suggested this to elevation between signing and installation but they had no interest in fixing this issue. An issue that could have been fixed with a 30 dollar per micro inverter increase from the Iq7plus to Iq7A. They simply don't know on the sale side. Spoke to several people at elevation but impossible to get to anyone with a level of authority to fix. I'll likely upgrade the micro-inverters myself and sell the less capable ones on ebay. ONE MONTH AFTER INSTALLATION as it appears Elevation has no interest in keeping me the least bit satisfied.

Universal Solar (aka Universal Green Group) installed panels on our home in 2020. Fast forward several months and the inverter stopped working. Again it took Universal several months to resolve the problem. Move forward to 2025, after the hail storm that came through, Universal Solar has refused to respond to our requests for a detach and re-set. I have emailed them and attempted to file a claim with the Better Business Bureau, only to find that they are NOT listed with the BBB. I have begun the process of getting an attorney to force this issue in court.
