Catio that changed my house and my life…read more Last June I had Conroe Awning and Screen install the screened in Catio in my back yard. It was a big purchase to me and I picked Conroe Awning and Screen out of 7 other quotes because Luis listened to what I was looking for most. I wanted a place where I could bring my cats outside and not be attacked by weather or bugs. He said this was possible with a foam insulated roof and pet screening. There was a similar design style I liked my neighbor had and he knew he could match it. Then I mentioned about future proofing it with electrical and he even worked that into the mix. After I signed the quote the wait was tough for the factory to create the materials but once the materials were in the build and install was only 1 day! It was crazy. The installers were organized and helpful throughout the process. Picking and choosing height of the kick boards, ceiling, and where the screens should end were all decided upon before the install began. The installers had some great advice here too like leaving some lips for rain drift and not pushing the screen all the way to the roofs end. I used the Catio that night and have been using my back yard more than I ever have. My cats love it too and will wait by my back door at times wanting to go outside to watch birds. The pet screening on the Catio also keeps animals out. I have a few squirrels using it as a vertical highway now but at least they are not coming inside. If you are considering an awning, screening, or catio, Conroe Awning definitely has the best price and your best interest in mind.

Two of the companies did not bother to come out opting instead to do the quote over zoom which was generally terrible. I asked them about shutters and they immediately shut me down saying they were too expensive. When I contacted HWB, Bryan responded right away and came out. I was having a lot of work done at the house when he came but he was patient and took his time showing me options and making recommendations. When I asked about shutters he explained the pros and cons and had actual samples ao I could see how they would look on my windows. He took measurements of all the windows and advised me what would and would not work. Bryan was personable and knowledgeable. He was patient as we weighed our options and answered our emailed questions quickly. The prices were reasonable and he gave me hope when we found out many of our windows were now super shallow. The installer came on time, was efficient and super nice. They explained how to care for the shutters and that they had a life time warranty. I am so happy with this purchase and recommend this company.

BUYER BEWARE! Shelly started out great, but things went downhill quickly after the first mistake…read morewith the installation of my whole house shutter project (poor measurements in the manufacturing process). This was resolved. Unfortunately, the second mistake which involved Shelly's installer using my dryer (brand new, delivered and installed the day before) as a step ladder during installation in the laundry room, causing 2 noticeable dents is where integrity plummeted. She returned to my home 5 minutes after the installer left and was just as disappointed as I was, verified the damage, took photos, and assured me that both she and her installer had insurance for these types of mishaps. She even asked me to send her the receipts from my purchase, which I did before she left. After 4 days of being ghosted, I was able get in contact with Shelly and she offered absolutely no resolution except, "What do you want me to do? No one saw my installer do it. I can't see the dents in my photos, how do I know you didn't do it?" A complete 180 degree turnaround from the time of the incident. Shelly hasn't been in business long enough to understand how to handle problems with honesty and integrity. The Golden Rule is to always take care of the customer. A simple dent removal service offering would have sufficed.
