I lost my everything when my baby Thor passed away.. I've never been more devastated in my life, and it's crazy how strong of a bond we have with our pets. I took him here and Chris helped us out with everything. He was very professional and sympathetic and made this process easy and comforting. It takes a few business days to receive the ashes but it's okay because no matter the wait, Thor is back home now. I hope no one has to go through this pain anytime soon, but this is something special I definitely recommend doing.

Our beautiful boy Walter White May he RIP

Last Friday evening, our beautiful boxer of 7 years, died of a massive heart attack. There was no time to get him to an emergency vet, as he passed within seconds of him jumping off the bed and collapsing onto the floor in front of us. It was the most heart wrenching moment for our family and something we won't soon forget. After the initial shock wore off of what we just witnessed, my husband found Chris at Long Island Pet Cremation on line and he helped us with final arrangements for our boy. Chris was respectful and compassionate when he arrived at our home within the hour "Walter" passed. We said our goodbyes and placed our boy inside Chris's vehicle. Today we picked up Walters ashes and everything went exactly as Chris promised. He provided us with a lovely wooden urn and two paw prints of Walter. Our dog was part of our family and we miss him terribly, but Chris truly helped us get through the final moments making Walters passing a little more bearable.

After my first pup was cremated and they were aware that her sister survived her they provided a matching box for Gracie's remains when her time came. The service and follow through was better than what I've experienced some 13 years ago with first generation of family pets.

Legacy is simply the most outstanding choice in a farewell for a most beloved pet…read more 1. Process: upon the passing of our Shih Tzu, we contacted legacy outside of normal business hours. Even after changing our mind and requesting a home pick up, they retained professionalism and catered to our whims on that difficult evening. A few phone calls and less than an hour in time, our pup was picked up with the utmost care and compassion by staff. 2. Organizing viewing/cremation: this was done the next day by contacting the facility directly. Took all but 20 minutes to do so and clear cut explanations were involved. Again this was approached in the most caring and compassionate manner. 3. Facility: I previously used them several years ago and chose to use them again for the very flawless streamlined process. This time around, I can attest that the facility itself has undergone a massive upgrade. The private viewing rooms are clean, relaxing and comforting with the selection of music. Our family of four adults comfortably gathered in here, with clear view of our beloved transported into the cremation chamber. 4. Cost: as cost varies per pet, I will not divulge here. However, in comparison to animal crematoriums that offer similar services, you literally get what you pay for here and so much more, considering the care and compassion used to handle your beloved pet. I will always refer this place to anyone I know, going through this most rough patch in pet passing.

Making the call was incredibly difficult, but the person I spoke with helped ease some of that burden. At no point during that call did I feel rushed or that my feelings were disregarded. When Kevin and Dr. Maura arrived, they showed the same kindness and compassion. They walked us through the entire process and allowed us some final, meaningful time with our fur baby before we began. The level of empathy they both showed is something I will never forget. Thank you for making such a difficult day a little more bearable and for treating our beloved fur baby with the dignity, love, and respect she deserved.
