She doesn't do cookie-cutter and works with the most quality floral stems. Her thoughtful designs will reflect your own taste and style, as well as the theme of the event. And she's super cool and a pleasure to work with!

I've already written a few reviews about wedding vendors from my wedding in Brooklyn. My wedding…read moreday reviews ranged from the highs of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden (cheers!) and the lows of the Brooklyn Sheraton (jeers!). To my chagrin, it's two-and-a-half years after our wedding and I was going through old emails when I found an email exchange with my newlywed bride where we both exchanged rave reviews about Kerry Quade, our wedding florist. I promised my wife that I'd write a review online and well, better late than never. I'm kind of surprised that there isn't already a Yelp listing for her but I'm guessing it's because she gets enough word-of-mouth business that she doesn't need extra publicity. But I hope she doesn't mind that I'll give it to her anyway! My wife loves the color blue, and if she had her way, all the bouquets at the wedding would have been bluer than Violet Beauregard. But Ms. Quade gently worked with her and helped her understand that since everything else at the wedding reception (tablecloths, bridesmaid dresses, ties) would be blue, the flowers should complement them. Long story short, the flowers turned out gorgeously--I don't know how she did it, but the centerpieces, bouquets, and boutonnieres all turned out wonderfully. The bride's bouquet was especially stunning, a bouquet of pretty light-colored roses and orchids with hints of blue tweedia. I think I mentioned in other reviews that the two of us were perhaps the most clueless couple in history, and yet Kerry worked with The Palm House behind the scenes perfectly without either of us even needing to do anything. She even accommodated last minute requests without missing a beat. We decided a few days before the wedding that we wanted a "wish tree" for guests to write and hang their wishes and lo and behold, there on the day of our wedding there was a table with a centerpiece of a birch tree with branches, blank cards, and Sharpies. We asked at the last minute for presentation bouquets for our families, and she delivered. Even without us asking, she created stunning flowers for the bride's hair during the reception. I also appreciated that she was able to work within our budget, which I'm sure was lower than a lot of other people who have their weddings at the Palm House. And yet not once did we feel that we weren't getting all that we paid for and much more.

I can't believe no one ever told me about this place. Always in search of a good if not the best…read moreburger, I decided to give these guys a try when I heard about them. Ordered via DoorDash. What drew me to give them a shot were these cheeseburger egg rolls I saw in an advert. What the heck was that? Well it was an eggroll cut in half that was full of ground beef and cheese and on top there was lettuce, tomato and onions. It came with the side of awesome sauce, which is like spicy thousand island. It is a bizarre concept and remains so even while you're chewing it. But it is absolutely delicious. The burger ordered was called the Food Truck. It was your classic burger with a double smashed patty, lettuce, tomato cheese, pickles, and onions. It was fantastic from the bun to the ingredients. Everything was fresh and fabulously assembled in proper amounts to make a really great burger in every bite. It held up to the leftover test and tasted really good without reheating. Because who has time for that? My friend ordered the Ruben Griller (sorry no pic). It was very good looking on marble rye with a lot of meat. I sensed some cheese and was not sure if there was sauerkraut in the bite that I had, but I found it a little dry weirdly because it had been toasted on the grill and had quite a bit of butter on the bread. Hard to describe, but I could tell that it was a good sandwich. I just might've got my bite off the edge so I will try again another time. My friend enjoyed the sandwich and ate it all in one sitting! Sides: the standard side is garlic fries, which are delicious and also once again fresh ingredients. The garlic seems chopped and not from a jar, I mean, you can tell the difference. You will smell like garlic for a few days. Which is cool though cause it's good for you. The most notable thing about the fries or if you would prefer tater tots is that you can "load" them. This is where someone comes in and sprays them with cheese and sour cream and bacon and green onions and etc., and it blows your mind and your diet. The onion rings are also as amazing as everything else. I particularly like the type of batter they use that is all one unit rather than like Panko that gets everywhere and falls apart. In all this is comfort food, and definitely high calorie (the items I'm reviewing, I don't know about salads, lighter, fare, or anything like that) and will have to be viewed as a once in a while treat if I don't want to have to buy larger pants. If you are looking for something really satisfying and want a good fresh meal that wakes up every single tastebud, I would recommend these guys. I also have to say it feels like the owners themselves made the food, and maybe they did. Either that or they have trained and treated their staff well because their integrity shows in the care they take to prepare and serve really outstanding food. They have a cool website where you can learn about the owners and their vision, and you can also purchase the awesome sauce for your own refrigerator, which I have done!

A good place to go if you have the "munchies."They have a lot of creative options on their menu…read more Also the Buffalo chicken sandwich is the spiciest Buffalo sandwich I've had in Alaska
