Because it was so close to the time of our group's dinner, I had no choice but to allow them to set us up at a table in the middle of the restaurant. While they did a nice job setting up the table with tablecloths and making it nice, this did not meet the needs of our group at all. This is a group that meets monthly and who like to socialize with each other after dinner, change seats around and chat with each other. Being in the middle of the restaurant it was impossible for us to do this. The party room would have been perfect. The restaurant closed at 10 pm the day we were there. I left at 8pm and there was still no one in the party room, so I feel the story given to me was made up and there was no big party being held in that room on that evening. They likely did not want to use that space, perhaps staffing or some other reason. I would have preferred to be told the truth; it would have sat much better with me than the story I was told. I also did not believe that they had the possibility of a big party and it wasn't in the computer for the staff to be aware that the room would possibly be occupied that night. The food was good, although two of our group said their dish was cold. Sushi was fresh. Service was good, staff was attentive. I am definitely never going to use this restaurant again to book our group dinner, but I might go again for a lunch or possibly a dinner with just a couple of other people.
