This was the second time we have used them. Dr. Becky and her assistant Taylor were wonderful. They explained the entire procedure to me and my husband. We weren't rushed so we could spend more time with her. When it was over, they wrapped her in a blanket (head showing) and my husband carried her to their car. It was a beautiful, peaceful, dignified passing for a wonderful dog. Thank you again for your kindness in a truly awful situation.

I truly want to thank everyone at Final Journey LLC for their help with my service dog's passing a month ago. Not only did they give Boxcar a beautiful transition, but they were so genuine and compassionate. Dr. Kristen Klie took such care in guiding us all through the process in the most peaceful way. Kevin, the vet tech who assisted when Boxcar passed, came back personally to bring him home a week later. The card we received with his urn was unbelievably kind, and even mentioned Boxcar's adventures and how much he loved pink. It was so touching and meant the world to us. If that tragic day is coming for your pet, I would recommend Final Journey one hundred times over. They are a real blessing.

TODAY At 11:30, this Vet, Dr. Klie injected two HEALTHY, sibling, bonded 6 yr Old Chows, named Bella and Rumple!! She stood guard on the porch, as I was there by 11:40 am. She said, "The PROCESS has begun and cannot be stopped." Two weeks ago, Melvin of Waterbury, CT. reached out as they were being evicted. Last ditch rescue plans were in place by my friend, Michele of Danbury. Deadline NOON. His parents then did a 180. The name is, Final Journey, a service comes to your home to put your SICK DOG DOWN; but, look~ these pups were healthy. Perfectly healthy CHOWS, needed their Chow familiar foster.....RIP. ***Dr. Klie of "FINAL JOURNEY"***, Monroe, CT. I met her, it's true!

I couldn't be more grateful to final journey in this humane and compassionate service they offer pet owners. Euthanasia has been offered for many years, but not in the way final journey offers this difficult and emotional service. It was time for my 16-year-old dog to cross that bridge and I chose final journey to assist in her crossing. Dr Klie and Kevin came to my home, they were compassionate and professional. Everything was explained, they don't rush you, they were understanding and respectful. My girl was able to be put to rest in the comfort of her home, surrounded by everyone who loved her and in her favorite bed. When it was done Dr. Klie and Kevin gave us as much time as we needed and went out to their car. The next day I received an email with condolences and links to help with the loss of a pet. They hand delivered my girls ashes with a handwritten note from Dr Klie and Kevin. If I had to describe final journey in one word it would be compassionate, from my first interaction to my last. They truly understand that Geezy was not just a pet, she was a family member. I would highly recommend final journey to anyone who is in need of this service.

This is Remi about six years ago happy playing fetch with his favorite stick.

Yesterday was truly one of the worst day of my life so far. After 16 years, 1 month & 14 days of love, fun, and silliness, Remi passed away peacefully in my arms with the dignity that he deserved. I, on the other hand, ugly cried for an hour or so... I am now doing better than expected and I think that's because he truly needed & deserved that peaceful end. Final Journey provided the most compassionate care for my dog and for me. Dr. Klie and Stacey were professional yet caring, direct yet sympathetic, while being respectful and understanding the whole time. They took tender living care with Remi from the time they walked in the door to the time they walked out the door with him. I can not thank them enough for that compassion, caring, and respect!

In loving memory of our boy Chunkie P.

