Bought my first ounce of gold here and sold my first ounce of gold here. This is a really respectable establishment that sells at a good price and offers fair value . When I needed quick money and had to sell some coins they gave a great deal that helped me out. Highly recommended read more

Came on a high volume day , nonetheless the customer service was ...not friendly and very rude. 10/10 do not recommend take your valued coins elsewhere. read more

Super fast service, I was in and out of there within 10 minutes. They weighed the pieces, used their gun to verify purity, and gave me nearly spot value. Super fair. Paid me out in cash. You will need your government issued ID and they take a thumb print. read more

Helpful and honest service. We will be back. Decent selection and informative employees.

Very knowledgeable, friendly, and understanding staff Joel is good people.they treat you fair.

I had some silver and gold I wanted to sell and had a good experience here. It was Monday, which turns out to be a normally busy day. I watched the person tally up what I brought and he sorted it by quality. He gave me a check and a smile once he was done. They pay a good rate. I'd gotten about 50 feet from the door and I heard him calling my name. It turns out we'd both overlooked the little bit of scrap gold I'd brought and he called me back to wrap that up. That's called "Honest" and I know I can trust them. read more

They have gotten very arrogant as to how they treat their customers. Want to underpay you for your silver and gold.

I can't say enough good about these guys. Quick, honest, fair, and dare I say: generous, too.

Hey went in here on Monday and oh my what a visit. I use to come there a lot a few years back but since would send my girl for me which nothing was ever wrong up until this Monday. I walk in silver is at 79.84 a oz I come in to try and sell two of them he told me best he could do is 60, because he sells his for 70. Again price is at 79.84 and all his kids are looking at me to see if ima sell it. I'm not dumb I put em back and showed him so ms 70 graded coins again told me he sells those for 72 dollars out the door all the time. Now I get mad I tell him to sell me them for 72 and the ungraded for 70 and I'll buy em right now. Awkward silence then refused my business. Again I will no longer buy or support racist people. My girlfriend is white and she goes in her dad goes in good deals me being Mexican they act like my dumb and don't look at prices. I wasn't expecting spot or melt price for my silver I asked for 70 on the raw and 90 on the ms 70 coins. Leaving room for him to still make money seeing I'm asking below spot but some peoples greed and racist ways will always get the best of them. And it's not a good look to have your son walking around eating a donut talking to people in there face while spitting food it's sick and I hope they find god, and not that stuff read more

Service was great. Joel really knew what he was talking about. If you are a coin, collector, or brand new to coin collecting this place is for you! They have a fantastic display of coins, old, and new ones to choose for your collection. And although you may look in there and think it's quite a bit disorganized, they know where everything is, and where to find it for you! At Avenue Coin, you will get the right price for whatever silver or gold you may want to either buy or sell. They do not give you the runaround or the old switcheroo. Very friendly and honest people I definitely highly recommend this place! read more

Grading coins is very objective, the best Numismatic professional in the world still are obligated to have others decipher before ( i..e..a ms66 or ms 67) coming to their final conclusion Just to say I've been coming here since I was a child, speaks volumes.if hey, anyone has had the opportunity to owner on business. They would understand exactly the significance of this More importantly, I've been to coin shops from here to Oregon. I would never even contemplate(parting with a coin, selling sounds too painful)a coin to any other coin shop. When there jammed packed they still take the time to examine each coin for both parties besr interests. Even separate Morgan "dollars into their respective condition. if they can make it by almost giving you the correct premium they will. Stocktons a tough place to sell high End graded slabs coniistently Thank you just wanted to Ty. read more

Joel and Jerry are very knowledgeable, nice and freindly. BOB the owner is a funny guy that cares about his customers

Excellent place to do business! Such friendly staff and so considerate! I love getting our needs met here!

Do not sell your jewelry to these people because they are not honest at all! I went to Cassidy's loballs and loans, and they offered me $150 as a loan for a diamond ring and directed me to (Avenue coin scammers) to sell it. I'm pretty sure that they call ahead to get the lowball scam going. When I got there, the old lady first started telling me about all the certificates she has in jewelry, and diamonds, then proceeded to tell me my 14k ring was 10k and the diamonds wasn't worth anything. Tried to manipulate the metal tester like I was boo boo the fool and offered me $120 ($30) less than Cassidy's but still in the price range. Then she told me to go shop around before selling to her (basically trying to get me to accept Cassidy's $150 offer or hers). That's how I know they were working together. They swindle you out of your jewelry to make 1000% (no cash out all cash in). Do Not Sell To Them!!! Weigh your own gold and get your jewelry appraised (at a real jewelry store) before selling. There's no telling how many (desperate for money) people they've swindled. read more

I highly recommend this establishment because they are very honest even when they are out of stock they inform when next shipment comes in. Witch isn't long after being informed. Very respectful witch goes a long way in this business. I'm fairly new to stacking but haven't purchased any precious metals from the internet such as SD bullion because this place always beats the premiums. I buy ounces of gold and tubes of silver always beautiful pieces. Thank you and I hope this helps anyone skeptical on purchasing precious metals. read more

