It's a shame that this place is closing because they things that have always made them great still remain the same - great food, great service and a chill ambiance. Went on a recent Friday and had the Miami heat with their regular fries. As good of a burger as you can get in the city and reasonably priced in a beloved neighborhood, what else could you ask for.

A local gem in the city which will soon close, but worry not, Tobacco Road and their old spot in Wynwood offer nearly the same menu. Don't forget to pair your burgers with their extensive beer collection - carefully curated. I never leave Lokal without having their Kaptain Kush (Mango flavored). And order your fries 50-50 sweet potato-regular mix, a rare thing that Lokal offers! If you modify your burger order a little bit, be careful they don't charge you extra, just check with your server once so that there are no surprises.

This was our third time visiting this location. That says alot. We always eat outside which is great for ambiance and people watching. The service is always top notch and the food is ALWAYS delicious! The burgers are deliciously flavored and the fries, fresh and crispy. The alligator strips are fried to perfection. Not a chewy bit to be found. Love this place! Until next time!

Found this restaurant while driving down US1. Super cute spot with outdoor seating. Perfect place to come lounge with friends. We got the chili and alligator bites as our appetizer, they were both delicious. The Frita by Kush was by far one of the best burgers iv ever had! Perfect balance of sweet and savory by adding guava to it! We ended off our experience by indulging in the LoKal Key Lime Pie and Kush Brownie Sundae. Overall a good experience, service was amazing and they even offer treats for our furry friends! Definitely a place to try out!

If you're a true burger enthusiast, LoKal is an absolute must-visit. Their burgers -- made with the famous Kush-style touch -- are juicy, flavorful, and crafted to perfection. Each one brings something unique to the table, whether it's a bold twist on a classic or a totally unexpected flavor combo that just works. You can really tell these are competition-level burgers -- not your average patty-and-bun. They're stacked with fresh ingredients, cooked exactly right, and bursting with taste in every bite. Every burger I've tried has had its own personality, and honestly, I'd come back just to keep exploring the menu. Pro tip: Come hungry. You'll want to try more than one.

Lokal never disappoints. The burgers are always top-notch -- juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Great variety to choose from, and every one we've tried has been a hit. They also have an awesome beer selection with plenty of local options, which we really appreciate. The vibe is super relaxed, the staff is friendly, and it's just a great spot to kick back and enjoy a solid meal. We always recommend this place to friends -- definitely one of our go-to spots in the area.

$22 Grouper Ruben $14 two beers Food was mediocre. Service was - we wont return. Came with a crew of 8. Sat separately at the bar. Had to ask for a menu, set-up, water refill, beer refill, no check-ins. The bartender wouldn't allow us to seperate the check, even though we had asked to keep it seperate. Because we came in together he said it wasn't possible so we had to split it as a group. After some haranguing we were able to seperate only a total of 4 times. But he added an automatic 20% because we came in together and knew each other. he refused to recognize us as seperate parties even though we sat at the bar. The atmosphere in there is a casual bar n grill. Our type of spot. We would have posted up all weekend there, and dropped some duckets, but not anymore.

The LoKal is a south fl institution- and mostly because it is one of the spots that you can get gator bites and truly feel like you're that close to the Everglades. The vibes inside the LoKal are great and every inch feels nostalgic and authentic to the area. It's always a great spot to come and the food and service are consistently great! The gator bites are nice and crispy and really just taste like a gamier chicken dish -- would definitely recommend. And don't forget to try their burgers, they are juicy flavorful and pack a bundle of different flavors.Their buns come toasted and are extra pillowy. Overall, a great go-to for that divey American meal!

I've been coming to LoKal for quite a few years. The burgers neverrrr disappoint. The staff here is friendly, and the service has always been great. Their selection of beers is always pretty interesting too. This spot is cute and trendy, great for some casual lunch/dinner. This time my boyfriend and I decided to try the Chick Chop Sandwich and the Shrimp bowl with bang bang sauce. The sandwich was tasty, but it had way too much thyme. It overpowered the rest of the sandwich. Fries were delicious, and paired with their homemade honey mustard they're perfection. The shrimp bowl was also pretty good, but I did think the portion was a little small for the price. I don't think I'd order these items again. It's probably best to stick to the burgers, which are in my opinion their staple menu items.

Excellent from start to finish! This spot has been a Coconut Grove gem for years! However, since I'm not a beef eater I never went in until today and bought am I glad. The ambiance, music and vibes were on point. This is the kind of spot where you can just hang out for hours; very chill. The service was great; Richard and the entire team did an amazing job! Now, let's talk about the food. We started with the alligators bites, which is a MUST! Following that, we had the fried pickles and snapper bites (the last two were on the happy hour and that was a great deal)! For our main course, I had the chicken chop sandwich and I added an egg. This only elevated my experience. Everyone else had the beef and they loved it! The mushroom burger was a hit, as was the burger with the guava. I had truffle fries as my side (since each sandwich came with one side) and the remainder of the table had 1/2 sweet potato fries and 1/2 regular fries. We also had dessert; the key lime pie and the guava bread pudding. We thought the key lime pie lacked in the tartness and the guava bread pudding lacked in the guava and tasted more like a bread pudding made with a lot of condensed mild. Despite the dessert falling short, the experience was excellent and I'll certainly be back! Check them out and enjoy!

