It's much nicer than a hotel, she has a gorgeous vanity set up, it's very roomy, styles well with great furniture but most importantly is has the most beautiful abundance of natural light. Which makes for amazing photos, but even better selfies. I'm so glad I chose this add on over getting a hotel room downtown. First of all it's cheaper than getting a hotel room because it has more than enough space for 12+ people; the space is divided. I got ready in the back room and my groom showed up later and got ready in the front room. It was perfect in every aspect. I asked to change to studio or somewhere under an awning or something so we could just get the shoot done and over with and they said they don't do photos if its a rainy day. Its ALASKA. Its rains all the time! Needless to say, I lost all the money I spent on the shoot but I'm glad I didn't waste time with a shoot because I've heard only bad things from friends who booked through the company. Where to even begin... Shawna and Casey of Narrow Road Productions have become two of our favorite…read morepeople and not just because of their incredible photography talents. We initially adored their photographs and style which is why we booked them a year ahead of time to do our wedding photography. We had no idea just how involved they would be in preparing for and executing our special day. Shawna and Casey met with us to get an idea of our individual and collective styles, must-have photos, explained the various packages, and spent time just getting to know us as a couple. Once our wedding day arrived, we were amazed at how instantly comfortable we each felt with Shawna and Casey which is an especially huge accomplishment for my now wife whom is extremely shy normally. I still don't know how Shawna got some of the shots she did. My wife and I both were immensely impressed that we didn't even realize they were around half of the time yet when watching video and seeing the photos, they were always there capturing our special day. They even helped with maneuvering props and décor followed by helping clean up after the wedding which was not part of the plan. They truly went above and beyond for our special day. The true magic, however, came afterwards when we gained access to our online gallery. We were both so in awe that I totally cried- like, I actually sobbed when I saw the cover photo to our gallery nevertheless when we saw the rest of them. We've looked at the gallery no less than 20 times since we got it, and I cry every time because I am just so moved while my wife talks about the various aspects of each photo that she loves. This was no different when we received a package containing NRP coffee mugs and three beautiful boxes: 2 boxes for the flash drives we get to give our parents and 1 box with our flash drive plus printed photos of our special day. We cannot say enough wonderful and amazing things about our experience with Shawna and Casey. 10/10 would totally use them again - actually, we are using them again because we already booked a 1-year anniversary shoot with them because well, they're simply the best.

In fact, pictures from our beautiful event weren't even seen. Booking Erica for our parents anniversary was great. She was so nice and bubbly on the phone and we were able to get a hold of her easily to discuss details. We were really excited to meet her at the venue. Our party started at 6:30 and we asked her to arrive 15 minutes prior to that time. She showed up at 45 after. We were disappointed but she showed up with a smile and seemed ready to work so we let it go. We informed her which plate would be hers for dinner but asked that during dinner she went around and got some candid photos of our guests. She got up and took 1 photo of each table after eating and then asked to take the family photos that we wanted so she could leave afterward. This was only 1 1/2 hours into the event and we paid for 3 so we expected her to stay the remainder of the time and handed her her check then. Our mistake. She stayed another 15 minutes after taking our family photos (which we were so looking forward to seeing) and then left. We were shocked at the service we received. Especially because we liked her so much before she tried to jip us on time. A few days after the event we got a phone call from a very sorry Erica letting us know that our photos were accidentally deleted from the memory card and that they could not be recovered. While devastated we knew that there was ways to get those photos back because we have 2 very tech-savvy guys in our family and they've had experience with this very issue. She refused to let us try any of their techniques but was very apologetic. The good news is we received our money back. The bad news is, we have no photos of that night, and for a family who loves to document everything with images, this was a hard pill to swallow.

I love Erica. We hired her to for an engagement shoot and our wedding shoot. We had the…read moreengagement shoot last weekend (on the hottest day of the year so far). Even though it was hot, the pictures came out beautifully. We dragged her all around my old hood (Lakeview) and she took pictures in alleys, the brown line stop, a bookstore, and even in the Yogen Fruz. She made us look good, and not like the semi awkward nerds we are. I can't wait until my wedding next year for those pictures. She is also very affordable, personable and makes you feel comfortable while asking you to kiss in public. Also, as a random aside, she is the fastest eater ever.
