Their ice cream truck came to my work for a special occasion and this was so yummy and the best thing to end the day. You can choose the flavor, the dipping and anything you want to top it on. I choose simple, vanilla ice cream, dipped in dark chocolate and then sprinkled with waffle cone. I wasn't expecting much since i'm a plain ice cream kind of girl, but this was so freaking good! I loved it.
We booked Longboard ice cream for my sisters twins. 1st birthday! It was a huge hit for kids and adults. We liked it so much that we also booked for our sons 1 birthday in March. All of our guest enjoyed all their ice creams. Christine is very responsive. The service was so quick that all of our guest got their ice creams within minutes.

Think of it as lighter and more dessert-like version of Popbar, which is quite unusual I'd say (since Pop bar is seen as more "healthier" though it is much more creamier). You choose your ice cream flavor and dip it with two out of the several choices of toppings given to you. Grab and go. Eat and socialize. Personally, I got the dark chocolate flavor dipped in brownie brittles and pretzels. Which, from my perspective, has an exceptional combination of sweet and salty, while also being quite chocolatey. I enjoyed every bite of it, even though the pictures don't depict it as a pretty sight. It's nevertheless tasty and an awesome way to cool down!
Exceeded my expectations! I hired Longboards for our company event on June 4th, 2022 and they were a hit! The booking process was fast and easy. Their customer service is stellar. Their prices are reasonable and Angie will make sure to hold your hand during the booking process. Christine brought such great energy to our event and was so welcoming to our staff and customers. She explained the ordering steps and options to everyone with patience and care. Being transparent here, the ice cream treats were so good I ate two back to back. lol! And I'm never that greedy. Munchies took over - Did I mention this event was held at a dispensary? (ASHE Society, Santa Ana, CA) Everyone wants you to come back! Bomb Ice cream pops! See you at our next event! Thank you again!
This truck was procured for a work event. They let you customize your ice cream bar in 3 steps: picking your ice cream flavor, choosing what you want your ice cream dipped into and what you'd like sprinkled on the exterior. The ice cream choices given were chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, cookies & cream or - for those not into the ice cream - a banana. Milk or dark chocolate were the dipping options for the coating. There were quite a number of options to sprinkle on the outside; some I recall were Heath, Butterfinger, coconut, peanuts, colored sprinkles and waffle cone pieces. I had two: vanilla ice cream dipped in dark chocolate and covered in Butterfinger pieces and strawberry ice cream dipped in dark chocolate and covered in Heath pieces. The fast fellow in the truck made them quickly, probably less than 30 seconds. It's a fun concept but as far as a taste sensation it's enjoyable but nothing to get overly excited about.
A great and very novel concept on a classic treat. Take a plain vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cookies & cream and other assorted ice cream bars, have it dipped in the chocolate of your choice and then rolled in toppings. Toppings include: sprinkles, oreo cookie pieces, waffle cone pieces, peanuts, potato chips and more. I love having the options available to create the sweet treat that I desire. They even have frozen bananas if you prefer. I have tried multiple options with my most two visits consisting of chocolate ice cream dipped in dark chocolate and rolled in rice krispies and oreo crumbles on one visit and fruity pebbles and cocoa pebbles on the other. Both were great and really added a new dynamic to your standard ice cream treat on a stick. Prices are affordable and makes a great dessert to end a great meal. The service is fast and friendly. Be on the lookout and see when Longboards passes through your neck of the woods as this is a mobile business. They often frequent the food truck events throughout the OC so they should not be too hard to find if you live in the area. A customizable treat thats fun to eat! I look forward to trying many more creations for years to come.

