This was a trying experience from start to finish. First the restaurant reeked of bleach which right on the edge of what I could tolerate. Poorly made iced tea. How does one fail at unsweet tea? Based on our experience I would avoid this place. The thicker of the two steaks we ordered was almost rare, we ordered medium. The thinner steak was a little over cooked but better than rare to us. The server didn't seem to want to serve us from the start and was extremely slow. The kitchen was extremely slow. The restaurant was almost empty, it was a Sunday night. After over 1 hour since sitting down our food was on the way and the server helping our main server dropped what she was carrying. Our server never bothered to inventory what was dropped when she told us it would be remade and we never got 2 sides. The one full dish that was dropped took 25-30 minutes to be replaced. Paying was a very slow process and we had to ask 3 times for 1 to-go box. Our server had another server bring the box after the third ask. She was extremely rude for a server. Always out of prime rib at 4 pm on Sunday. Order one more rib for the weekend. It's shameful when you have your taste buds set for prime rib and they are out. What a shame. We don't really care for other menu items but the rolls are good. Service is okay and ambience is like a rundown farm house. Won't go back for a while. Prime rib is leaving the menu soon. Wow.... Just a horrible horrible experience sadly. We were here for over 2 hours, which I just don't understand to be honest. First we ordered our drinks, after 10-15 minutes she came back with the drinks but didn't even get all of our drinks. Then we ordered dinner, it took like an hour for it to come out after ordering...the steaks were not cooked correctly, sides were missing from my platter and I would have expected for the wait the food would have been hot but it was like warm at best. Then it was time for our check, that takes like another 20 minutes just for her to bring it and then another 10 after we gave her the card. Lastly we asked for a box, we had to ask 3 times and then someone else ended up bringing it back for us. I don't understand how the service could be so bad and the food all be wrong but I won't be back. The one redeeming factor was the bread which was soft and warm. read more

I've been to there Logan's locations and the food, though not spectacular, is usually decent. Not this one. I had what was probably the most tasteless steak I've ever had in my 60 years on the planet at this location. It was truly awful. The sides were pretty mediocre, too. The service was terrible, too. I've been to this Logan's numerous times. It's a great place for your golf foursome to get a post-links wine/cocktail/beer and split an appetizer. Or, I've visited with friends for a couple of hours in the bar area. I've also waited out my cat's (nearby) vet appointments here. Since I avoid red meat (I know, it's a steak place!) I typically get the salmon which is nicely priced/sized on the lunch menu! I get it with broccoli. I, nor any iterations of my friends, have been dissatisfied with a meal, an appetizer, or the service, here. My northern friend who drives through town once a year, can drink coffee non-stop, and this Logan's kept his coffee hot and full, cup after cup with no complaints. It's one of the very, very few places along this strip of Highway 20 where you can get a decent glass of pinot grigio. I think they serve Ecco Domini - not bad. read more

The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. However, the food quality and service time were horrible. I arrived around 1:30PM and the restaurant was empty. I was hungry and thought I'd get my meal quickly because the establishment was dead but boy was I wrong. It took about 40 mins to get my food after ordering. I choose the ribeye sandwich and the steak on the ribeye reminded me of the cheap steak they give you at the Waffle House. My whipped potatoes were warm enough to melt my butter... my 16oz Ribeye steak was warm and moist on the inside with a crispy exterior just the way I love it... The dinner rolls were warm and tasty and I was provided a seemingly endless supply. Even though they currently have a low rating on yelp, I wanted to come in and give them a chance and they exceeded my expectations I checked the ratings in the parking lot after I got out of my car and before I walked into the building... So my expectations were low at first... Y'all need to come in and give these folks a chance they are doing what's right... A few Sunday's ago, my family and I went to Logan's Roadhouse at 8994 Madison Blvd in Madison Alabama. We were sat quickly and Grace was our server. Grace took our order, and got rolls and drinks out to us really quick. It wasn't 10 minutes and our food was on the table, hot, fresh and it was all correct. Waiting staff is nice but place can get busy. Don't expect for people to get your order absolute as mistakes can happen due to the heavy influx of people but staff makes up for it in a hustle. Interesting tidbit: there's peanuts in a bucket. When you crack a peanut you can throw it away on the floor. It's a thing. I want to start this by saying that the front of house staff was great. Our sever was extremely attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. It wasn't busy but we waited over 20 mi it's for our food. I ordered a medium rare 12 oz ribeye and got a well done steak that was so thin it looked like a skirt steak. I asked to have it recooked and they brought back a steak that looked like it barely touched the grill. It was raw but I just took it because it wasn't sending it back a third time. I took the whole meal home and recooked it. I used to come here all the time but looking at the reviews, they should probably take a look at their kitchen. read more

