I don't visit Long John Silvers but when I do it's decent. It's edible especially when you don't have time to prepare your own fried fish. It's very affordable but always VERY greasy. I recently tried a fish taco too and that was not the place to satisfy your craving. But overall, employees are nice and my food is always fresh. I would recommend giving it a try. They would if received 5, if I didn't think it could contribute to unhealthy amounts of grease intake . But also keep in mind, you pay for what you get! So you be the judge read more

For starters, I was visiting my ill sister and came to pick up dinner for the 2 of us. I asked the employee to cook my food with no salt, because my previous meal from LJ Silver's was very salty, and she told me they don't use salt. 2nd, I asked about the senior discount after I paid for my order (while still standing at the register) and she advised me that she couldn't give me the discount since I already paid. 3rd, she had a bad attitude and did not make me feel like a valued customer, 4th, my food was very salty and we did not enjoy it. Finally this experience (bad attitude, refusal to honor the senior discount and salty food) has resulted in my decision to NEVER patronize any Long John Silver again! read more

Stopped in to try the all you can eat Sunday special. Fish and or chicken with any sides and drink all you can eat. Everything tasted great, there is no buffet made when ordered. Couldn't get past a second plate. read more

No stars for Long John Silvers. I ordered two meals in the drive thru and after waiting for her to come to the window, she swiped my card then I proceeded to sit there for 20 minutes. No joke. All of 20 minutes. I finally went inside to see what was going on, waited in line for another 15 minutes with only two couples in front of me.. I explained why I was in there and asked for my food if it was ready or a refund. The girl who took my order at the drive thru was then again, complaining with an attitude that she had to make my food twice since I left the window after WAITING FOR 20 minutes! No explanation, no apology.. so i decided i wanted the refund because i was appalled by the lack of customer service. It then took another 5 minutes for them to return with my card from the refund. read more

So I heard this rumor from crazy Craig down my street that the fish inside the breading at this place was actually just this grey sludge that they mold into the shape of fish pieces and then deep fry them. I didn't believe him though, he talks to the light poles too much to know that and it's not like he works there. So anyway I went in to try some and got the Alaskan pollock, hush puppies, cole slaw and fries. By god that was one of the best fast food meals I have ever eaten, a little greasy on the fish and fries but the hush pups were awesome. That being said the drive thru entrance is so far back on their lot that I had to drive under some overhanging trees. While I waited in line there must have been a very ill-tempered squirrel in that tree and I must have had three tree nuts that were thrown into my cars sunroof. They really shouldn't allow their trees tenants to become so aggressive, I just wish the employees would reach out and see what had upset the little guy. But once again, great fish. read more

Long John Silver's has always been considered one of the greasiest restaurants in the Toledo area. My experience tonight lived up to that expectation. While the food does taste good going down, you will start to feel a little sick a few hours after. I am glad to see they are starting to offer grilled fish options and getting away from the unhealthy "greasy spoon" reputation they have. The staff seemed not too enthused to be working there as one member told us they expect to be closed down pretty soon. The only saving point of the restaurant is the hush puppies. Those are the only food items I would recommend. read more
