This is my favorite and most frequented library so far for studying (and I've been to 9 different…read morelibraries this year). There are 3 floors. The 3rd floor is a designated quiet floor. And the 2nd floor, although it's not specifically a quiet floor, is usually quiet enough for me to not need headphones. Also, because there are 3 floors, I am almost always guaranteed to find a free table. There are over 30 tables throughout the library (not including cubicles). They also have a little eating area on the first floor which is great if you plan on being there for an extended period of time/during a meal time. They have some snacks you can buy there as well. You can eat non odorous snack foods in the library, but if you have a sandwich or got food delivered, you need to eat in the cafeteria area. Overall, this is my absolute favorite library. Plus all the staff has been very kind to me and super helpful. 10/10 would recommend if you need a quiet place to study for the day!

This person walked in and started talking (more like screaming to me) like she was making a presentation to a crowd. Small conversations or stepping outside for a chat would be a nice, logical normal thing to do. Not to mention polite thing to do.

About a library, no less…read more Currently, I'm rocking some fast wifi, plugged into a nice lamp outlet (on every table) and watching the sunset over Cold Spring Harbor. What?! Aren't libraries supposed to be damp, dusty dungeons? Not when you're dropping CSH taxes :D. Besides this room there are small meeting rooms, tutor rooms, a children's center, a porch with chairs, plenty of computers to use, and a main room that looks like an awesome lodge. There are some fatty leather chairs around this place that I would take home and put in my house. The dvd selection is large, you can download e-books to your tablet and rumor is there are some books somewhere around here. No joke, this is the best library I have ever seen. Take a second to enjoy the quiet and the view here anytime you can.

Broadway quality shows for a fraction of the price. The Plaza Organization had humble beginnings in the early 80's. They have provided countless shows, workshops etc. since then. Working with various organizations across Long Island. The new venue at the library opened in January 2021. The 7000 square foot space houses a 420 seat theater and various offices. It puts on fully staged Broadway performances complete with a live orchestra! My friends and I had the pleasure of seeing their production of South Pacific on Friday 10/15/2021. It was spectacular! There are three other plays slated to run to complete the entire season. Each production runs for four weeks. I am currently gathering more friends and family to see their next production, Man Of La Mancha!! She loves her job and the kids of valley stream which I appreciate so much. My father uses takes my daughter and we always raves about how fun the events are with Ms. Kunz. I went for myself and was so impressed. She gets all the kids involved and happy. In the summer they have the story times all around the neighborhood such as firemans field, village green, green acres mall and more. My daughter absolutely loves the Valley Stream childrens program and as a parent who couldn't afford summer camp I appreciate this program so much. It helps us keep our children busy and entertained. Ms Kunz, please keep doing the children's program because you are a blessing to Valley Stream and it's residents!
