After successfully using the internet to find about a dozen photographers (no hits, all misses) in the Anchorage area, I knew I needed more direction. Finding Lauren Roberts (the brains, talent, and amazingness behind Beauty Board Media) was the answer to my questions. Even while on a work-trip outside of Alaska, Lauren fielded my call and took some time to sit in a quiet place and chat with me about what exactly I was looking to do. I wanted my proposal to my girlfriend to be caught on camera so we could share that special moment with our friends and family all over the world. No big deal. Lauren and I spoke for days before she even started talking about the cost of this cross-country production I was planning. A couple from Texas celebrating the 4th of July in Anchorage with a proposal under the fireworks at a small college summer league baseball game. She was almost as excited about this as I was! The words "swoon" and "romantic" were thrown around excessively. Lauren promises, Lauren delivers. She brought along a second shooter to catch the moment in photos while she masterfully shot our video. At the time of writing this review the video has not yet been completed; we asked Lauren to take extra time and provided her recently with some other home video "gems" to work with. Like I said, her promise of a keepsake production cannot be ignored. It's amazing what Beauty Board Media has done for past clients (check out the website) and what she's done for Priscilla and me. The photos are outrageous. We can't stop looking at them. A few are being printed and framed once we decide which of them we like more than the others. It's a difficult task when each picture is a masterpiece. Our friends and family love the pictures. Our only regret is that Lauren is in Alaska and we're in Texas! We can't thank her enough. Her talent and passion captured our engagement; something no amount of money could recreate or duplicate. And now we have a way to revisit it forever. If you have any questions just message me. Look into the website and inquire about a package that interests you. I did the helicopter elopement. Through out the whole time Madison communicated effectively in letting me know what to expect. The ideas you give her about food, cake, flowers, everything, she will take and make one million percent better. The photos will show the extensive thought and effort she goes into making your dream a reality. The day Madison planned for us was a dream. Alaska was a dream. We picked Megan Freeman as our photographer from a great list of choices provided by Madison and we are so happy with how everything came out. I would not have wished or wanted anything else. It's normal to experience some nervousness, especially for a big moment like this. Let me tell you, all you have to do is show up. Madison truly made everything perfect. Sonja is amazing! I cannot stop gushing over her dedication to her clients or the beautiful quality of photos we received. In our first meeting with Sonja we clicked. She is such a bright and vibrant soul. Her passion for her work, clients and downtown Anchorage can't be matched. Our wedding was Memorial Day weekend 2018 and Sonja provided us with a phenomenal service. She is so down to earth, so easy to work with and has the patience of an saint because I know we were annoying lol! Her packages are reasonably priced and she was super flexible working with our budget and customizing our photo package to our needs. Her style is very editorial, clean and classic. I have been so happy with the photos I've received so far. She now offers her photo studio to brides, which can be added on to your packages. YOU MUST RENT HER STUDIO FOR YOUR GETTING READY PHOTOS!! It's much nicer than a hotel, she has a gorgeous vanity set up, it's very roomy, styles well with great furniture but most importantly is has the most beautiful abundance of natural light. Which makes for amazing photos, but even better selfies. I'm so glad I chose this add on over getting a hotel room downtown. First of all it's cheaper than getting a hotel room because it has more than enough space for 12+ people; the space is divided. I got ready in the back room and my groom showed up later and got ready in the front room. It was perfect in every aspect. I cannot thank Sonja and her husband enough for the amazing experience they provided us on our wedding day. She also does amazing boudoir and senior photos too!

They gave us a short (about 3 minute) snippet that we got to show off until our whole video was done. They were nice enough to come and video tape our Korean ceremony that we had a few days before the actual ceremony and incorporated it into the video. They were great about asking my opinions and included music that I requested. They had so many candid shots that really set the tone of our wedding. And nothing was forced or awkward. I've looked at the other videos on their site and can see the quality is consistent. They make it a point to really get to know their clients so they can interact well with them on camera. They were never obtrusive and they somehow managed to blend in to capture all those special moment. I love watching my video and always get caught up in the moment when I see it again and again. They even made my DVD sleeve look gorgeous! All these small details helped make this the perfect memento from the wedding. I loved working with them and when shopping around for a videographer never heard even a whisper of a complaint.

We had lots of unique challenges like planning a wedding in Alaska from Washington, getting married in a Russian orthodox church, a fairly unpredictable extended family, and a lot of surprise traditions I wasn't warned about. She took it all in stride. All of the pictures turned out amazing and perfectly captured our day. As a beginner to in in home yoga I wasn't quite sure what to expect and TBH I was a little nervous…read morethat my house would never be perfectly clean for her visits. But Teresa put me right at ease even brought her own water so I didn't feel like I was entertaining a guest but was there to get down to Yoga business. And she brought all of her own props. Teresa tailored our sessions to my needs and moods. That was the really neat thing about working one on one, you can adjust your poses in classes but it always feels awkward not following along. But one on one it's a completely collaborative experience. At the end of each session she reviewed the session and gave me a little, manageable homework. Also, there is a little bit of get to know you paperwork in the beginning. Another great tool in my yoga toolbox.
