I've been bringing my bikes here for about 15 years. They've always done good work for me at a fair price. That being said... my only complaint is that they need help in the office. They never get back to me when they say...I brought my bike in(thursday) for a fuel leak, and they said they'd call me in a few hours and let me know. I called 5 hours later, and was told that the mechanic was on lunch, and that they'd get back to me when he's back. No call. I called the next day(friday) and they said they were about to get started on steam cleaning the engine, and they'd hit me up. No call rest of the day. Today(Saturday) is the third day, and I was told the same thing, that they were about to start the steam cleaning... that they'd call me back with an estimate.. No call back, no communication. Now I'm stuck waiting until Tuesday when they re-open. I appreciate these guys a ton, but it's frustrating being forgotten about. read more

Amazing service !!! Over the top effort to help me get my bike battery replaced. When I arrived Israel dropped what he was doing to find me a matching battery and lent me Allen wrench set with good faith I'll return. Unfortunately the battery didn't fit and when I returned it he offered to have delivered next day. Unfortunately on live far and was on a mission for a friend who leaves town tmrw. He then called a competitor store and found the right size battery. Was honest about it being a lower quality battery but will do the job. Offered a $20 cash tip he denied it. Honest shop I will be back for any bike needs even tho I live far it's hard to find trusting shops for your bikes. read more

I took a set of tires here for my sport bike to get installed. They mounted the new tires in a timely manner however, they did not balance them. Every shop mounts and balances together. I was not informed the tires would not be balanced, I would have taken them to another shop if I'd known. I noticed they weren't balanced after I brought the wheels and tires home. I called them and was informed their machine wasn't working properly and apologized which was a nice gesture. I was told to call two other shops to take the wheels to in order to finish the job. I took the wheels to one of the shops for $40. I ended up paying more $ than I would have if took it to the shop which could mount and balance. I called the original installer and asked if they'd reimburse me, which was declined. I told them I would have gone to another shop to begin with if I'd known their balancing machine was broken. In the end, I spent double the time having to go to two shops, and more money too. Super nice guys, but work ethic wasn't there. Lastly, Alex was nice and let me drop off 3 old tires which needed to be recycled, so it was appreciated. read more

I typically only leave reviews when the service is excellent but today I felt compelled to warn others to avoid wasting time and frustration with Long Beach Motorcycle Repair. I phoned this morning at 9:45 to discuss a flat rear tire situation on my HD Ultra Classic that required a tow into the shop. I was told they could help and they'd send a trailer to tow my bike asap. I was informed there was one pickup ahead of mine just a few miles alway. I was grateful and postponed my morning meetings to allow time for the tow. At 11:30 I hadn't seen or heard anything from the shop so I called to get an update. I was told I'd see the trailer by 12:30. I again postponed my early afternoon meetings to allow for the tow. 12:30 rolled around, no truck. At 12:45, still no truck so I called again and the shop said the driver left 10 minutes ago. (I live 8 minutes from the shop.) 1:00, still no truck. I'm upset at this point. Had someone communicated that they were behind I could have made my 12:00 meeting work. Instead the shop kept me on ice. I called back and no one answered. Called back again and was put on hold before I could say hello. 3 minutes later I was still on hold so I hung up. The driver finally called me at 1:10 and said he was close. I told him to cancel the tow and he laughed and said "Thanks!" What a joke! A wasted day and nothing accomplished. Its unbelievable that shops like this are still in business with how lousy the customer service is. Had they communicated with me it wouldn't have been a problem. read more

He gave me an over the phone diagnosis that aligned with my suspicions so I brought it over. My bike was sitting for a little while and it had an electrical problem. I was going thru battery's left and right as a result. Since my tire replacement review, I haven't been very unhappy with their service/attitude. I have swung by twice trying to inquire about 4k scheduled maintenance for a cbr600, just to see what they would say, and both times I got the same run around. "Every motorcycle needs full service every 5k miles" (a.k.a. your bill will be over $300) I asked if they would be able to follow Honda's scheduled maintenance of an oil change/inspection, but they would not. They insisted that I needed to pay over $300 for a full service. I have little to no trust in the people that have been at the shop. Fish be cray, fish fillet. *Note: The manager on duty that was there for my flat rear tire review was Caucasian and was not there for either of these incidents.* read more