Working with Longboards for our company event was easy, and communications were precise, professional, and kind. It's good ice cream! Simple too. Pick an ice cream flavor (there are only two), then pick what you want it dipped in (again there are only two choices), then pick your toppings. You can pick two (there are more than two to choose from). I got vanilla ice cream dipped in dark chocolate and then dipped in butterfingers pieces (I didn't want two toppings). They cater so invite them to your party or your wedding! read more
I LOVE LONGBOARDS ICE CREAM. Yes, I said it, and I mean it. I don't think I've ever loved a food truck, especially a dessert truck, more than I love Longboards. It's interactive, it's fun, and it's delicious! First of all, there was no line... which made me worry at first, but I still pushed on to try this ice cream. Make sure you know what to get first! Right next to the ordering window is a sign that tells you all the decisions you can make when designing your own ice cream bar. After I considered all the different options, I ended up going with mango ice cream dipped in milk chocolate and lathered in cardinal coconut shavings (my inner Trojan told me to do so). After what seemed like a couple of seconds, it was all done and ready for me to eat :) It was good. Really good. The mango flavor was subtle only because the milk chocolate was so rich (but also so delectable) and the cardinal coconut shavings were cute and undeniably a great topping to my ice cream bar. Please come back to USC, Longboards! I'll eat all of your wares! read more
Great concept, cool dudes, Thanks for coming out to Vegas! I got a vanilla bar dipped in milk chocolate, half potato chips, and half fruitty pebbles and wifey got an off-the-menu item called "Sun of the Bits" a strawberry bar double dipped in dark and milk chocolate and coated in all of the bits they offer. Nice idea, but we thought it was okay. The ice cream was decent, the tops were nice but when you go to a food truck meet and you're out of some of the flavors mid-meeting, that isn't good. My friend's order was also wrong as she asked for cookies and cream and she got a vanilla ice cream instead. Good idea, but it's just ice cream... read more

I've been wanting to try Longboards for some time now and finally got the chance to at their food truck night in HB (where sports chalet and total wine is)! Step 1 - You pick your flavor of ice cream. When I went they had: vanilla, chocolate, cookies and cream, coffee, the frozen banana and a few other flavors (had my eye on the coffee so I didn't scope out the others). Step 2 - You can choose your chocolate: milk or dark. I got milk chocolate but will try dark next time. Step 3 - You choose your toppings! They have so many options AND you can choose 2 toppings, one for each side of your ice cream bar with no extra charge (I love this option). I got peanuts and pretzels but they have a ton of yummy options like waffle cone, Oreo, and cereal killer which is a bunch of different cereals combined. I ate my ice cream in 93 degree weather so I expected it to melt and drip all over my hand by the 2nd bite but that wasn't the case. Everything stayed intact for about 10 minutes (the time it took me to finish it lol). The toppings didn't fall off, the chocolate didn't melt, and my ice cream was in good condition til the very end. The ice cream wasn't too frozen which I loved - perfectly creamy. I'll have to stop by their truck again next time to try another concoction :) read more
Came here not to long ago at night to have some food from other food trucks and was very full! But I wanted some dessert!! Longboards truck was just parked there with no one! WHY!!! So I decided to go over and get some ice cream. Boy do they know how to compliment their toppings and ice cream! My friend got the mango ice cream covered in chocolate with a graham cracker crust with POTATO CHIPS!! yes that's right! potato chips and chocolate go so well together! the saltiness and sweetness are just so amazing. I got chocolate ice cream with all their toppings. When the guy was finished, the ice cream was DEFINITELY covered with everything. It was so delicious! I would definitely come back on a more hot day rather than night time(: NOTE: -Usually short lines -Friendly -Just get EVERYTHING on your ice cream! read more
It's Christmas in July when a yummy food truck parks in front of your office building!!! For FOUR DAYS IN A ROW! Too bad I went for only 2 of the days...No one dragged me out. Anyways, Longboards came as a company fundraising event, so some of the proceeds ($5 snack) went to support a local organization. Hurrah! There's a menu to the side which explains how to build your ice cream in 3 simple steps: 1. ICE CREAM BASE: Vanilla, Chocolate, Cookies n' Cream, Strawberry, Frozen Banana 2. CHOCOLATE COATING: Milk or Dark 3. TWO TOPPINGS: Cereal, Pretzels, Waffle Cone Pieces, Oreo, Coconut, Sprinkles, Peanuts, Raspberry Drizzle, etc. My default combination is Cookies n' Cream base, Dark Chocolate coating, and Pretzel toppings. I've also mixed it with Cereal and Oreo toppings. Oreo is good BUT I got a lot of cookie crumbs on my cardigan last time...does that mean I get to snack on it later? The toppings/chocolate can fall off easily, so make sure to grab a napkin on your way out. Overall, the ice cream tastes light, noticeably not as creamy/heavy as Popbar's gelato. They're different enough, and I like both places. :) read more