JOEL and the Avenue Coin shop were very kind and helpful to me both in the phone and in person. They allowed an OFFER UP seller to meet me at their shop to help me determine if the old currency the Offer Up seller was offering were replicas or if they were authentic. Turns out the bills were real but the seller was way out of the ballpark regarding the asking price. Joel was very professional and did not get involved in pricing or the finances of the deal. I look forward to returning to purchase something from their store as their inventory continues to increase post COVID. read more

Good LCS for gold and silver products which i purchase. Easy going staff seem knowledgeable about their items

Joel will take time and examine each coin. I went to Modesto coin and they offered $300. Joel paid $600 for the same coins. It was worth the drive. I wouldn't go anywhere else to buy or sell. A very honest place to do business. I want to make sure that this business received 5 stars read more

I went here with my friend Paul. Paul purchased four gold bars from them. Paul had his receipt and his bars were still in the plastic and sealed. The employees inspected the gold bars and their equipment could not detect the gold through the plastic. I asked them try on their own inventory and the same result occurred and they were uncertain how to proceed. We were asked to return and the owner claimed Paul and I were frauds who had earlier gone to a Manteca store with the intent to sell fake gold bars. I can personally swear that I have never been to any gold exchanges in Manteca. In fact, I'm a law school graduate and told the shop owner about the warranty for fitness and merchantability. Those are in the Uniform Commercial Code and that document governs the "sale of goods". He became apprehensive and and refused to buy back his gold bars at market price even though his store sold Paul those gold bars. To make matters worse he actually is committing defamation in the post below by publishing defamatory material about me, that is false, and offensive, without any consent or privilege. In fact because it concerns a crime and could lower my estimation within the community it's likely to be considered libel, and slander per se. Shame on this store for their epic failure. read more

Kinda messy coin store, but everyone is very friendly. Stay away at lunchtime people selling there stolen goods, I mean jewelry so it gets kinda busy. I'll keep returning read more

Had a good experience here today. I brought in some old(ish) coins just to see what they'd give me for them. I was helped by a fella named Jerry who separated them into piles and quoted me prices for each pile. I know none of the coins were in any extraordinary condition so getting just a quick flat rate without nitpicking each coin's condition was nice. It was even nicer that the rate was quite fair too! Pretty much as close to what I could get selling on ebay, but with the added luxury of not having to go through the trouble of listing them (I've done it before and it's often more work than it's worth...) Like another Yelper wrote, the price was as generous as one could hope from a shop that intends to resell them. All in all, I walked out with a little over $100 and didn't even sell the bulk of my collection. I even kept my nearly-full album of old wheat pennies which I was happy about because of the history I have with it. I'm glad I found this place since it's only a 5 minute drive from my house, and I will definitely be back when I find the rest of my coins that are (I hope) still stashed away in the attic somewhere. read more

I have been here twice to cash in some silver walking liberty coins and will be going again in the near future. Theres a few things that earned them a 5 star from me. 1. Their prices. The amount I recieved was close to price of silver that day. Thats a huge deal for especially since I went to place in the same town I lived in the day before and received $3less per coin. 2. They were super friendly and were great to my son who was asking many questions 3. My son has been obsessed with coins since our first visit and going thru coins has become something fun we do together! read more

Came in here to see if they would buy a couple coins from me. I was surprised to not only be able to sell them, but get a more than fair deal from a place that still needs to resell them. If you sell on ebay, you can save the fees and shipping cost and get your money right away. I may still continue to buy on ebay, but I wont sell there anymore. read more

I have bought and sold bullion here and it was pleasant every time, great staff.

Always fair prices. Easy and pleasant to deal with. Even voluntarily upped the offer $20 to a metal detected gold ring for a small diamond I didn't think was real. I would never go anywhere else to buy or sell gold, silver or coins. read more

These guys are thieves, go to your personal jeweler. I took two 22K solid stamped 916 East Indian bangles for scrap. The 1st guy said they're 22K solid gold after xray, but was going to offer only $800 due to his estimate of 4 gm of stones ( diamond, sapphire, citrine, & peridot) so I took them home & popped them out & it was only 1 gm less. I came back a few days later, & the woman there was claiming they were only plated, I had stopped by the pawn right up the street & they scanned it and claimed they were only 19K solid & that's what they'd pay, so I went back to Ave Gold. Now this woman on Avenue Gold is claiming they're plated & takes a file & GRINDS & SHAVES & SHAVES OFF 1.5 gm. Then she claimed they're only 16K according to the same xray gun the last guy there used to check at 22K solid and would only pay that, after STEALING & FILING 1.5 grams OFF! So I took them back & went to a friend's jeweler in Moke Hill, they WERE 22K solid & he said they were trying to screw me & that the minimal amount of glue to hold gems was what they were trying to use to falsify readings. I got full price for my gold left, which was still more than they'd offered me. Avenue Gold are cheats & snakes. Go somewhere else!! Stole 1.5 gm of my gold!! read more
