This place is unbelievably nice. The only thing nicer than the club is the staff! We were greeted first thing in the morning with hot coffee and all the information needed to have a safe and fun hunt. Our guide and his dog were exceptional. He was very patient and knowledgeable about the property. The owner, Sean, was a true gentleman and treated us like we were family. He went out of his way to include my 9 year old son in all of the activities. The property is spectacular - the backdrop of Mt Whitney is amazing. The food was wonderful and a great way to end the morning hunt. Will definitely be going back. - Matt R

Invited by a friend for pheasant hunting after many years of just Dove, Quail, and Chuckar. The Lone Pine Pheasant Club did not disappoint, coming back with 87% of my birds. Well kept grounds with perfect habitats for pheasant and beautiful scenery. What better place to hunt than along the snow capped Sierra Nevada's and a view of Mt Whitney. Mid hunt the staff comes out to collect birds to lighten your load and there's a piping hot lunch served in the cabin when you're done. Extra points on the pheasant pot pie, pheasant enchiladas, biscuits, and apple pie. Pheasants can be traded for pot pies (with a minimal fee) and processing of the birds are professionally done with a Fish & Game Seal to be brought home, so don't forget your cooler and ice. Friendly staff, perfect habitats, amazing scenery, and lots of birds.

Being able to relax in the clubhouse with food and drinks after the hunt was a great way to wrap up the morning.

But they have great spin instructor who teaches on Tues AM class. Forgot her name but she kicked my ass! She teaches like she's outdoor cycling and possibly mountain biking. With the high altitude and just her style, and being 1hr n 15 mins of great cardio session. They have various rooms that are divided into cardio rooms and weight rooms. Also has upstairs with various classes - dance for kids, martial arts and Pilates room. They also have a spa that you can take some R&R. Looks a bit pricy for mountain area.., did not try it out. They have women's and men's jacuzzi in the locker room or a co-ed bigger Jacuzzi, and a pool. All in all, it's pretty good spot if you are in the mountains and need some workout time. Tip: they have trampolines for kids which you can drop off your child for 2hrs. I will have to say, it does get a bit wild in there with older kids. They do have an attendee there but it's just 1 or 2 adult young guys that are just physically there and not paying any attention what's so ever. The kids were getting very rowdy and various kids were getting hurt and they were just focus on their cell phones, they could care less. My kid got hurt but you sign a waiver which gets the club out of any liabilities.... Take and leave your kids at your own risk.

I have attended this hunt since i was a small boy, this upcoming season will be my 19th anniversary…read moreand at the moment I am 24. I told fellow outdoorsman i have met at the local pub or in the field I would write a review and post it to bring in the business and keep this hunt going. When i was younger around 10 or so, I wrote a letter to the Pixley Lions Club explaining how much I loved this event, that it was my favorite holiday. I wasnt old enough to hunt yet either. When the season finally rolled around I remember finsihing baseball practice and jumping into my Pa's big lifted Dodge with our new trailer behind it and going nuts driving up the 5 to finally reach my favorite place in the world. From dreaming about it so much everyone inside the Lions Club headquarters looked familiar. I remember getting a map for my Dad when the lady selling the tickets behind me called my name. I turned around a bit confused, I saw my picture on the wall of my little sister and I next to my letter when she slid a hat across the old fiber board table. She said "this is for you honey". I picked up my custom embroidered hat and noticed my name on the back and held it for a new moments. I remember wanting to cry. That was the best season we had ever had. Last year, 2011, i was greeted by that same woman. A bit older now but still on a class level of beauty. She didnt remember me but she was just as nice as the day i met her 14 years ago. She told my father and I that her husband and her had started the Pixley Hunt some decades before and absolutely loved benefiting the community and satisfying customers. This year Im going to wear my hat that is my lucky hat and never leaves my sight. Im going to remind her who I am and how much i love the yearly anticipation and appreciate the kindness and hospitality we have recieved every year. This hunt will fill the gap in your outdoorsman soul. It is what you put into it, theres no such thing as an easy hunt, The folks from Pixley are helpful and kind. I will never miss this hunt for the rest of my time here on Earth. Its a beautiful place where my father and I share some of our greatest memories with eachother and friends.

(Not sure of schedule) but they were very accommodating with our large crowd! I will definitely come back for other Zumba events or classes. This location is new and clean!
