I owe Arzoo Wastani my life. Am I being dramatic? Probably. But if you had as bad a case of…read morecataracts as I had, you'd understand how awful it was living with what amounted to both eyes looking through thick aging plastic Jeep windows. The first optometrist misdiagnosed me, claiming I had glaucoma, which is incurable. I refused to accept that, so after talking to some colleagues, I went to see Arzoo. She determined I have cataracts, and it's an easy thing to cure, where 99%+ surgeries are successful, and fast. She recommended a surgeon, who I won't name since I want the focus to be on Arzoo. :) I had plenty in my HSA, so I went to the surgeon she recommended. After two surgeries, one per eye, my vision is now better than 20/20. I'm so happy that I can see so clearly so far away. I need reading glasses for anything under 18" but I can see the instruments in my Jeep without any issue. I was told before surgery and I am totally fine with that! I just use reading glasses when I'm at my computer at home or work. I really mean it when I say Arzoo saved my life. Life today is so much happier than it was before I had cataract surgery. She is quite experienced, and capable, and she has the interests of her paticince in mind. I highly recommend her.

This office is not billing or understands the proper billing practices in regards to submitting…read moreinsurance claims to the insurance company. Upon my visit on 03-05-2025, I was told that in order to have my insurance cover this visit as a whole (i.e. the claim), the eye pressure test would have to be completed. If this test was opted out of, then I would become a cash pay patient. There are both procedural codes and diagnosis codes, insurance will pay on any submitted claims as long as these services covered by the policy. If a service or test is opted out of, the facility should not submit that on the claim to the insurance company. The so called prescription fee is not necessary of $50 dollars is not required BECAUSE there is no separate insurance billing code specifically for writing a prescription; in most cases, the act of writing a prescription is considered part of an overall patient encounter and is included within the billing code for the office visit (E/M code) itself, meaning you would bill based on the level of complexity of the patient encounter, not just the prescription written. I am currently working w/Aetna insurance (my carrier) to investigate and hopefully pull their contract ASAP. This office should be a shammed of these practices.

This place sucks. First off, they don't take vision insurance. Why? They take health insurance, but…read moreit doesn't matter. I was given the great honor to pay a nice $410 for a freakin eye exam. An eye exam that I told them was for contacts lenses. They registered it as an eye glasses exam. And then instead of just ordering me a 6 month contact lens prescription, they gave me some trial pairs. I ended up just going online to 1-800-contacts to try and order some myself, using the prescription from my exam. But because they put in as an "eye glasses" prescription, 1-800-contacts couldn't use it. So they called this place, who then called me, and I had to verify that I like the stupid little trial contacts. I told them yeah. And then they charged me another $150 just so that the doctor could sign off on the contact lens prescription, and get back to 1-800-contacts so that I could order some. On top of that, this place is located in a crappy area, there's construction going on all around it, so it takes you 40 years to get on to the highway. The only reason I came to this place was because my insurance provider said they were in my network, and they're not.
