Apparently I had used incandescent lightbulbs and they often don't make full contact in this type of lamp. So I was charged nothing for the time it took Brass Candle to determine the problem. I was very impressed. The shop keeper could have just kept my lamp for a week or so and charged me to fix a lamp that wasn't even broken. Kudos to Brass Candle for being honest.

The electrician quickly assessed the real issue - a tripped GFI in another room. He kindly explained GFI wiring back in the 90's were all linked (without making us feel silly). The electrician was very professional, knowledgeable and declined to charge us for the visit. (We insisted and paid him $100.) Truly exceptional service. We'll absolutely call Burris Electric again and highly recommend them!!

This store apparently used to carry them but they no longer do. We tried a few different places in fact and these items were not in stock. So alas an online purchase is in order. But despite not finding exactly what we wanted we did find some cool and interesting looking lights to reference and get future ideas for at our home that isn't Happy Light related. So in that regard this stop didn't seem like a waste of time despite no item availability for what we were looking for. We did ask for assistance for what we wanted...and the staff was more than helpful and friendly to assist us with our inquiry.

I have an older house so it could've been anything... Paul was able to squeeze me in towards the end of the day due to a cancellation, so I can tell that he takes care of new customers just as well as existing. He was so communicative and honest with what he was doing, I actually learned a lot! After a couple hours he deemed that the wiring and circuit to the fridge was just fine and that the issue is probably the fridge itself (which is unfortunate, but at least he didn't have to tear my wall apart!). I will say that the fees were a little more than other electricians I saw, but given the quality, communication, and overall great experience, it's well worth it! I will be using Dependable Electric again whenever I have electrical issues!
