Can't speak much on the staff bc we barely interacted with them, they seemed mostly unbothered and nonchalant. We rent a screened shelter for 2 nights, Fri - Sunday. We actually got the last open shelter for the weekend, so we got lucky! We stayed in section 9. Very pretty area. Most of our fellow campers were courteous, although on our first night we heard music blaring from another part of section 9. For us to be able to hear it from where we were, they must have been LOUD so I can only imagine how their actual neighbors felt. And even though quiet hours are at 10, this music went on until probably around 11:30ish range. I also heard screaming and very loud laughing. Sounded like teenagers maybe. Remember people.... We all came out here to enjoy nature. Be courteous if you're sharing the space with other campers. Leave no trace ALSO includes noise pollution. It's ok to play some music and have a good time - I know I did! But I kept my music very low, and made sure to keep my voice down or at least not at such a volume that I could be heard across the camp ground. Anyway aside from that we had a wonderful time. The shelter was clean, the surrounding area was free of litter. We hiked, swam, made campsites, cooked, played games, rested in the grass, and had a grand time. I'd have to put this park up there on my list of top 5 parks. It's has everything! It definitely gave me *summer camp* vibes. The only thing I probably wouldn't recommend is the boat rentals. They are quite pricey. If you can swing it, bring your own!

What's really great about Tyler State Park is that it is not too far off of I-20 and the heart of downtown Tyler. It's actually kind of mesmerizing how close this preserved state park is from the city and how many people don't take that quick drive on a spring day. There's plenty of hiking to do on the almost one thousand acres of land. My girlfriend and I hiked the B Loop hiking trail, which is a little over 3 miles and was a very easy adventure for us. I wanted us to do more, but our legs were tired, so we called it there. Instead, we went to the Northside Day-Use Area to get our feet in the water and enjoy the view of the lake. Overall, it's a really fantastic park and I hope to return to do all A through D on the hiking trail. RIYL: Adventuring through the trees

Places like this are exactly what you make of them, and for me, it was exactly what I needed…read more After months of being buried in work and feeling worn down by all the noise in the world, I booked a 4-night, 5-day stay to unplug, reset, and just breathe. This was my first visit, so I can only speak from my own experience, but I left feeling refreshed. If you're a nature lover, you'll probably fall in love with this place. There are beautiful ponds, towering trees, plenty of birds, and gorgeous scenery everywhere you look. I visited in July, and despite the humidity, I was pleasantly surprised by the almost complete lack of mosquitoes. One thing to know: the atmosphere depends heavily on the weather. My first two days were rainy, so there were only a handful of guests. Personally, I loved it because I was looking for peace and quiet. If you're hoping for a livelier social scene, check the forecast before booking. From my experience, weekdays are generally slower, while weekends are where the energy picks up. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and had excellent A/C--which you'll definitely appreciate in the summer. Service deserves a special shoutout. The owners and staff were incredibly responsive; anything I needed (within reason) was just a text away and handled quickly. My accommodations included a small cooking range, but the cookware was fairly minimal. The café kitchen was happy to provide extra items when needed, but I'd recommend sticking to simple one-pot meals. The mini fridge also fills up quickly, so pack accordingly. If you're offered a tour of the property, **take it.** I expected a quick walkthrough, but it ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. It was informative, interactive, and gave me a much greater appreciation for the property and its history. Just remember your sunscreen and something to drink. As for the crowd, the vibe is refreshingly body-positive and welcoming. If you're expecting a glamorous **Miami South Beach** runway, this probably isn't your scene--and that's exactly the charm. The people I met were genuine, friendly, and there to reconnect with themselves, nature, and, if the opportunity arose, other like-minded guests. A few practical tips: * Bring your own toiletries--they aren't provided. * Complimentary filtered water is available on tap. * The café is fantastic. The food was genuinely delicious, but it's only open on weekends, so plan ahead if you're visiting during the week. * Nearby towns aren't far away, but delivery options are limited and can get expensive. * Wi-Fi is only available around the common areas, although cell service was surprisingly reliable. * Bring comfortable shoes if you plan to explore beyond the pool deck. * There are complimentary canoes available for the main pond, which made for a relaxing afternoon. One piece of personal advice: don't come trying to impress anyone. Come with an open mind, an open heart, and be unapologetically yourself. That's when this place really shines. One thing worth mentioning for first-time visitors: compared to another clothing-optional resort I've stayed at, special activities are expected to remain discreet and respectful of others. Considering the property spans around 100 acres, that's easy enough to do and helps maintain the relaxed atmosphere. I would advise providing a mirror at least in the room since there isn't a bathroom. Also, think about printing out a visual map of the property so people can explore on their own and find their way back easier (I can do this for you if you like). The dock at the lake/pond was beautiful and people were fishing and kayaking. All in all a nice little excursion out of the city with "family"!

If you had a Mother's Day or Mom's birthday to buy flowers, for it was a big deal to give her Tyler roses. If you were sweet other girl at school, it was also a big deal, if you not only gave her roses, but roses directly from Tyler. I had always wanted to see this Rose capital of the world. It was an easy day trip from Dallas and gave me the opportunity to see this Ground Zero from some thing that has a strong memory for me growing up. The gardens were beautiful, and when the breeze was just right, the fragrance was amazing. But I have to admit I was a little disappointed that it was not like our Arboretum, Or something like that. Spent a couple of days camping at Trevor Reese-Jones Boy Scout camp and while I love camping, can't say the same about the weather! But if you're going to have to camp outdoors, you can't beat this place for the sheer beauty of the placid lake and beautiful east Texas trees. This place is very well tended with clean restroom and shower facilities and the campsites are pristine. If you're lucky, you may wake up to geese flying across the water as your morning alarm clock. If you're not so lucky, you may be up for hours listening to rowdy boy scouts settling down for the evening!

The Safari starts off with the deers and it moves up to llamas and moves up to some of the bigger animals. It was such a great experience. Lots of screams and laughter. There are enough animals for the young ones to enjoy and feed. We are definitely going back. It is a great activity for family and friends with a wide age range that would enjoy it! I am located in Plano so it is a drive but it would be a great event to do for the day and find some cute little restaurants out there to end the day.
