He had lots of neat firearms to show and was just very friendly and hospital. Also genuine which is very much appreciated in a world of fake people and fake hospitality. He gave us a dozen farm fresh eggs and lots of good suggestions to eat, pick up pie, taste some wine etc. I've been wanting to get out of California since the moment I set foot here. I came in today and was helped by a young woman who was initially pleasant. She told me that I…read moreneeded to bring additional cash in order to buy back the earrings I had previously pawned. I gave her $10, and the amount owed was $7.50. She brought back my change and told me she was giving me $2.50, then placed the money in the slot. I noticed she said "$2.50," but I only saw $2 in bills and a few (dimes and nickels,) so I asked if she had any quarters. She said no, and I told her that was fine. I took my change and left. However, when I got to my car, I counted the change because something didn't feel right. I realized that she had only given me $2.40 instead of $2.50, leaving me 10 cents short. I walked back inside, and I saw her come to the window and place two nickels in the slot without saying a word. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the mistake. I walked back out to my car AND THEN noticed that my earring holder was missing from my jewelry box. I realized that when I originally pawned my earrings, I had given them the earring holder that contained my earrings. So, I went back inside ONCE AGAIN to ask if they still had my holder. This time, a man came to the window, and I asked if they still had my earring holder. He went to the back and asked the young woman about it. She became very loud with him and spoke as though I had accused her of something ABSOLUTELY heinous. I was surprised by her negative reaction, especially since I was simply asking about an item that belonged to me. The owner eventually came out. He was kind and professional, and I appreciate that he made an effort to rectify the situation. He gave me a new jewelry box, which I appreciated. That is why I am giving this business 2 stars (instead of 1). Lastly, 10 cents and a bad attitude may not seem like a big deal, but small situations like this can easily become a bigger issue in the future, especially when dealing with customers' money and personal belongings. I hope all employees receive the proper training and customer-service guidance to ensure situations like this do not happen again.

Earlier this week I went in and was greeted by a man with dark hair, and got help from an employee named Josh. Josh went above and beyond to explain the process and listened to my story with compassion: my grandmother just passed away and left me more items than I expected. I went in knowing they only took silver and gold at the moment, but again, the process was so smooth and Josh was very friendly and professional. Fast forward to today. I went in and saw Josh, who was with another customer, so I decided to go to the blonde woman seated at the counter. No smile, no welcoming energy, and she barely even blinked when I explained my story and commended Josh for doing an excellent job. Not only did she toss my items around as if they were trash, she had the audacity to grab the items I WAS CURRENTLY SORTING THROUGH to check them. I said, in a polite tone, "I would rather hand the pieces to you myself, not to be rude." No one else was in the store and I wasn't taking my time, she was just rushing me. When she finally took the items worth anything, I already knew in my mind I didn't want to do business with her. And when I said I'd rather take it to someone else she gave a snotty "Okay" and didn't even tell me to have a good day. Basic Customer Service. Pawn Shop, McDonald's, JCPenney, wherever you work with people you have to be SOMEWHAT personable. The only reason I would go back is to have Josh assess my items. But the blonde employee put a super bad taste in my mouth. This is the kind of thing that makes or breaks repeat business for me. I am extremely grateful that I found Tracy Pawn. I have been the sole provider for my household…read moresince my significant other was diagnosed with cancer and it has been extremely difficult financially to keep up with all the bills. In the past I have used pawn shops to get a short term loan by using gold as collateral. I brought a few pieces of jewelry to Tracy Pawn and they were extremely professional, transparent, and empathetic towards my situation. I admitted to them that I felt somewhat embarrassed that I had to do this but they reassured me there is no judgment on their part nor should I feel ashamed about doing whatever I needed to do make ends meet. The loan process was explained to me in simple terms and I love that you get 120 days instead of 90 days to pay the loan back and get your items which is what exactly what I did. A few months later I went back to Tracy Pawn to get a loan again and when I went to pick it up I told them that I needed to take another loan out so I could pay off the current one since I didn't quite have enough until payday. The staff told me not to do that because I would be paying way too much in interest and instead I should just pay the extension fee which gave me another 120 days to pick up my item. I was surprised that they genuinely wanted to save me money rather than take more from me. They told me they didn't feel right about making me pay a lot more than I should when there was a better option available to me especially since the goal was to pay my bills not create new ones! I also ended up selling some gold jewelry which I no longer had any use for and they paid me top dollar for my gold. I couldn't thank them enough for helping alleviate a lot of stress and anxiety on how I was going to get the bills paid that month. I highly recommend Tracy Pawn if you are in need of a short term loan or want to sell items of value to a business that is honest and fair.
