It hurt to even give these guys one star. Samuel (owner) will talk the talk. He sounded so…read moreconfident and professional when we spoke to him for the quote. We were impressed and wanted to give him a shot at our whole house, interior paint job. He promised us he could get it done before we moved in (about a week) and that anything we didn't like, he would make sure it was to our liking before leaving. He started by buying the cheapest paint Sherwin Williams offers. It was ProMar 200 - commercial grade paint. After the first day, they asked us what time we wanted them there the next day and we said, 8am. They responded, "Well we live a half hour away." First guy showed up the next day at 9:20. They showed up late other times too. None of them seemed like very experienced painters. Applied tape poorly, so that when it was taken off, lines were not clean at all. Kitchen ceiling had multiple missed areas, making it look worse than before they "painted" it. They had told us they would put up drywall over the wall in a half bath because previous owner had painted over wallpaper, and couldn't be removed without pulling off chunks of drywall. Then in the middle of the job, they decided to just "patch" the areas where wallpaper was peeling. See picture below to see how that turned out. The worst was one night, Samuel left the youngest guy to finish the kitchen area. The kid decided to speed things up and used a sprayer on our drywall. We were left with overspray on ceilings, walls, and kitchen cabinets. We were very upset and called Samuel who promised to show up on Memorial Day weekend to make it right. Said he would bring in a crew of 4 from another job. He showed up with one guy, didn't have the materials to fix the overspray on the cabinets. When we got to the house 5 minutes late (we still weren't moved in yet), he was angry that we were late. When we pointed out that it was only a few minutes and his guys had been late repeatedly, he denied it and said they were leaving because we "disrespected them". Couldn't believe it. They left our house damaged, didn't clean up their messes, and just left. They disrespected our time and property throughout the project, and because we called them out for doing such poor work and being late repeatedly, they were "disrespected." We figured they knew they were in over their heads with all the damage, so they needed a way out. No crew of 4 showed up to "make things right." Seems like they had no intention of bringing anyone in. Just needed an excuse to quit in the middle of the poorly done job. We obviously didn't pay them the balance, but they took us for WAY too much money anyway considering the unfinished work, horrible quality of work that was done, and unprofessional time management. They even took all the cheap paint with them so we couldn't even make corrections ourselves. Ended up getting an amazing guy to help us out and he did great work cleaning up their messes and applying high quality paint. If you are considering using this company for a project, RUN AWAY FAST!!

From the planning with Denise to the counter install to the new flooring, we had exceptional workmanship and service. The guys took on a huge job with removal of our tile flooring and replacing with LVT and it turned out so nice. They worked with us on our vacation dates and came in while we were away and completed the job. Everyone was very accomodating and the result is a gorgeous new kitchen!! Although I was concerned that much of their work, though seemingly well done, was all very similar and somewhat generic (all gray and white), I know that's trendy now, and I figured I'd seek some reassurance that individual (and more creative) tastes could be accommodated. I spoke to the project manager who was responsive enough ... at first. He asked what I was looking for in a contractor and explained the process from design to installation. Everything sounded exactly like what we were looking for. And then ... I asked what the average cost for an en suite bath was. I had already done my research, which revealed that the average cost ranges from $18,000 to $25,000 (according to HomeAdvisor). Because of supply issues, I expected Slabaugh's answer to be a bit higher, but I certainly did not expect the project manager to quote a cost double that! He told me that I could expect to pay just under $60,000! I should also note that this estimate was provided without actually seeing the space. When I expressed surprise by this number, I was NOT provided with any explanation. I wasn't told that supply chain issues had increased the cost by 100% or that they used only top tier materials. There was no explanation about paying subcontractors or difficulty in finding qualified workers. Instead, I could almost hear the shrug over the phone as the project manager said, "Maybe we're not the right fit for you," a comment I found dismissive and condescending." Even so, I suggested that maybe my husband and I could stop by the showroom. I was thinking that perhaps I could get a more satisfactory explanation in person. That's when I found out that's it's only open four days a week until 5 and not at all on weekends. As someone who has a job, I explained that those times didn't work with my schedule. "People work," I said. "What do they do?" He silently shrugged again. "They take the time off." So, if you're looking to spend $20,000 more than you have to, if you want want to be dismissed and condescended to, if you want to adjust your schedule to the company you're hiring, then this might be the company for you. I, on the other hand, found a much more pleasant company with which to work, whose quote (after seeing the space) has come in at between $30,000 and $40,000. The company is still very local and has an amazing showroom. So far, they've been easy to work with and they treat me like I actually matter.

A joke. Called on a Sunday for an estimate on a small repair job. They said they would come take a…read morelook Monday. On Monday they showed up with the wrong sized ladder so they said they'd come back Tuesday. They didn't show up on Tuesday so I called them Wednesday to see what happened. I was told I would receive a call back but never did. Called again on Thursday and same thing, was told I would get a call back and never did. Called again today and have still to receive a call back. Will be taking my business elsewhere.

They were…read morethe middle priced quote, very nice and informative owner/salesman, and overall I am very happy with my roof. However, the crew was very disgruntle, clean up was horrible (nails all over yard, gutters filled with shingles, attic a mess). I was led to believe all cleanup would be provided. It also took them over a year to come out and fix the untrimmed shingles that were over hanging on the roof. I feel if I pay $11,000 + for a new roof, everything should be perfect. So, overall happy with the roof and owner/salesman. George was very professional and knowledgeable. Not to happy with the crew and cleanup. Maybe the job was subcontracted?

Mike Pierce was excellent in creating the design and helping me select materials, colors etc. I am not good at doing that but I know what I like when I see it. Mike was able to understand what I was communicating and bring it to life. John Linder was assigned to do the work. He has a meticulous attention to detail and takes great care in his craftsmanship. He's not the fastest guy around but he will do the job right. In the end I would rather have right than fast. Our bathroom is my favorite room in the house now. It's my own little retreat.
