I came in today and was helped by a young woman who was initially pleasant. She told me that I needed to bring additional cash in order to buy back the earrings I had previously pawned. I gave her $10, and the amount owed was $7.50. She brought back my change and told me she was giving me $2.50, then placed the money in the slot. I noticed she said "$2.50," but I only saw $2 in bills and a few (dimes and nickels,) so I asked if she had any quarters. She said no, and I told her that was fine. I took my change and left. However, when I got to my car, I counted the change because something didn't feel right. I realized that she had only given me $2.40 instead of $2.50, leaving me 10 cents short. I walked back inside, and I saw her come to the window and place two nickels in the slot without saying a word. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the mistake. I walked back out to my car AND THEN noticed that my earring holder was missing from my jewelry box. I realized that when I originally pawned my earrings, I had given them the earring holder that contained my earrings. So, I went back inside ONCE AGAIN to ask if they still had my holder. This time, a man came to the window, and I asked if they still had my earring holder. He went to the back and asked the young woman about it. She became very loud with him and spoke as though I had accused her of something ABSOLUTELY heinous. I was surprised by her negative reaction, especially since I was simply asking about an item that belonged to me. The owner eventually came out. He was kind and professional, and I appreciate that he made an effort to rectify the situation. He gave me a new jewelry box, which I appreciated. That is why I am giving this business 2 stars (instead of 1). Lastly, 10 cents and a bad attitude may not seem like a big deal, but small situations like this can easily become a bigger issue in the future, especially when dealing with customers' money and personal belongings. I hope all employees receive the proper training and customer-service guidance to ensure situations like this do not happen again. read more

They set me up with an outstanding item and I was very happy I had gone to this place and will continue to patronize them. I offered dude a 100 bucks to just give me back my property. $15 a coin on almost $32 a piece melt value is straight. Predator behavior. I thought i was getting $30 a piece. Leaving u guys to make 2 bucks and some change off of each coin u bought off me. Easily over a $100, but u guys hit me for 52% way more then the 10% 15% quoted over the phone which is still robbing u from any profitd u would have gained from buying and holding onto ur coins for over 15 years. He didn't have the 1946 in the moment but told me if he ever got one he would call me . My bezel broke on me and he was able to check it out for me and sell me another one that caught my eye and I mentioned the 1946 coin to him and I can't thank mark enough for this but he was willing to give me one of his personal 1946 coin to me to help represent my late grandfather. I came into The Gold Digger to sell a ring for my friend who was recently offered over $1,000 dollars at this location for the same ring. My friend happened to be busy this day and asked me to sell the ring while they completed their errands. We had also just got the ring appraised the day before for twice the amount offered to my friend from The Gold Digger. Unfortunately, I was offered under $200 dollars for the same ring when I presented the ring alone. I brought in some 14K, and 18K Gold and diamond jewelry and 2 Italian Gold bracelets. The price I received was very fair. I noticed their beautiful diamond wedding bands and bought 2 to add onto my wedding ring. I also had them solder all 3 rings together -- Wow! What a difference it made. There are 14 diamonds on each band and they look great. My daughter and I went in last week to look at diamonds for her new wedding ring. After I explained to her what my visit was for she proceeded to evaluate my jewelry. She was very thorough, and took her time mesuring and weighing everything. When she was finished, she gave me all the particulars of what my items were worth and what they could give me for it. Although what I had was worth less than I thought, she took the time to explain what the break down was and educated me on what would be best for me.
