The nice gentleman gave me socks and I didn't need to pay -so nice of him because my kiddo was tired in 20 min!! Plenty of trampolines, 2 basket ball hoops, and dodge ball. It was the most fun! Honest review of Camp Allaso: Cabins were fine, comfortable…read moreenough. Bathrooms, need attention, we had a huge glob of hair from the previous campers on our shower wall, that was enough to gross anyone out. The bathroom also did not smell clean, they need to be disinfected. Food: Disgusting, the eggs appeared to either be made from a box or previously made and just reheated. All of the other food is meant for 5 year old children (chicken nuggets and pizza), not kids getting ready to go into Junior High School and parents that have been physically working all day. We also had several children with special cultural diets, however the camp completely ignored it. One child had to eat a hamburger bun with nothing in it. Again this child's parent paid over $300 for 2 nights, no excuse. For Over $300 for 2 nights, the food needs to be better. This is unacceptable. Activities for the children: Kevin, Mike and Rachel were the absolute best, they clearly love children and enjoy their jobs. Several of the other instructors were burnt out and had very little patience (and clearly didn't enjoy children). Pat, the person that speaks on stage, needs a vacation. She is a GRUMP off of the stage. She is forgetting the people visiting are PAYING guests, which is how this place stays open. Most of the staff here expects for the Chaperones to do the heavy lifting. Truly, they provide the infrastructure, but the chaperones do the work. They will ask you to put their supplies away etc..

Kids were running, yes I wrote running, out on the floor chasing each other, playing tag, taking each other's hats or belongings and playing keep away. They would dodge in and out of people who were wearing skates. The kids would skate in the wrong direction and go head on with others, strangers included. Kids would be wrestling with each other, some even had skates on. There were no employees monitoring the rink floor. Someone in the snack bar would occasionally announce on the intercom to "stop running on the floor". That obviously worked so well. All that chaos aside, the music was so boring. Slow, boring country songs. When we made a song request of a clean pop song, the employee just appeared annoyed. Our request hadn't been played. The chaos became too much and we left, with a refund. I truly hope the owner takes our concerns under advisement and makes some changes because their business is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

This small zoo allows you to get up close and personal with lots of cool animals and reptiles. The…read morebaby animal room was the best part and well worth the extra $5. Definitely a hit with the kiddo! We took our 6yo daughter on a Sunday afternoon and she loved it. We saw alligators, capybaras, all sorts of weird fowl, goats, monkeys, a pig, an emu, some zebras (they were far off in an area that wasn't accessible), bears, baboons, roosters, a donkey, a miniature pony, peacocks, and tortoises. Probably the coolest thing outside the baby animal room was the alligator feeding. One of the handlers came out with a bucket of raw chicken and some gator knowledge, and we stood just feet away as these massive gators hissed and jumped and came up out of the water to eat. It was so awesome! In addition to the animals, there was also a small playground with ropes to swing on and climb. On our way out we stopped in the baby animal area and got to hold ferrets, a bearded dragon, two snakes, a baby coati, and a baby alligator. There was also a sweet baby muntjac deer you could pet (but not hold). We took a lot of really fun pictures. It was a great way to end the visit. The only drawback is that the grounds don't seem well-maintained and need mowing and other work. The barns were really dirty and covered in cobwebs. There were giant tortoise turds on the walkway. One of the feeding tubes for the bears was broken. You can tell the place is in need of some repairs. I'm sure it's because all their profits go to the animals and not the facilities. It didn't prevent us from having a great time and we would definitely visit again!