Nothing but more problems when I went to get help from Long Beach Motorcycle repair. I brought a bike in and was told it was a 3k job I paid for the work problems(gas getting into exhaust and making white smoke was the main one) I waited almost a year and they couldn't fix my bike I would keep getting my bike back and the same issues would appear seats would go missing new problems appear as well! It's very poorly managed and bad communication between the staff. Nobody knows what is going on with the bike or has an update. It's been nothing but a headache and my whole journey and money with This Shop is just a waste and a headache.I hate a shop that can't fix what they said they could and steal all my money and leave me with a broken bike. I brought my 1970 CB100 to this shop. .. And they seemed pretty busy. After a minute. .. I spoke to the manger and told him about my situation with my idle. I had done a little research, and asked for a carburetor cleaning. I dropped it off, and asked them to call me if they needed anything else. Within a couple of days I came in and my bike was waiting for me outside. I payed for my service, and started her up. She purred like a brand new kitten. It has not stalled since the service. They have well trained professionals that specifically focus on Honda, Suzuki, and Harley. That's what made me feel comfortable leaving my bike there. Not only that, but the atmosphere in the shop is well disposed. A couple of friends that love motorcycles so much that they made their passion into a profession. read more

This isn't the first time my motorcycle got fucked up at this shop. The first time when they returned my motorcycle it suddenly has a scratch on it. I take care of my motorcycle well and it was just weird and I blew it off. Then I return a second (I had a feeling I should of just looked for someone more trustworthy.) These jerks can't even change grips without BRAKING MY SIGNAL SWITCH! When I receive my motorcycle yet again FOR ONE JOB I noticed that my signal switch felt off. I went to a different dealer and they let me know that whoever did the previous job broke the signal switch. What pisses me off!!! I paid for getting something switched out and these idiots can't even do that! How the fuck do you brake a signal switch!?!? Motorcycles aren't cheap. They cost 100 to 500 plus just to repair anything on a motorcycle. I'm never coming back. That was the last straw. You are better off looking somewhere to get your repairs done because I wouldn't recommend them as since you'll get one thing repaired but then they will brake something else in the process. read more

Came in to Long Beach Motorcycle Repair to get new front and rear tires mounted and balanced on my Harley. Not only did they have the best price, they had the best customer service. I read through all their reviews before calling in, and came to the conclusion that the people who wrote negative reviews were simply rude, impatient customers. Israel, the manager, was very welcoming and answered any questions I had. The mechanics in the shop were also very nice, something which I find to be rare in most shops. I dropped my bike off in the morning before they got swamped with others. The work was done in a prompt and timely fashion, and to top it all off they washed my bike down so it looked brand new when I picked it up! Needed my rear tire and front wheel bearings removed so I thought I'd give this shop a try since they're local. They were attentive enough to notice I had a snapped allen key in one of my rotor bolts and were able to get it off! If you've run into this issue before you know how much of a pain it is to fix, I was about to tack weld it! Wesos and team were super cool about it and didn't even upcharge me for the work. I've lived in the area for years and have been riding/working on bikes even longer, not sure why I haven't stopped by sooner. These guys were super cool about it. I can't speak to all the negative reviews as I work on my own bike and just get tire stuff done, but all I would say is educate yourselves y'all. Every bike is different, has their quirks, and who the hell knows what the previous owner did. The better you educate yourself about your bike the better experience you can have with this business and any other shop for that matter. But if you don't got that type of patience and you have all the money in the world, go to a specialist for your bike make/model or a stealership. read more

Alright just want to start off by telling y'all what was wrong with my bike in the first place. The biggest thing was the tail light, id had taken the bike to a different mechanic at first and they had informed me that the LED light was out, they were about to charge 100 for the light and 100 for the work.. immediately I took my bike out of the shop and headed to M&C, they fixed the problem with an awesome prize, didn't need to replace the light. Not only that but they placed a new chain and sprocket for a great deal! These guys really know about bikes and where really supportive and helpful. They even gave me some advice on how to repair the master brake cylinder and replacing the brake/clutch levers. Guys are legit. Definitely making this shop my go to! read more