This really meant a lot to me during this hard time. Through out the whole process they showed sympathy and compassion and it was greatly appreciated! Dr Dawn has been visiting me about two times a month for well over a year now. Before her treatments, I was starting to limp and having much more difficulty navigating the steps I needed to use to go outside. Jumping on to my parents' bed at night when it was time for us to all go to sleep together, was becoming a hit and miss (mainly miss) experience. My regular vet, whose opinion we respected, had done everything in his power to help me. However, despite monthly Adequan injections, I was obviously still experiencing pain and compromise to my daily functioning. In fact it was during a routine visit to my conventional veterinarian when my mom questioned him as to what else could be done that could help address my arthritis. My vet discussed some alternate non medical treatments. Out of all the options mentioned, he recommended acupuncture as the most effective. He explained that although he didn't offer that service in his animal hospital, he encourages it. He related how he personally had treatments himself, and definitely benefited from them. When asked for a referral to his own personal acupuncturist, we were informed that pets needed different acupuncturist specialists then people, as the training necessary to be an expert and certified for that, was extensive and specific. We decided we were going to try and see if acupuncture could work for me. Coincidentally, at about the same time we actually heard about Dr. Dawn from another source. In addition to the vet's recommendation, my dog walker told my mom about how her 20 year old daughter's Bell's palsy, which was lingering, was almost spontaneously resolved after one treatment with acupuncture. My dog walker (who is also a great caring person, and has three dogs herself) said her daughter's acupuncturist told her about a veterinarian acupuncturist that she said was terrific. Enter Dr. Dawn Greenberg into our lives. As soon as I met Dr. Dawn, her soft voice, gentle pets to my head and reassuring manner won me over. Being a big, territorial kind of guy, it was great that she traveled to my own home to give me my treatments, which greatly reduced any any stress that I may have had, if I went to an unfamiliar office with strange smells and cold steel tables that I would associate with unhappy thoughts. It also helps that my mom stays with me right on our own couch during the treatments. I am preoccupied with conversation and kisses and I usually don't notice or ever flinch as the tiny needles are very slowly applied. Dr. Dawn patiently answers all questions and addresses all my mom's concerns. Dr Dawn is very involved with my health in general, and doesn't restrict her advice to my acupuncture alone. She was a conventional veterinarian prior to becoming a specialist in this field, so she is very knowledgeable. There was the time when after a treatment I was feeling so much better I was able to jump up unnoticed with my front paws onto the kitchen counter and ate some vegetable souffle that contained onions. Boy, when my mom called up Dr Dawn hysterical that she was afraid that those onions were potentially poisonous, Dr Dawn calmly talked my mom through what to do. And then there are all of Dr. Dawn's suggestions, like changing to a more effective anti flea and tick application then the one I had been using for years. She also told my mom about these toe-grips that slip over my nails and help walking by decreasing the slipping on the tile and wood floors. Most recently after Dr. Dawn attended a week long out of town advanced training course for new treatments and told us about a video she became aware of there, that had strength training exercises to help with weakness in my back legs, which she explained is one of the problems. Then, there was one time when I missed my Adequan injection at my general vet. Due to my mom's working schedule I would have had to wait another whole week to get it. When my mom voiced her concern about the delay, Dr Dawn ran into her car and returned with the proper Adequan shot and gave it to me right there and then! Talk about service with a smile. I have the utmost respect for her and am so glad to have the very nice Dr. Dawn in my life. In addition to looking forward to her visits (I even get so excited I jump up to greet her) it really seems that the treatments are helping me. Since I am very allergic to almost everything, typical analgesic pain reduction medications are out of the question for me. So, without the acupuncture treatments, I am afraid that my life would be so much more restricted due to pain. I just wanted to let others know of my experience so perhaps they too can consider this as a valuable alternative. Thank you for listening to my story, Pipie

The office he works out of is interested in 1 thing. Not my pet's well being. They are interested in money. The deal was a flat "package deal" of $6500. This was supposed to be $1000 discount as per Dr Lesser. This was said to me and my wife VERY clearly. That was the fee and no additions unless something went horribly wrong. Thankfully nothing did. He is healing. At each time of bringing Harvey in for the next step the office staff attempted to overcharge me. Each time I explained that the arrangement was a package deal of $6500. Each time they had to consult someone else as if it is not stated clearly on the invoice they and I both have copies of. Each time they backed down. Until... today. We are 10 weeks out from removing his stiches. This is the timeframe that Dr Lesser instructed me to bring him back for his final xray to make sure everything is good. It was NEVER said that this xray was an additional fee. Never did anyone tell me when I made the appt that there was an additional fee. I got there this morning to be confronted with an $854 estimate for this xray. I protested and said exactly what I said the prior 2 times. I was being over charged for a "package deal". First by the nurse, then the office manager. I asked her to contact Dr Lesser. She claims he says that is not what he said. YES YOU DID! Dr Lesser I hope you read this and 1 of 2 things happens: either you chew out the people who lied about what you said and reschedule Harvey's included xray OR you call me at (631) 258-8766 and apologize for lying to me. One of you is lying. You absolutely said the price was $6500 for everything. I cannot, with good conscience, say my dog was mistreated in any way at this place but I DEFINITELY was. I guess the bottom line is you had better get every little thing in writing from this place as far as cost because they WILL try to screw you. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because Harvey is OK.
