The parking lot is A good size and that was helpful because I came here during the Covid pandemic and no more than five customers were allowed in the building at one time. When I arrived there was a line of people waiting to get in. It's a little brisk outside so I wasn't sure if I wanted to stay but I really wanted to find some better salmon than what I had been getting at Kroger. When it was my turn to go in I was pleasantly surprised to see that there were several people behind the counters helping customers. I found the salmon that I wanted and, naturally because I was waiting to pay, I selected a couple of more things to buy. I got an eggroll and I was surprised at how good it was given that it came from a seafood store. Took the salmon home and made the recipe that I had found in a magazine - my husband is not a huge fan of salmon but he absolutely loved how fresh the fish tasted. In fact he loved it so much that two weeks later when I suggested that we make the salmon again he went with me to the Fish Market. In addition to getting the salmon we ended up buying some swordfish and some frozen alligator chunks. He ended up making the alligator into tacos and that was surprisingly good. The only bad news is that we are moving into weeks to about 25 miles north of Detroit. I don't know how often will be able to come here but I'm sure when we do come down to Toledo to visit friends, We will bring a cooler with us to pick up some fish on our trip home.

The counter staff are friendly and efficient and they also sell batter, fry mix, lemon and cocktail sauce to complete your meal. The one thing I didn't like was their clam chowder, the potatoes were kind of overcooked and the flavor was bland. Overall, I would recommend this market for good seafood selection and freshness.