Just bought a Hondas scooter and it died on me...I pushed it here since I was close by....4 days later it is finally ready and they "just tightened up something that was loose" Then they guy in a wheelchair made a call and then it honestly felt like he was making up a number and seeing if I would pay it.... Charges me $100 for what was probably 1 minute of work AND OF COURSE IT DIES AGAIN 2 DAYS LATER!! I take it to a mechanic near my work and he tells me of course it needs a new battery.... I've gone here several times over the last year to service two different motorcycles. They always do a fantastic job, very thorough and accommodate my schedule. I increased their rating to the fifth star because they've been so consistent with their service. Outstanding, and Israel is focused on customer service and will do a great job talking through any modifications if you are ever interested. Wasn't going to write a review but saw that this business (owner / manager) is still extorting bikers, I brought my bike in about a year ago he said he would fix the rectifier but he basically had his assistant put electrical tape around the external wiring and charged me 300.00 dollars, the wires basically melted while I was riding on the freeway (dangerously breaking down on the freeway) leaving me to get towed back from San Clemente to Long Beach, when I went back for my refund I explained to him what happened and demanded a refund back, he knew they were responsible because he offered my full refund back, for some reason I felt sorry for the assistant who seemed nice it's just that he didn't really know about how to fix this issue not his fault, so I only took back half of my 300.00, but I see the reviews and it appears he's still scamming people for even more and getting away with it, and probably didn't even pay the guy who worked on my bike when they scammed me, the manager / owner didn't appear to be remorseful or apologetic what so ever, except for the partial refund, DO NOT GO TO THIS REPAIR SHOP, if you value your safety, others safety around you on the road and your bike, it could be a fatal decision. There have been many complaints about this business it's odd that Long Beach law enforcement has not cited this establishment for criminal fraud... read more

IF YOU OWN A SCOOTER, DO NOT COME HERE!! DO NOT! DO NOT! DO NOT! DO NOT! DO NOT! I really wanted to make this shop my go to for my scooter repair. Everything started out great. Customer service was awesome. The guy who answered my phone call asking if they repaired scooters was so kind and nice. Told me they would work on it, just bring it over. I dropped it off and the guy was still nice. Still so very helpful. I told him I just needed my right brake checked out and my rear tail lights reconnected, which was an easy fix bc I've done it before. Just didn't have the right tools to finish it completely. He took my information, I gave him the keys and away I went. A few days went by still no call. I called them 2 days later to see the status of my scooter and was told "you're the next one!" Ok. No word back. A few days later I call, "oh ya, your still the next one." Over a wk later my scooter was still in the same spot on the lot. I called and again, "you're the next one." Over a wk later and I'm still the "next one"? I told this guy this was going to be my main transportation and I'll need it ASAP. After calling several times, finally the call the last minute on the last day I was giving them to tell me it was ready. I arrived and instantly he wanted me to pay for the job. Not even going over exactly what they did for me before having me pay so I can see what kind of job they did. I being the stupid one, I paid trusting that since it took them so long to fix it, it would actually bc done right. I ask him to show me what they did, he briefly went over it. I said ok kewl. As I drove away i noticed that the brake was not bled properly. The handle pretty much has to be "pumped" in order for it to stop. That means they didn't get all the air out of the line or didn't bleed the brakes properly from the cylinder down by the caliper on the wheel. I also smelled gas, stopped, pulled over and noticed that someone had dropped my scooter on the left side. The gas smell was mostly likely from it leaking when it was on the ground. There were also damages done to the left side by the kickstand. Then as I started driving I noticed a burning plastic smell. The duct tape that showed the guy prior to the repair that I wanted done properly that the previous owners had used to hold up the wires near the connectors had been tucked up and wasn't fixed at all. It had dropped down on my exhaust while I was riding it. I then take my scooter back pointing out the work I paid for was not actually complete at all. The guy, who I'm assuming is either the manager or the owner then tells me, "this is why we don't work on scooters, because scooter people are not all there!" EXCUSE ME? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME? You mean to tell me I'm "not all there" bc you didn't complete the job properly that I paid you $250 for? I paid you $250 for you to do a shitty half ass job and to bleed my brakes of which weren't done right and took you over a week to complete. The guy tells me "lady you're rude" RUDE? B*TCH! You just did a crappy job and expect ppl to just let it be. I showed him the duct tape that was next to the connectors and he said, "that's not the job you wanted us to fix." EXCUSE ME? That whole wiring system is the lighting system. You do this for a living, you should know this. You mean to tell me you don't have integrity enough for your business to do sh*t right? You're going to just leave half of the wiring like Sh*t? NO! YOU WONT! $250 for labor is what I paid for for literally 30 mins worth of work tops. I took it here bc I have 3 jobs and don't have the time or the place to work on my scooter myself. I don't give a F whether it's Chinese or not. ALL THE PARTS ARE MADE IN CHINA! That's no excuse!! Don't work on scooters if you're going to over charge and do sh*t half ass. Before going here, do yourself a favor DONT! Go somewhere else. Brought in my beautiful Intruder for a clutch master cylinder & charge up the battery, they found a bad water pump which makes sense & replaced all the parts and added a new battery @ no cost.
