Really tasty wines that are, as they say, "approachable" (you won't have to sell a kidney for a…read morebottle.) The indoor tasting area is somewhat small and urban chic. This may not be the spot to go to in the winter. Though, if we were local, I could see us hanging out at the bar, watching a game and noshing on fare from the Little Oak Pizza Kitchen. The chow from the kitchen is fresh and tasty though some of it is a bit over priced but HEY! You're wine tasting out East! FUGGHEDABOUTIT! 5 gigantic shrimp for about $20. Tasty but maybe not worth $4/shrimp. Your best bet is to go with their pizzas which are pretty awesome. Juuuuuuust big enough for two (unless you're a total gavone, then you might need one just for yourself). We recommend the Buddy Boy which features sopresseta and hot honey. Jazz it up with additional spicy sausage. NOW you're eating! The outdoor tasting area is relaxed. There's a covered section that ensures you're out of the sun and any stray shower. Larger, Oktoberfest-style tables off to the side and clusters of Adirondack chairs under a stand of trees. No views of vines to speak of but you feel like you're visiting your rich friends' exceedingly well-landscaped backyard. A completely relaxing experience and, being just west of Jamesport proper, you don't spend your entire afternoon slogging to points further east. One of our favorite spots! Cheers!

I loved it here! They were very accommodating as I had miscalculated the time it would take to get…read morethere and were okay with pushing my reservation time. The atmosphere was very cute, very picturesque. I had signed up for the summer tasting which from reading was supposed to be two personal pies and 5 tasting. But we only got 1 pie and had ordered a small appetizer which came up for $50 something plus tip. Which was a bit confusing for me cause I had already paid 100 for the reservation. Nonetheless, the service was great, staff was very knowledgeable on the wine and also very attentive! The pizza was also really good we had gotten the mushroom pizza 10/10. Overall highly recommend

I checked Yelp and narrowed down a list of dog-friendly vineyards on Long Island. My good friend…read moreCynthia picked Macari Vineyards because the food menu caught her eye. The drive from Queens to Mattituck took about 1.5 hours. We didn't have a reservation, but they welcomed walk-ins. The hostess told us the first two rooms were for ordering drinks and food at the bar only. The deck was set up as the Tasting Room. Also, there was another Private Tasting Suite by the restrooms and kitchen. My good friend's dog barked, and a staff member snapped at us. We didn't let it ruin our first impression of Macari Vineyards. Cody greeted us at the bar, and Cynthia asked him about the sparkling wine selection. He offered her samples of the 2024 "Horses" Sparkling Cabernet Franc and Red Blend. Cody gave us a table number after we ordered and paid, so that the servers could bring our food. He informed the kitchen to keep the soppressata separate for our charcuterie. Drinks 2024 "Horses" Sparkling Cabernet Franc Red Jacket Strawberry Apple Juice - refreshingly delicious 2024 "Horses" Sparkling Red Blend Food *sharing is caring* Cheese and Charcuterie for Two (Fig Jam, Bread, Pita Chips, Double-Cream Brie, Aged Gouda, Valencia Almonds, Soppressata) The Brie was creamy and melted in my mouth, and the fig jam added a touch of sweetness. Roberta's Baby Sinclair Roberta's Famous Original Both pizzas were my favorite with all the flavorful toppings. My palate was bouncing off the roof! Bookmark this spot to try!

My favorite LI vineyard. We come here everytime we're in the area. Tons of space and dog friendly…read moreon the grass area. I find LI wines can be hit or miss, but we really enjoy their selection here. The sparkling rosé is delightful and taste like strawberries! They have have a nice selection of charcuterie, but we come for the pizza. Their pizza truck has some of the best pizzas (and I'm usually not a fan of pizza...yes I know...strange for a native NYer). The crust is nice and light with the perfect amount of chewiness. Walk ins are welcome and reservations are only for 6 or more. I've seen their set up for parties and it's super cute

Ehh. My fiancé and…read morefamily did not like it here. First the set-up is terrible. You walk down some steps outside and have to wait to be seated. That's fine, but this is also how you exit. So you are constantly shuffling with people waiting to be seated and leaving. Also with these stairs, it is not wheelchair friendly. This also makes it difficult for families with a stroller as this vineyard is kid friendly. Now the wine. We each got a "mystery flight." We were given 4 different wines and we had to figure out what it was. If we got them all correct, the flight is free. We didn't them all correct at all. This concept itself is fun and definitely creates for good conversation as everyone puts their input into their guesses. We weren't a fan of the wines either. We just didn't think they tasted good. There is some food offerings here, but we didn't get any. We agreed that we wouldn't return here. One and done.

While Tinkerbell entertained us with his purrs. Rex eventually took us on a tour. The Rosè was one of the better Roses we have had. The reds were delicious and we went home with plenty of wine and stories. Since it was raining we ended up inside. If you have animal allergies be careful. Else. Homy.

This is just real wine that speaks to you if you are open enough to listen to it. No natty wine bro talk here just real farming practices by real people who care about the environment. And the wine...they're amazing, they've got soul and personality. After tasting Long Island wines for many years these wines were a welcome for my taste buds. Connie and Rex are unfiltered and welcoming in a world and industry full of salespeople. Beautiful and inviting home. They made and the kids feel like we were visiting family even offering the kids something to eat or drink. Kids decided to play with several of the cats which are also super friendly. Once done with the flight tasting, Rex invited us for a ride in their pickup truck through the vineyards. If you want to truly understand wine, this is one of the best places and people to do this with. You feel connected in so many ways from soil to vine to glass through Rex and Connie. It's one of the best wine experience I've had in my 23 years in the wine trade. Looking forward to coming back for harvest.
