I spoke with an employee about flowers not getting delivered to my mom for Mother's Day. Hope called me back the next day explaining the situation (was not their fault or their driver's fault). I told Hope that I'll talk to my mom about what happened and that someone took her flowers. Hope was so generous that she said she will deliver flowers herself to my mom's business as a late Mother's Day gift at no extra cost. This was a situation where Hope didn't need to do that so I really appreciate that she went out of her way to deliver flowers for her. I will continue to buy flowers from them. I used Uptown Blossoms for the first time for my daughters graduation party. The flowers were very high quality and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. My order started out as just a simple bouquet for the graduation ceremony and some sunflowers for the party. When I walked into the shop I saw that they had a selection of beautiful exotic flowers. They were able to put an amazing arrangement together very quickly that was perfect. On the day of the party when I was picking up the sunflowers I realized that I had forgotten a vase for one of the center pieces I was putting together. This is my new go-to spot for flowers in Anchorage. My wife and I went looking for tropical flowers and this shop has an amazing selection. The selection is even better if you arrive there on a Wednesday after their weekly shipment of tropicals comes in. Luckily we did. We had two large arrangements of tropicals made for my mother's funeral a couple weeks back and Uptown Blossoms an outstanding job. They were the only arrangements that we received compliments on and they were exactly what my mom would have wanted. The prices seemed pretty reasonable and the quality was definitely there. The staff members were nice, the delivery charge was fair and I recommend checking them out. read more

Great flower shop. They are super nice and helpful - even to an indecisive customer like myself stumbling through their shop not knowing what I wanted. Once I finally figured out what types of flowers and colors I wanted and my price point, they created a wonderful bouquet for me. Uptown Blossoms specializes in tropical flowers - they have a pretty amazing selection if that is what you are looking for. However, if you are more boring like me, they still have a great selection and are super creative with their arrangements. I have used these guys over the years and they have done well. This year I decided to use them for Valentine's Day and send traditional red roses. The staff did a fine job on the phone and the flowers were delivered in a reasonable amount of time. My issue was the cost and quality of the flowers. I normally would send high style or more exotic arrangements and pay around $75-$80 and get a Really nice vase. This time they got me for over $150 and got very average looking red roses and what looked like a Walmart vase. Very disappointing effort for the special day. Really overcharged me for something that was average at best. I'd consider other options next time. Following this review I did receive an offer to exchange the flowers but at this point it is past Valentine's so I passed on the offer. I still found the price point to be somewhat leveraged for the holiday. read more

ATTENTION ALL BRIDES! If I could leave no stars, believe me I would. I contacted Uptown Blossoms in March of 2017 for an arrangement for bridal portraits in April, as well as an arrangement for my wedding ceremony May 13th. I specifically made these reservations with HOPE. I made my expectations very clear as most brides do, and was constantly assured that they were capable of what I was requesting. I was continuously told the flowers I chose were ALWAYS in season and there would be no issues. I provided a picture for inspiration and went on my way. April 7th I picked up my first arrangement, although it was not exactly as imagined It was relatively close. I did not like that my flowers were sprayed to match the colors vs. having the flowers the actually colors requested but I understood and gave them no complaints. I expected the same quality of arrangement for my ceremony but what I received was UNFORGIVABLE!!!! (photos will be included). Not only was this arrangement small and not worth the 100$ I was quoted (there were approximately 10 poor quality, dying flowers in it), it was BRIGHT PINK AND CORAL! My wedding colors were rose pink and cream, I was told "this was the best they could do". The best you could do to what? Completely disregard anything and everything I requested and literally throw something together for MY WEDDING DAY!? I even called them more than 24 hours prior to the pickup and payment and was assured everything was beautiful and ready to go. If my mom had not been there I would have walked down the isle empty handed however, my mother quickly grabbed 10 white roses and had them bound. If I wanted a white arrangement I could have gone to Walmart, but I trusted this business with my special day and was COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED. I would not recommend them for anyone who is looking for an arrangement better than a grocery store quality, go ANYWHERE else if you can. read more

Out of town for my mother's birthday and wanted to send flowers, I found Uptown Blossom's website the best as far as having a variety of arrangements to select from. Called and told them what my mom's favorite flowers were, which flowers and colors to avoid, and a price- they did a STUNNING job! Mom was thrilled and texted me a pic of the arrangement, it is just beautiful and perfectly suited for her tastes.
