So I told them to put me on the list and that I was going to try to reach another locksmith as I was supposed to be at work! I did call the other locksmith in the area, no answer for one, and the other one answered and told me that his technician would be reaching out to me. When the 45 minutes came up, Tom had called me back from Hoosier Locksmith and said that he was five minutes away, he showed up, he was professional, courteous, and very nice. Overall, even helped me look for my keys in the car when they were not where I thought they were going above and beyond. He would only program it if I bought one of his remotes then I asked for the cost. I said would be $100.00 . He said oh it will be well over $100 .00 plus the re- program fee. I said thank you and left. I went to my other place that was 30 min a way and they programmed it for $20.00 . l was trying to give a local company business but never again. I will not recommend them to anyone after this experience. This is second time it's happened. He either didn't know how to do it or he must of just been try to make money off his customer .

When there were issues with my lock, the professional (Chris) who served me went beyond the call of duty to solve the problem. The lock, which I had purchased online and not from Elmer & Sons, malfunctioned and caused my front door to jamb. Chris helped my wife and I get the door open and even came back another time to ensure the replacement lock was installed properly and without further complications. Even though this meant putting in a little extra time to get the job done--some of it possibly off-the-clock--he did not rest until our lock was functioning properly and we were satisfied. Later on that same day, my wife had challenges figuring out how to get the lock to function due to its security features. Being the professional he is, Chris swung by our home once again to demonstrate the security features of the lock and make sure she was in the know. As a small business owner, it is my opinion that the best companies to do business with are the ones that not only do good work but they know how to handle the inevitable bumps in the road that come up when dealing with customers. In this regard, great companies: (1) employ skilled professionals who are "bothered" when a job they work on does not meet their own or the customers expectations; (2) receive feedback from the customer about problems and respond professionally and not defensively; (3) set out to do whatever it takes to make things right within reason and occasionally even at their own expense (Napoleon Hill's Principle of Going the Extra Mile); (4) do what they say they're going to do; and (5) don't expect a pat on the back for doing what they said they were going to do.
