This place started as a stage coach stop not a Rest stop like we have along our highways now. Horses were a mode of transportation not engine powered car or trucks. We go back in time where everything went slower. Walking in, the huge fireplace, the beautiful wood floors, the lighting, nice touch with the hurricane oil lamps that have been converted to provide lights. The simple abstract horse drawings on the wall, all to help take you back to a time long ago. The food is simple but modernized with today's flair, everything from Rueben sandwiches to Salmon to meatloaf and more. We have been here now several dozen times and can tell you Kelly((manager) and her crew our awesome. Many of them have been here a long time. Everyone is sweet and nice and will take the time to converse and answer a history question, if you dare ask. This place is worth coming to, though I recommend a reservation, it helps.