Such a wonderful company. So pleasant to work with from the beginning booking to the actual event. The ice cream is delicious!! We all enjoyed this special treat for my husband's drive by birthday. Christy was an absolute pleasure to work with as was Olivia. Thank you for making the day so sweet!!! I didn't get to pick, dip and roll as Isabel F deliciously described- For the Foodfest, they had premade some delicious combinations. We got the OG which was strawberry flavor dipped in milk chocolate, covered in peanuts. It was super yummy ! I will definitely look for this cute VW bug truck again and get me that mangos and cream flavor topped with dark chocolate and rainbow sprinkles! yum! read more
On a hot summer day nothings better than sharing some delicious ice cream with great company. After having a super tasty lunch at Starry Kitchen, we headed straight to Longboards for ice cream. We loved it so much we had to go back for seconds. The truck works as follows you pick, dip n roll. Yup, you heard me right, pick, dip n roll. You select the type of ice cream you want either a fruit popsicle or milk based bar. Then you have the choice of dipping it, in either dark or milk chocolate. Then you can have your ice cream rolled into a yummy topping, like peanuts or sprinkles. There's a large variety of toppings on hand. The first time around I had a mango fruit popsicle, which was completely and totally mouth watering. Next I tried a strawberry ice cream bar, dipped in milk chocolate and rolled in tasty peanuts. All I can say is YUM YUM YUM! I completely devoured my ice cream. Prices are extremely reasonable $2-3 per ice cream bar depending on what you select. Also there's two Longboards Ice Cream trucks rolling around. One is a totally tricked out VW bus and another one is sort of a converted minivan. Dear Longboards Ice Cream, you are amazing and I can't wait to try your other flavors. read more

What a smart truck, riding on the tail of the Kogi Truck...it works, hey I was able to finish my ice cream before even reaching the front of the kogi line. I like the theme of this truck. Dip it in milk or dark ghiradelli chocolate: milk for me. 3. Roll it in whatever you want: peanut butter (they didn't have it) so I picked caramel instead. The total cost: $3 It was a nice little treat. I took off one star because they offered peanut butter and the guy in the truck spent a good amount of time trying to find it, ending with no peanut butter. Combinations are endless, so if I run into this truck again, I shall try a different combination. read more
I volunteered at the OC Food Bank for my work and they happened to be giving out free ice cream bars to the volunteers. Ooh, my first time trying this place! I'm not big into ice cream bars (I'm more into ice cream sandwiches and waffles), but this was actually pretty good! The concept was easy: you pick an ice cream flavor (vanilla, chocolate, cookies & cream, etc.), it was dipped in Ghiradelli chocolate, and then you got to pick some toppings for them to roll it in (sprinkles, peanuts, Oreo cookie, waffle cone, etc.) and voila! I liked that they had a waffle cone topping since I like crunchy munchies with my ice cream. Their toppings also tasted fresh, as the peanuts and waffle cone that my bar was rolled in were not stale at all. The staff was very friendly, and the service was very good. I went at time when they had no lines, so it only took literally 1 minute for them to get my ice cream bar to me. Great place if you want a quick ice cream! read more
