so sad to leave this review. this place used to be great. they have made some management changes…read moreand this place is horrible. i called about using some artwork that they had of ours for embroidery for special order shirts that i had. the person that does the embroidery came out and looked at shirts. she said no problem. i asked her about the material of the shirts and explained they were very expensive shirts and didnt want to ruin them..she assure me they would be ok..i picked them up, the letter is off centered by over and inch. the chest logo goes into my armpit and the material puckered and looks wrinkled. was told by Vicky Roberts that they should have never done the shirts cause that material doesnt handle any embroidery. they refunded the embroidery but left me with 4 - $90 shirts that are trash...this place will never make it with this new management.

A $20 gift that friends spent good money on! When a shop changes owners I would think a list of outstanding certificates would be in a data base and transferred in the sale of shop! Shop did not change name! I spent over $40 this day! I will NOT buy gift certificates again! I will not shop this quilt shop again! She also keeps a lot of her reptile pets in the back, and so had the opportunity to hold two of her snakes. (But for those who don't like reptiles, don't worry-- you can't see them unless you go in the back room.) Very friendly and knowledgeable overall. Nice selection of yarn fibers, colors, and prices. I've seen some cashmere, cotton, wool, acrylic... probably ~$40 a skein on the more expensive end. (Cashmere is a luxury fiber, after all.) But there's plenty of more cost-effective options for the thrifty crafter. There is also some wool roving for sale-- the braids in the basket near the front run about $25, but I've been able to buy wool by the ounce that she keeps in the back for some very reasonable prices: I've seen $2.50 to $4 an ounce, depending on the breed. Those fibers tend to have a bit of VM to pick out, but nothing unmanageable. There are a couple couches and a table to sit at if you want to hang out and craft. It's a super cozy environment. I'm a happy customer!

They do not offer classes here but the lady working that afternoon was able to suggest another place for lessons. As you can see from the pictures, it's a small shop but carries bolts of fabric in a rainbow of colors, shades, prints and designs. They also sell quilting supplies, patterns, books, thread, notions, etc. Since I'm not a quilter (yet), I have no comparison for the fabric pricing although quilting specialty shops tend to have very quality product made for durability. My purpose in coming here was to drop off a quilt top made by my great-grandmother decades ago and have it finished which is another service they provide. In a few weeks, I can post a picture of the finished product! Again, the person working was great in helping to offer various options and guide my selections since I am a complete novice.