Just as I remember it! Lokal has been around for ages, which is a sign of a great restaurant in Miami, as so many are going out of business every day. I ordered a chili and it was pretty sizable, and very delicious. You can make it a meal if you are not too hungry. The service is absolutely amazing (Caitlin!). And they offer free dog biscuits (I don't even have a dog but I am impressed!).

A favorite of mine for solo dining, LoKal will forever hold a special place in my heart as I've been coming here since they first opened. Dare say I, they were the first place (at least that I remember) who made burgers cool again. I have to admit though...I'm very predictable when coming here and rarely stray from ordering their classic burger. But I can't help it! They do a classic burger right with all the toppings a classic burger should have. That's not to say that I haven't tried their most popular, which is the Frita by Kush. Also delicious if sweet and savory is your thing! Other favorites of mine include the tomato soup and grilled cheese, and REST IN PEACE, the West Grove Salad whom is no longer with us. On this day, I enjoyed a quiet meal at the bar. It was on a Saturday before the dinner rush and after the lunch one. As usual, the service was great and my waitress did a solid by recommending the Pilsner pictured after I told her I wanted something light but not what they had on draft. This is something I love about LoKal and is always consistent--the staff is able to recommend beers and often let's you sample them too. Overall, LoKal is the place that comes to mind when I think of a delicious burger. The vibe is casual, the staff is nice, the food is tasty. Must try in the grove!

Stopped into Lokal for a quick lunch before my flight. I had the pleasure of having Tati as my waitress and I loved her energy, knowledge of the menu and attentiveness. Tati recommended the Mint lemonade which was superb and so fresh! To eat I had a Bababooey Burger which was mouthwatering. What I also LOVED about Lokal was how dedicated they are to providing high-quality handcrafted burgers and sauces that are all made right in house. Inside there is an entrance to Victoria's Vinos y Vermuteria, a wine and vermouth bar that's also a part of the Kush Hospitality Group.

The place was buzzing wall-to-wall, but despite the crowd, they managed to accommodate our group of 16 with two long tables, which was impressive. Our waitress truly deserves a shoutout. Handling a group our size is no small feat, and she gave it her all to keep things running smoothly. There were a few minor hiccups with our order, but everything was handled quickly and professionally, so no real complaints there. As always, the food at Tap 42 did not disappoint, consistently delicious and worth coming back for. But what really stole the show that day was the music. Drinks took over 10minutes to get to the table, not alcoholic, waters, 1 soda, and 1 lemonade. Over 10minutes. Appetizers eventually came, no utensils, which I asked the hostess for, but the utensils made it AFTER the appetizer were finished and plates taken from the table. We ended up using our hands. Hostess advised she was still "working on getting the silverware" twice. How do you expect us to eat, no napkins, no linens, no silverware? Glasses ran empty, a friend in my party (6) ended up asking the hostess for a refill, which of course took a while as well. Though the restaurant was not busy, the food took forever. When it finally arrived, about half of the food was cold. Service was so slow, we couldn't even get it fixed...the server never came back until she asked if the checks were separate or together. I had a salad with tenders, the salad was nothing short of a bunch of spring mix, very little toppings, and tenders that tasted like they were made hours ago and didn't even bother to reheat. I asked whoever brought the food out for an extra dressing, but she never came back. I sat waiting for the server to switch my food but nothing, she'd walk past avoiding us. When she finally came to the table to ask about the checks, I told her I didn't want the salad, and she looked displeased and just walked away. I guess to have it taken off the check. Nonetheless, save yourself the poor service and eat at Yard House down the street. Menu and service are leads better than this place.

It's our favorite spot for free kareoke, but I do have a few critiques. Food: They do NOT have enough food options. For people who don't eat meat especially. They only have ONE or TWO food trucks outside with only 5 things on the menu. I understand because they're food trucks, that it makes it hard to make suggestions or alterations to things on the menu. Kareoke: Expect to wait. There are a lot of people who sing here, and depending on the DJ, they have a different priority system with the song lists. Last night was actually the worst experience I've ever had here. Never had I ever had an issue after the approximately 3 years I've come here, but last night there was a new DJ . . . I feel bad to complain, but Curtis was really not the best. My Experience Last Night: My two friends and I were in line to put in songs. I was the last behind the two of them. After around 15 minutes my first friend got to sing, then the second, but I was never called. I waited around 25 additional minutes after my friends sang. All the while the DJ got up to sing TWO songs the entire time I was waiting. Even after I walked up to ask about my song, he said "Sorry, just after a certain time I have to prioritize songs." I was so confused because when you haven't sung, your song DOES get prioritized. I was utterly shocked and honestly saddened by this. Normally, the DJ goes up to sing as fillers when there isn't a long line of people waiting to sing, but it seemed like he was actually only prioritizing his own songs to sing instead. They've had much better DJ's than what I experienced last night, and it's very sad to even write this because Lincoln's always has it together. Another thing to note, there is free parking, but you have to be aware of the signs because there are private properties around that WILL tow people's cars. (Using older photos from my time at Lincoln's, because I was not about to take any from last night)
