This field is great for baseball and has restroom. The only problem is that only street parking.

It gets crowded, so toddlers may enjoy nearby Primrose Park. A major plus is that the bathrooms are located inside the air-conditioned community center. The shaded benches are a bit far from the play area, so keep that in mind. Overall, it's a great spot with plentiful parking, a nice walking loop, and well-maintained pickleball courts.

My partner and I really enjoy coming here to play pickleball nowadays. There are 8 permanent courts. The courts are super busy on weekend mornings and less busy on weekdays. The queue system is fair and efficient. I only wish they would keep the pickleball courts open until later. They usually close around 8pm, which seems kind of early. In my opinion, this is one of the cleaner and better-maintained parks in the area. There is a pleasant walking path. I always see people walking their dogs here and families coming here for a stroll around the park. There are parking lots on both sides of the park, as well as plenty of street parking all around. However, when there are events going on at the park, parking can be a bit difficult.

We totally didn't stop by here for a raid ;) Parking: The park has a directional parking lot with the entrance starting near the tennis courts. The exit will take you by the Hugo Reid Primary School. There's plenty of parking but be aware of the sign that cautions against the Foul Ball area closer to the baseball field. If you want to be closer to the play area, there's street parking available that can be accessed from De Anza Pl; just be kind to the residents living nearby. Environment: This place has plenty of amenities. There are 3 tennis courts as well as a baseball field, batting cages (indoor and out), and a play area. The play area is closer to the Primary school and even has handball courts. Occasionally, you might spot some peafowl here too. The parking lot puts you in close proximity to the tennis courts, batting cages, and the baseball field. According to the sign, you'll need to get a permit to use the baseball field. Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. This park is pretty nice. It's well maintained and has lots to keep you entertained. The grass area is huge and you can easily take a nice walk around; too bad there isn't a walking path.

As a mom of 3 young boys, i frequent parks as a necessity for our sanity. here's a quick breakdown…read moreif you have a young family like ours. accessibility: if you want a quiet park with lots of running space go on a weekday in the morning or in the afternoon. the weeknights can be busy depending on the sports leagues that's playing, and weekends are generally more busy with leagues and families out to play. if you're taking a car it's definitely better to visit in the afternoon as the park doesn't have its own designated parking space and the street gets busy with the andres duarte school crowd. mom alert mode: this is my own level of awareness when i'm out with my kids. 1 being i can relax and kindof think my own thoughts, 10 being i have to watch the kids like a hawk. this park gets a 8. the playground unfortunately is close to the street, which can be busy with cars, and is also wedged by two big fields (the baseball fields + big grassy areas) so a lot of places kids can wander off to. the actual playground is also safe for kids above 3 years old, so walking toddlers like my one year old with no sense of danger or heights and no natural sense of balance need extra supervision. bathroom access: pretty easy, there's only one bathroom at the park. it's smaller but close to the playground, and is central to the other fields as well. the end

Have you ever stepped in human excrement? Yah, me neither... but a guy I was playing soccer with…read moredid at this park. Now, I can't verify the veracity of his story, since I wasn't about to find out if he was telling the truth, but why would he lye. Bleh! Anyways, I'm still giving this park five stars since the incident in question only happened once out of 100 times I've been there.... I owe it to everyone who has looked for a decent park in my park-poor area to tell them about about this fantastic park hidden in plain site (you can see it right off the freeway near Mt. Olive). The fields, because they don't normally allow football or soccer leagues, are quite possibly the best in the area. Strike that - they are the best. Man do our fields suck in Pasadena through Duarte.... Anyways, it is the site of my alternating weekly pickup soccer game, but I've noticed they've got a great playground, plenty of trees and shade, barbecue pits, fantastic ball-fields, in the summer and actual clean bathrooms... Now, clean bathrooms shouldn't be the thing that puts it over the top, but in reality 9.5 parks out of ten either have super tagged up, nasty gnarly bathrooms or the dreaded plastic outhouse of death known as the port-o-pottie. Since this does has neither, the park gets five stars...although they do on occasion run out of toilet paper. Hmm...maybe that explains the incident in question....
