Second time ordering from them. First time was just egg drop soup, very good. This time around I went with hot n sour soup which was delicious and also tried an entree. Three meats with hot & spicy sauce, they ask how spicy you want it. You could have it not spicy mild spicy or extra spicy I went with extra spicy but to me it was maybe mild so not that spicy. I also learned that they use stainless steel scrubbies to clean with. Because they served me a piece. All restaurants use them even when told not to but when they are getting worn out toss em. Ordered a to go order...broccoli beef, a couple of soups a pupu platter and szechuan chicken...got home...no egg rolls and the szechuan chicken was sesame chicken. We HATE sesame chicken. I called to let them know that they messed up our order. The gal who answered the phone said that it was MY fault instead of saying that sorry szechuan and sesame sound similar and that they would replace the order...did not happen and cannot recommend this place ever again. This is a fantastic Chinese restaurant owned by a very nice lady and her family. The food came out quickly and the portions were massive to me especially for the price. They have a few healthy soups to choose from as well as some other healthier dishes too. They also have lunch specials, but I was there during the evening so we ordered off the menu. I don't know if you've had Sizzling Chicken Rice Soup before, but I never had before last night. The sizzling part happens when the rice is put in the broth, it sizzles and crackles, felt like it was rice krispies! The soups had a good, mild flavor and I especially enjoyed the veggies. I tasted a little of everything we ordered and it was all good to me...I don't think you can go wrong here if Chinese is what you're craving. read more

Surprisingly good Chinese restaurant! Was a little worried when we pulled up, it's a dumpy old building. Inside was decent and the food was delicious if you like authentic, spicy Chinese food. Well this was the first Chinese I have tried in Farmington and hopefully it doesn't set the tone. We ordered the general chicken, lemon chicken and sweet and sour pork. The general chicken was some sort of red mush and very greasy, lemon chicken was the same pretty much but at least most of the grease came on the side, sweet and sour pork was fried super hard but still greasy which is hard to pull off, finally the won tons were not greasy! Don't even consider this restaurant. I should have turned around when I saw what a dump it was. Seats are falling apart. Carpet is torn and dirty. The food was terrible. I ate 1/8 of the szechuan chicken, none of the egg roll and just a spoonful of the soup. The service was as bad as the food. I would give this place ZERO stars if I could. The building outside looks dirty,and when we walked inside the waiter asked us in a very angry tone " what do you want? " as soon as we walked in. The whole time he served us he gave us attitude and would not make eye contact while speaking to us and when asked something he would have an attitude about it and not correctly list off what was in the food I was asking about. I ordered the beef lo mein and what came out was a pile of slop. The beef was so bland, and unappetizing. On top of it they just threw a massive pile of those chips that go into the soup on top of the meat. Then the Kung Pao had no flavor and was not good. The rice that came with our meal had a pungent odor like they had not cleaned the pan out that they served us in. The waiter was very rude and when we told him he became very hostile and was trying to blame us the whole time. Long story short we walked out and left. Don't waste your time or money here. It was a cool, mid-December evening under a full moon when we pulled into the parking spot. The exterior of the building made us leery as we looked for the door. A friend had suggest this place, but we were now not so sure. But when we came through the door we were sure we heard the Hallelujah chorus as we glanced around at the bright clean interior, the colorful silk plants and Chinese decor. A football game was playing on the TV as smells of spicy goodness wafted to our nostrils. We weren't greeted at the door, and there was no sign indicating whether we should wait or seat ourselves, so we chose the latter. The furnishing were clean and colorful. Some of the vinyl on the booths was worn, but not in an overly damaged kind of way. A vinyl repair kit would have them looking like new in no time. There was not a speck of dust anywhere, not even on the ceiling fans - dormant on this cool evening. There were a couple of customers waiting for carry out, but it was barely 5 o'clock. We had chosen to dine early so we could talk without disturbing others. The host asked us less than 2 seconds after we chose our seats for our drink order, which he delivered just as promptly with our menus. The selection was huge, not something you would expect for a little place. It took us some to read all the options. Our server was patient and very kind. We both chose the sesame chicken, fried rice, she the egg drop soup, I the hot and sour. The soup came very promptly. It only glitch in the evening was we both got the egg drop soup. But, being adventurous, I didn't complain and tried it anyway. As I took my first sip it was as if magical fairies from a mystical kingdom far away came and danced on my tongue. The world seemed warmer and brighter as I continued to consume this magical concoction. Before I was even half way through the soup, our entrees arrives, screaming hot and GIANT and I mean HUMONGOUS portions. One would have been enough to split and still had leftovers. The rice, likewise was served family-style in it's own container. We were assured we could have more if we wanted, but given the large portion before us, we knew we wouldn't need it. As the magic soup fairies danced away, I dug into my sesame chicken. It was at that moment that I began to understand what the gods of olympus must have felt like eating their ambrosia. It was heavenly. I venture to say even orgasmic. (Can I say that on google? too bad I did.) It was spicy, but flavorful, very fresh and not overdone. The fairies had been replaced by tiny dragons that gently heated my tastebuds, but held back from burning them, allowing the sesame flavor to roll gently across my palate. Soon I had consumed most of my giant portion without regard for my bulging stomach. I could hear my tastebuds screaming "more more!" while my stomach groaned in protest. But I had to stop. Our server delivered a to-go box with our check, as if she had read our minds. There was no way we were leaving any behind. Then we looked at the check. As if our evening hadn't been magical enough we realized that not only had we spent less than we would have at any other Chinese place in town, but we spent less than just about any place that doesn't have a dollar menu. The prices were obviously set by leprechauns that already have all the gold they could ever want. We left happy, full, and with money still in our pockets. Don't let the exterior of this place turn you off. The inside is quaint, very clean, and bright. The bathroom is small and not wheelchair friendly, though. The only glitches of the night were the soup, which I did not mention to the server, but enjoyed the substitute very much anyway, and the fried rice was just a *tiny* bit on the dry side. Overall this was an amazing dining experience. If you're looking for a 'nice' place, this is not the place for you, but if you're looking for a great meal in a friendly warm and bright cafe' type setting, then go here. If you want the only GOOD chinese food in the 4 corners, then this is your new favorite place. Trust me. The fairies, dragons, and leprechauns are waiting for you. read more
