The hands-on portion is near the end of the class when you get to help stretch/aerate the candy by folding it and then form 3 lollipops of your own. Would recommend the class for 5 year olds and older (adults enjoyed it too!). Definitely a unique experience and a fun activity in the heart of Houston. Be sure to check out their pre-made candy selection before/after the class - so many great flavors! Parking - private lot or street

The staff was incredibly friendly and patient, guiding us through the entire process. We made lollipops, and I have to say--the kneading and shaping of the candy was surprisingly therapeutic! It was such a fun, hands-on experience. It is a little on the expensive side, but once you see the effort and creativity involved, you can understand why. Overall, it's a great spot for a group date or if you're looking to try something different while you're out and about. Definitely a memorable experience!

The server was very kind, and everything looked really good. I got the rainbow cotton Candy cup. The cup was full, but when I got home, the cotton Candy shrunk. When I tasted it, it was not good. It tasted like a dye of color, bitter, and it was more firm than soft like normal cotton Candy. I want to try some of the other items they have, but now I'm a bit afraid to try it.

Rocket Fizz: 5 Stars to Flavor Town!…read more Rating: (5/5) Rocket Fizz is a total gem and stands out from other novelty stores. I'm giving it 5 stars and here's why: I've been to several novelty candy and soda shops and Rocket Fizz is the only one that truly has a more diverse and actually unique selection. It's not just about quantity, it's about the quality of quirkiness. You walk in and immediately feel like a kid in a candy store, but one that's been curated by someone with a wonderfully weird sense of humor and taste. My personal favorites were the bubble gum and sour raspberry soda - I never knew I needed it but I loved it! It was a surprisingly good and memorable drink that sums up the store's adventurous spirit. Beyond my soda find, the aisles are packed with retro candies, international treats, gag gifts and so many other weird soda flavors you'll feel overwhelmed - in the best way possible! If you want a shopping experience that's not ordinary, full of surprises and unique finds, Rocket Fizz is a must visit. Get ready to have your taste buds - and your sense of wonder - thoroughly entertained!

I was getting the paint can filled with candy which should be about $25. She weighed it (which is only done with the bags) and charged me for the empty can which came out to nearly $40 when the sign said filled bucket is $25. When I brought her the sign to show her what the written price of it she rolled her eyes, sorry I asked you to do your job correctly. I'd also purchased the filled paint can here before and it was never anything close to $40, always $25. She was also on her talking on her personal phone the entire time with headphones in. As someone that also works in a quieter retail space I feel this is still rude and unacceptable. When I got the receipt she still didn't ring it up right and just charged me for 2 empty cans but it was closer to the correct cost so I didn't feel like correcting it. Place is clean and nice but could use to train or at least hire better employees or have proper signage for prices.

I have never been to England, but my friend, British is he, had let me try this elderflower cordial and when I tried it, I immediately became a fan and now I find myself shopping here at least once a month. Parking is somewhat limited. Shop is on a shopping strip shared with UPS store and optometrist. I've been fortunate to get parking on my visits. But you can park around in the Rice Village area and make a day of it to walk around and dine and shop. The place is cozy and it feels like you're in someone's home with all the collectibles, groceries, tea sets and decor. You can find everything from tea, trinkets, sweets and fine tea sets to Guinness and Manchester United collectibles. If you love Paddington, you'll find a nice selection of official Paddington items too. The staff is friendly, and helpful. Even though I have never been to England, the shop is reminiscent to what I've seen on tv and hopefully I get my self to experience it someday soon. Until then, I'll continue to enjoy the delights that British Isles provides me with.

I came here to get pralines (Texas-y and easily distributable) to bring as a souvenir to Japan,…read morebecause despite it being a Tex-Mex thing, it's surprisingly difficult to find them cheaply in semi-bulk (~25 people), especially at the last minute. The building is a part of their factory, so it's in a slightly industrial area. It's a side street off of Brittmoore Road, after which you go to the back left where there should be a gate and sign, and then it's at the very end of the building that's in there. It's pretty hidden and their Facebook (or whoever took their name and spammed it like crazy) is super weird and ambiguous (said it was closed down and the last reviews have been from a year ago), so I'm writing the directions down just because it bothered me--Google was unhelpful and Waze brought me to Wycliffe Dr. instead of Brittmoore Rd. since it's technically in the middle of the two streets on the map. Anyhoo, the worker was really helpful. I came in and she gave me glazed pecans to try without even asking, which was great. And when I asked her about what to bring to Japan for a group of ~25 people, she told me pralines were actually much too sweet to Japanese people (apparently they get a lot of Japanese tourists, but that's definitely a common complaint of American sweets), but they tend to love the glazed pecans she had given me a sample of. It looks like it's their specialty because compared to the other products, there's a lot more variety of fancy containers, which looks a lot nicer than if I just bought some bags of pecans at a normal market. So she talked me out of the pralines and into a 2.5 lb tin of pecans (which I figure will let people who hate them try one without wasting the rest of their 1/25 portion, and those that love them can take more). I'm basically giving this place 5 stars because of her helpfulness--and there fact I seriously could not find nice-looking non-alcoholic, non-meat, non-bulky/heavy, non-joke, semi-durable, semi-cheap, edible Texas-y group souvenirs. Most products and prices are online except the individually wrapped things, which was convenient. There was just so little information about this place that I felt compelled to write a review.
