Long time members like myself are leaving the gym because it seems that they just want to sell as many memberships as possible to as many high school kids as possible. A really bad business model because at the end of the summer there won't be steady customers such as myself.

Completely Unprofessional and Misleading…read more I signed up for a 3-month training program at this gym under the impression that I'd receive consistent, professional coaching. What I actually got was a revolving door of trainers--two different ones in just a month and a half and on my way to a third one. Each time a new trainer came in, the program changed direction completely, making it impossible to build any momentum or see real results. I should have read the online reviews before signing up for their training, they are clearly scamming people out of their money. Despite showing up for every scheduled class, the instability of the program has made the experience frustrating and pointless. To make matters worse, now that it's clear the gym cannot deliver what was promised, they are refusing to terminate the contract. I'm being held to a commitment they clearly can't uphold themselves. The lack of accountability, professionalism, and respect for their clients' time and money is unacceptable. If you're considering this gym, think twice before locking yourself into any kind of contract. They're more interested in keeping your money than keeping their word.

If you haven't tried cycling, give this place a try. All the instructors are great. Shoes and towels are provided free of charge. There are changing rooms, showers and lockers to use. The first ride is always free, so come out and give them a try. You will get hooked. And since they share their studio with Pure Barre, there's another fitness option in the same location. Joining this team has been one of the best things that has happened to me in a while. I went from not working out for over 3 years to waking up every other day at 4:45 am just to make it to class! Briana is a BEAST. Not only does she push me, but she leaves no team member out! I still have no idea how she knows everyone's name, it's like a one on one but as a whole! I feel invigorated during and at the end of each class! Her playlist is LEGIT and you feel pumped with every beat. She even shares her Spotify playlist, so that if we enjoy a song, we can listen to it for the rest of the day. I have nothing but the best things to say about this facility and every single person who works there. Diane is always willing to help, whether it's by handing out fresh, clean towels to texting me 10 minutes before class to make sure I'm on my way! She's truly so lovely. A great big family is how I can best describe the feeling. It's great to be part of something again, thank you all for slowly getting me back to where I want and am meant to be! Beyond grateful!

A few of my girlfriends tried the BSK location, then some of my daughter's friends moms wanted to try as well. We came 15mins before class (as advised) so we can get a tour of place and how things run before taking class. They have bathrooms (with a shower) coat racks and lockers to place your belongings while in class. The staff and coaches were very friendly! We've had the pleasure of taking almost all the coaches and every class is different, every coach style is unique but they give you the individualized attention and motivation you need during class. The first class was an intense workout but I ended up taking advantage of their first month $99 promotion and plan on continuing. I love the way I feel especially after each class knowing that I was able to accomplish it, from the "assault" bike to the ski mill, ski erg to the erg rowing machine. I live for the community - the camaraderie feel. It gives me the Orange Theory meets CrossFit vibe. 100% give it a try, you will feel as if they rocked your world after the class but I can guarantee you- you will be back. Cheers Alpha Fit Club staff and coaches! Keep up the great work

I'm a total novice at Pilates, so Tara took time to explain proper form and alignment, which I really appreciated. We spent the first part of the session doing mat exercises, and then she led me through some exercises on the Reformer. Tara was friendly, encouraging, and patient, and her explanations were very clear. She adjusted the exercises to my level (absolute beginner), but she also made sure that my form was totally correct, and I'm really grateful for that. Setting up the appointment through the Align website was easy, and I was relieved to find that the studio has its own parking lot, so I didn't have to worry about finding street parking. The studio space is clean, welcoming, and large. I'm looking forward to checking out the group classes at Align and maybe taking some more private sessions.

SLT in Short Hills is my favorite workout. I've been going since it opened 3 years ago and love…read moreit! Prior to doing SLT I only did cardio, mainly running and tennis. Wanting to add strengthening to my exercise routine, I found SLT to be the perfect combination of resistance training and cardio. I am able to work every body part, even ones I didn't know existed. Because you are moving through each exercise without rest and pushing your body to the limit, the class also fills my cardio addiction. I also believe the resistance training has helped me in my running and tennis by preventing injuries and building core strength. The teachers I've had at SLT are amazing! They are encouraging, friendly and well trained. The classes are never the same so I never get bored. I am always trying new things in every class. The studio is always clean and inviting. Also, the staff is very responsive to any questions or requests. I would highly recommend SLT to anyone looking to change up their work out routine or just anyone. It's super challenging and effective!!! I love it!

Athlete here. I had done two Lagree classes prior to trying SLT as well as a Solidcore class at one of their LA studios. I opted for SLT this time only because they had a 2/$40 intro deal which was a little more cost effective than paying the drop in rate at the Solidcore studio nearby. I showed up for my first of two classes, and the reception girl was nice and gave me a refresher on the megaformer but warned me "you'll be lost and that's okay". She actually advised me to "copy others" if that became the case. That should have been my sign to leave, as Lagree and Pilates are both about having proper form, not just "copying" another participant which can lead to injury. If your cueing is that bad where participants are "lost," perhaps you shouldn't market it as an "all levels" class. Then I find out the instructor I had signed up for was switched to Farah, which should have been my second sign to leave. Dang, was she is rough. And not in a good way. She's forceful, impatient, and comes off very pompous. She actually had us hold movements to a beat at one point, like what? You're supposed to count at a steady pace; what instructor worth their salt coordinates the movements to their playlist? I spent the first 20 minutes debating on whether I should just walk out before I decided to ignore her vibe and just sweat it out. Instead of leaving empowered to take on my day, I left demoralized and disappointed. Then I took Alexandra's class on my second of two visits, and it was night and day. She's truly the only reason I'm giving SLT 3 stars and not 1. She was the saving grace, as she offered fantastic cues and did good demonstrations that were easy to follow. If I'm "copying" anyone, it should be the trained instructor. Alexandra was also attentive to everyone and offered gentle corrections when needed. She was courteous and asked if I'm okay with hands-on corrections, which I appreciated as well. I thanked her for turning my experience at SLT around and left her class feeling strong and inspired. Can't say I'd ever go back to SLT though. I prefer studios that are a bit more professional and prioritize safety and form. Since those two classes, I racked up 6 more Lagree classes in California on top of my normal Pilates routine. Yet to have any experience get close to rivaling the awful class I had with Farah, and I vow to walk out of any instructor's class that times a movement to "when the beat drops."

The lessons are a bit more expensive than the other leading kids swim school, but there are fewer kids so it is not nearly as chaotic. The kids definitely get great instruction and learn to swim in no time. Our son is not yet 3 and can nearly swim on his own after the lessons that he received here. The only thing that is a little strange with their structure is that your time and instructor are not guaranteed from one season to the next, so if you like your time slot and want to keep it, you need to wait in line on sign-up day. The benefit is that everyone has an equal chance of getting their preferred time each season and if you don't get it one season you have a chance the next season. Also, you need to pay for the full season up front, which is a big expense compared to other swim schools where you pay monthly. All in all, we've had a great experience here and would highly recommend it to get you child swimming well.
