Eating out these days seems that we have to accept the new standards, short staffed, poor service,…read moreand high prices, etc. So I would like to share my current experience at Wendy's! I had what was probably the best meal I've ever ordered at any Wendy's! The service was fast and friendly, and the food looked like it does on the advertisements, it was fresh, hot, and tasted great!! Thanks for the shimmer of light on the potential for decent fast food in our future!!

Actually, more like 2.5 stars. I've been WALKING up to their…read morewindows in the dark, in the snow and rain... Calling in has met with mixed results, waiting behind the cars and walking forward isn't very safe as well as it's degrading. The last few times I told myself "Never again!" Actually, every time! I've been here 1 from to 5 times a month, since December 2019, when I started working down the street a block. Three visits ago, I tried calling again from the intersection, but nope, I couldn't place an order that way. Had to wait in line. Two days ago, I called and said, "Hey, look, it's dark and rainy, let me call in an order. I'm in your lot." That worked out well, but then the first window told me to wait until all the cars ahead of me had passed. Then they told me to go pay at the 2nd window, because my food was ready, and I still had to stand back and wait for car after car, after she had said she'd help me, "after this car." I asked when are you going to open up inside and just two days ago I was told that they didn't have the staff to open up inside. Then today, while a car left a space while he was ordering, I just proceeded to the window and ordered. She didn't say, "Just go inside... it's open now." So, I had to stand there between the cars while some customer complained that I had just walked up and cut in front of him. If I had gone inside to begin with, I would have been ahead of him! The situation is, either you close your windows to walk-up traffic, or indicate out front whether your inside is open, or closed, or just have one plan that you use consistently, because we truckers are SICK TO DEATH of the COVID-19 rules that have so negatively impacted our eating for a year and a half, while the rest of the public can sit in their cars, park in designated spots and have food brought to them, and not be treated like second class citizens with a disease!

Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken - This is what a leg looks like at Lee's. It is being compared to the plastic fork that comes with the napkin.

Their sides are great all of them especially baked beans, mashed potatoes and fresh daily cole slaw. If you are local dont forget your coupons. They also cater or do large orders ie hint hint graduation party to reduce your load. Drive Thru open at 1030 am. When the wind bliws right you can smell the chicken at the Sandusky Mall parking lot.

I ordered a breast and a leg 2 piece meal. They were out of the item I originally wanted to order,…read moreso I went with the 2 piece and asked for a breast and a leg. I didn't check the order which is my bad. Went home and opened the box to find 2 pathetic looking drumsticks. They were sized like a drumette you would eat at someone's wing night. They also tasted like old oil. I'm thinking they didn't have any breasts ready and didn't want to deal with it 20 minutes before closing? I don't know, just guessing. However, I didn't get my order and what I did get was substandard. I paid over 12 dollars for a biscuit, 2 sides (small sides) large diet and 2 "drumettes", essentially. I could have just as well flushed the 12 dollars down the drain. The young lady at the window was extremely pleasant so kudos to her for that, anyway! I used to love Lee's, but they just lost my business.

First night: I…read moredrove 1.5 miles from our lodging to cure frozen custard cravings! I wasn't fully satisfied with my frozen custard experience in MO. I figured to give OH a chance with their competitor. Fresh Frozen Custard Concrete Mixer appeared and tasted like melted custard gone wrong! Custard base was white, included two flavors of your choice. I chose caramel and peanut butter. Also selected almonds and paid a little extra as I craved for crunch and texture in my evening treat. The flavor combinations meshed well together. Also disappointed that my dessert wasn't filled to the brim. This is how my treat was served when I shot the photo. Please freeze the supposedly frozen custard for a longer period of time. I'm certain there will be happier customers in the future. There are pros regarding dine in: Plethora of free parking in the lot. First order, then pay. Customer(s) will be given a number and instructed to place number placard on the table. An employee will bring your order(s) to the table and remove the number placard. Lots of tables, benches and individual stools with countertops. Second night: I persuaded my husband to let's try their ButterBurger and fries for dinner. We're all in and arrived hungry at 8:05 PM to find a sorry for the inconvenience sign indicating they will close at 8 PM tonight. Normal COB hours for Mondays are 10 PM. That was an unexpected closure. If I'm in the area again, I desire a complete meal filled with ButterBurger Cheese, Wisconsin Cheese Curds and a Frozen Custard Concrete Mixer.

This was my first time ever trying them. I love them now!…read more The butter cheese burgers, chili cheese fries, root beer, and regular fries were all wonderful. Great staff recommendations. Very fast clean food prep area and clean seating area. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly with helping me order what's the most popular on their menu and describing everything's ingredients Next time I'm in ohio I want to try their ice cream too.