Update. Logan's has offered to replace our meal. We ordered the grilled meatloaf which has always come with two big slices. It is a favorite of mine. It was delicious. The problem is they cut the meatloaf in half and still charged the same price. I asked the server. If they had cut the meal in half. She asked the manager and was told yes. Don't eat at this Logan's. One of the worst dinning experiences I've ever had. Everything was bad from service to food. All bad. My wife ordered the French Onion and steak salad. Th The steak was burned, they left off the tomatoes and the server brought it out with no dressing with my entrée and her soup after that. I ordered the beer battered fish with fries and green beans. My fish portion was very small and my green beans were cold. I did not get my fries. Not even after I ask for them to be brought out with the dressing for my wife's salad. I asked for my meal to be taken off my bill and it was. The manager that took it off my never came by to check on us. I ask to speak with a manager. When one finally come out to speak with me, she gave me a free appetizer card with a $25 purchase. That's just insult to injury. I have not been this disappointed in a restaurant in years. Logan's is by far the worst place to dine out here in Athens. They are even worse than Applebee's. read more

I moved here almost three and a half years ago. This used to be our family's first choice of eateries when I didn't feel like cooking. The service and food was great then. This location started to go down before Covid so that isn't the excuse. The food is subpar and the service staff are extremely nonchalant. I put some time before starting to come back, but I see things are still bad there. Came in today for a To Go order, and it took 17 minutes for the front desk person to come to the front to take my order. Other staff was busy playing around and throwing towels used to wipe tables and walls (which landed on the floor). The only professional person was the bartender. This was my last visit there. We have been coming here for a few years and Julie at the bar always takes care of us. She remembers our preferences without us even needing to ask. She is amazing! Tonight was an even greater visit as our dinner was phenom! We both got chicken Caesar salads. Usually good, but not so much phenom. Holy cow! I have never had a better cooked protein in a salad. The chicken was moist and PERFECT, it could have been an entree! I hear they have a new cook. Kudos to him for his talent and to the business for having him! My schedule and their location selected Logan's for Thursday night dinner. Not having such a good experience the last time I was there, I was still willing to give them another shot... Well, they missed the whole barn this time much less the target, I ordered their Hand-Cut Signature USDA Ribeye - 12 oz for 18 dollars plus, a baked potato with sour cream and butter, and a Cesar salad. My dining companion had grilled chicken with grilled vegetable skewer and a sweet potato... My steak was tuff, gristle filled and all around tasteless ... Not sure why but even the Caesar salad was off. I did enjoy my baked potato... Her vegetables were under cooked as well as her sweet potato , she said the chicken was good..... I would expect much better for the price of our meal. I ate about half of my steak , some salad and all of the potato.... If I had not been under a time crunch I would have sent it all back... I must say the service was excellent as well as the rolls. It will take a lot to get me back into Logan's. I have not tried the other locations around and I doubt I will ... I took a lunch break at Logan's Roadhouse on 2/23/17. I sat at the bar and was fortunate to have Jay as my server. He was very attentive throughout my lunch visit. I planned to just order a hamburger, but I reviewed the menu and saw grilled meatloaf. So I ordered the grilled meatloaf, mashed potatoes and rice. Jay served a basket of hot rolls with butter. I prepared the rolls to be consumed with meal. The plate arrived with two pieces of meatloaf, a large pile of taters, and rice. The meatloaf was grilled giving a firm, slightly charred, exterior. The meatloaf and mash potatoes were covered in nice warm brown gravy. I used the rolls to sop up the gravy and to clean my plate. My choice of the grilled meatloaf over the burger was a smart choice. Jay is a first class server who accented the lunch dinning experience. My ticket before tip was $14.80. read more

This location needs work! Although we (my party of12) arrived later in the evening, they accommodated us. Sammie our server, was great! She did the best she could with little to no help. Three out of the twelve member party enjoyed their food and the rest of us were sorely disappointed! Just wow. Maybe the worse restaurant experience. The server was completely oblivious, forgetting things, items missing from orders and then just not bringing 2 of our 5 adult entrees until 15 minutes after the rest of the food arrived. Not a single adult order was correct even after we received the food, nothing custom was ordered and the restaurant was not particularly busy. Now maybe just maybe she was a new server, in which case she needed to be shadowing someone or management keeping a close eye. Which is why I blame management here. Whoever manages this place needs to take it more seriously. The staff is inadequately trained in what most would consider basic server standards. No one was around to redirect or make sure things were running smoothly before it had gotten so bad. We ended up sending the late food back, which was still wrong. Had things removed from the bill that never arrived. Just bad. Only the kids ate and we ended up getting take out on the way home. Which is just extra disappointing once you get your kids to cooperate through a restaurant meal you thought you'd enjoy. I hate it here. read more
