THIS PLACE WAS AWESOME!!!! Came here with a college ministry group and did not expect for them to have so much to do. We went in February so unfortunately we could not do any of the water sports. however, the things we could do were great. Zip lining, giant swing, ropes course, archery, games, a giant maze, everything. I definitely have to go back during the summer so I can experience the blob and canoeing. The camp site was very clean and even though we were in the middle of the woods we felt safe. The cabins we stayed in were pretty average. Bunk beds, 2 showers and 3 toilet stalls; also kept clean. The workers who were over the activities were very enthusiastic and fun. The food was DELICIOUS! Again, I unfortunately was not able to experience the breakfast but the lunch was off the chain! All of the meals I did try had me hankering for more. The cafeteria was spacious and nice. They have a nice main building great for conventions and classes and other things. They also have free wifi in the main building. Next to that is a gym that offers sports equipment and games. Really the only gripe about this place is how hard it is to find at night. They need some lit signs or something because we got lost going in. Other than that, everything was perfect. The cabins are great, amenities are great and the site is clean and pretty. Definitely come stay here!

The best camp for school groups, retreats, and summer camp! They are intentional, relational, and gospel centered.

Cleans and fun. We took our fifth graders recently and had a blast. I recommend going here to…read moreschool or church camp. And the food was outstanding. Just wish they didn't serve so much so food because it all gets wasted.

Honest review of Camp Allaso: Cabins were fine, comfortable…read moreenough. Bathrooms, need attention, we had a huge glob of hair from the previous campers on our shower wall, that was enough to gross anyone out. The bathroom also did not smell clean, they need to be disinfected. Food: Disgusting, the eggs appeared to either be made from a box or previously made and just reheated. All of the other food is meant for 5 year old children (chicken nuggets and pizza), not kids getting ready to go into Junior High School and parents that have been physically working all day. We also had several children with special cultural diets, however the camp completely ignored it. One child had to eat a hamburger bun with nothing in it. Again this child's parent paid over $300 for 2 nights, no excuse. For Over $300 for 2 nights, the food needs to be better. This is unacceptable. Activities for the children: Kevin, Mike and Rachel were the absolute best, they clearly love children and enjoy their jobs. Several of the other instructors were burnt out and had very little patience (and clearly didn't enjoy children). Pat, the person that speaks on stage, needs a vacation. She is a GRUMP off of the stage. She is forgetting the people visiting are PAYING guests, which is how this place stays open. Most of the staff here expects for the Chaperones to do the heavy lifting. Truly, they provide the infrastructure, but the chaperones do the work. They will ask you to put their supplies away etc..

This is a really nice facility. I came here for a free Tai Chi class that was offered as part of…read morethe Healthier Texas Challenge. The class was amazing! The instructor was a great communicator and demonstrated the steps in the simplest form making it easy for a beginner like me to follow along. I was actually sore the next day! The facility is quite large and offers a variety of services. We were in a large room with tall floor to ceiling windows that faces the park. It was nice to be able to see outside and enjoy the greenery. However, this also meant that the instructor was backlit. She did not turn on the lights in the room. This was okay for me, but it probably would have been better if she has turned on the lights so that we could see her better. In the hallway, there were a lot of paintings on display and they were actually for sale. They highlighted local artists and several of their works. The paintings were priced around $250. It is very reasonable considering the cost of canvas, paint, frame, and the creativity and labor that goes into the work. The front desk staff were helpful. I stopped by there first, and one woman staff member was kind enough to walk me to the room where my class took place. The gym has several of these large rental room spaces, but it also has a gym with treadmills, ellipticals, free weights, and machines The City of Richardson allows access to this facility and Heights located in opposite sides of Hey 75 for an annual fee of $70 to residents, even less if you are a senior. You can also get a membership if you aren't a resident of the city. It costs a few dollars more. It's a great deal since most commercial gyms cost $100 a month compared to the price here for an entire year! The hours change, so it is best to check the web or call the main number. It's usually open until 10pm on weeknights, excluding Fridays, but closes earlier on the weekends.

These blue bags are how the city picks up recycling at our curb once a week. I had such a letter and needed to get some blue bags. They are fairly inexpensive to buy if you don't happen to have a letter. The woman at the counter was so pleasant and cheerful! Richardson is a great city to live in. We are lucky to have such great city services: trash pickup twice per week and recycling pickup once per week. Also a Babic- Brush and Bulky Item Collection can be scheduled for larger bulky trash items (furniture, old appliances, etc) weighing over 50 pounds, brush and tree trimmings, etc. The pickup day is the same as your recycling day. This varies depending on where you live within the city. You can go to the city website www.cor.net for more information or to schedule your bulky pickup. There is also a phone app "My Richardson" where you can also schedule through. So convenient and easy!
