Absolutely insane. I come in for a 3o'clock, and am left with my hair unwashed while the owner…read morerefuses to give me a clear yes or no on what I can/cannot do with my hair currently. After the eventual wash, he left me to style my own hair while he went and talked to another guest right beside me. While writing this review he looks at my phone and comments. This is crazy, and what I was left with was nothing even remotely close to what I had asked for in the picture. Which once again, another factor of him refusing to give a yes or no. The only thing we were clear on in the end is that the cut and style were sub-par, and that I did NOT want to pay.

I called a few shops that said they took walk ins and they were all booked for the day at 9am. I called fancy cuts and Yen answered and invited me to come on over. Now it's in a shopping plaza and it's not a fancy place by any means. The last time I went to super cuts/famous Sam's or even the last high end places left me sad and upset. So as I walk in and see a barber cutting a kids hair and no one else in the shop I got a lil worried. Then came from the back and was not what I expected compared to boujee shops I've been to lately. I asked her if she could cut dry and she assured me she could. I showed her photos and she immediately said she understood the assignment. I was already in the chair and I just closed my eyes and began to pray. Can you imagine my surprise when I opened my eyes and the excess hair was gone, my hair had movement, and it was so stinking cute!!!! the best part is the haircut was 25 bucks!!!! They have a loyalty rewards program so you get a stamp everytime you go and then a free cut. I have found my diamond in the rough, yen is my new bff and I will continue to see her. The amount of compliments I have gotten in the last 24 hours is freaking crazy! Go see her for a haircut but not too often cause I'll need to get in every so often

I arrived at 1:30, wasn't spoken to until 1:37 to be told person who I was scheduled with was on the way. Waited 20 minutes and person never showed up. Wasted an hour of my day. Very unprofessional to not be present for an appointment that was confirmed 4 times. Do not recommend this place for a woman. If you're a guy getting a hair cut then you'll be quickly taken care of.

It was a short wait after signing in as a walk-in. My aunt was hesitant to get a cut with someone she didn't know. but where she went before didn't do a great job. The only direction was that she didn't want it much shorter. She doesn't speak much English and was hard of hearing. The stylist was very patient and understanding and did a great job! My aunt was very happy, communicating with a thumbs up sign at the end. As I sat waiting for her. you could see the interactions with new & returning customers. Great neighborhood spot.

Personally I wanted to brighten up my long dark locks with a richer tone. Opting for balayage style, the color has lasted in all vibrancy, its first three weeks. (They do natural which I was not truly sure they'd nail, they did; and do all other colors of the rainbow). Amber the owner takes on all new clients, does a demo and sets them up with her best. I was lucky enough to get the best! I'm going to stick with Amanda and hope the next pick me up goes even better. Enjoy the sitting room and if your with youth, of which they actually accommodate (lucky minis) have fun taking some pictures outside, you'll see what I mean. X, Diana

A lot of my friends were raving about Brandy and her Balayage specialty so I gave it a try, especially after seeing her amazing work on Facebook! Booking appointments used to be through texts & emails but now you can book on Styleseat.com! Just a heads up that she is a busy lady though so you need to book a month ahead of time (sometimes more lol) Also her salon is located INSIDE a nail store! It's been a year an a half since I've been going to Brandy and I always leave very satisfied. From the beginning, she made sure I was comfortable and she is extremely easy to talk to. Not only that, but she helps you out with what color looks great on your skin tone & she really takes her time making your hair into an art! Brandy is a hair goddess & you'll be loving your hair so much!

I admired her work and service so I tried to book an appointment for a toner in advance. I follow her Instagram page and she posts open dates with times and you would Google text your name plus choice. After multiple attempts and no response, I left a voicemail at the front office. She messaged back saying she was unable to receive my Google texts because it was down. So she arranged appt, and she cancels it one hour before the time. Ok life happens, so I was understandable, and she said she would reach out to me to reschedule. After countless Google texts, texts to her phone and Instagram, she doesn't respond ever. So I gave up now. This is so unprofessional. Pretty sad because I'm Vietnamese and wanted to support another. The salon is clean and nice, but Brandy doesn't respond. Why even bother scheduling appointments and canceling or lie. Just say respond no or something. She posts daily on instagram with open slots and stories so everything seems fine and dandy. That's it for me, moving on to Bedford salon which had so much better service!
